Leliana Catacombs
The Gray Mountains of Garrus Prime
It is said that when a King dies, he is buried with everything he treasured most in life. Gold, jewels, slaves, even horses. Everything he might need in his journey into the afterlife. It is spoken in tales and sung in tavern songs both far and wide. Legends that endure. Indeed, and it is legends like that have attracted tomb-raiders to the Leliana Temple for centuries.
"... I see. And now it's up to us to go in there looking for them, right?"
Karen Roberts pouted her lips and swung her hips with distaste. Their Twi'lek guide could only shrug at her protest and continued,
"Well. Yes? Really. ...I mean? I'll be going with you of course."
"Ha. Righttt. You, and the rest of the Royal Calvary behind us? I get it. Heh. So much for an easy mission, eh Roberts?"
Grant Pherson stepped forward and shook his head with a smile. He and Karen were partners. Force Knights who had been asked to help with a little problem. Well... A Royal problem, I suppose. Seeing as the regal Guardsman behind Pherson began to speak up,
"Master Pherson. Surely you don't expect the Royal Guard to follow you and the lady down into a dark and dusty tomb, do you? Oh no! ...We'll stay up here and guard the entrance. And um... Make sure it's safe for you return."
Karen sighed and stepped forward to wave the Lieutenant away,
"Thank you Lieutenant. But Knight Pherson, Scout Kregs, and myself; we have the situation well in hand. Now. If you and your men will excuse us? ...We'd like to talk in private. Thank you for your escort."
The exotically dressed Guardsman bowed his exit as Grant folded his strong arms over his chest,
"So? ...Tomb Raiders to rescue the Tomb Raiders eh? Fun fun."
"Oh shut up Grant. If the Prince and his fraternity brothers are still down there, then we have to save them. The guards most certainly don't feel like volunteering."
"Yeah. Surprising no one. Heh."
The green skinned Twi'lek, Kregs, stepped forward with a wave of his hand.
"If I might? These tombs are quite dangerous. The Queen was rather persistent that only Jedi Warriors would do. The Guardsmen as simply being cautious. I'm sure."
"Righttt. Sure thing Kregs. Bah! ...Let's just go in after them. No use standing around here anymore."
Karen raised a finger in the air to slow her bold companion down,
"Not so fast Grant. We're still expecting the mercenaries the King hired. The bounty for the Princes safe return had gathered more than just our attention, I can assure you."
"Humph. Very well. I'll go look at the doorway while you and the guide stay here. I just hope our company arrives sooner, rather than later."
Pherson was an impatient warrior. Good thing then, that Karen had patience for the both of them. Kregs relented,
"Thank you Knight Roberts. I'd hate to leave anyone behind."
"Think nothing of it Master Scout. We shall gather together and go raiding into the mountain shortly."
She gave the Catacombs entrance a grave look. There were black clouds approaching from above it's white borders. The doorway was ominous even in the daylight and it appeared a storm was coming.
"... Yes. Very soon indeed."
