The business of Hutts

Location: Mos Eisley, Tatooine.

Objective: Weapons smuggling to Nar Shaddaa.

The twin suns of Tatooine glared down on the spaceport of Mos Eisley. The oppressive mid day heat sent many residents seeking shade. Gida was one of these people, as she sat on a crate in a shaded spot in the hangar. Her fingers slowly drummed on the crate as her eyes took in her surroundings.

The young Twi'lek was patiently waiting for the rest of the cargo to be loaded. Military grade weapons bound for Nar Shaddaa. Normally not a problem given the planets reputation, who they were being delivered to was the problem. Several smaller gangs had recently struck against Ebor the Hutt in an attempt to strip away some of his territory.

A bold attack such as this brought out caught the attention of another Hutt, Varos. The two Hutts had a bitter history with one another, but each would never directly engage the other. With the recent attacks, however, Varos saw opportunity. By supplying weapons to the smaller gangs, he would be able to gain a foothold on Nar Shaddaa, something he had failed to do several times before.

This is why Gida was here on this dust ball of a planet. A simple smuggling run to Nar Shaddaa with a ship loaded with weapons. The task itself seemed simple since the smugglers moon wasn't exactly strict on such cargo being brought in. What made it difficult was the fact that she had to drop said cargo off in the heart of Ebor's territory. Which was almost completely locked down do to recent events. That was her job though, finding ways to get cargo into difficult areas. The job itself most certainly had it's challenges, but the pay out was going to be worth it.

Tatooine was nothing like the grimy streets of Corellia that Vinera was used to. Sand was already caked into her boots, but the sun was a welcome challenge, considering she spent most of her life in the shadows. She probably would've stayed, if it hadn't been for the loss of her sister and the loss of income. It was easier to make money out in the dusty planets where laws were rarely enforced by the corrupt officers trying to hold everything together.

Cargo was nearly loaded when she arrived at the docking bay. With nothing but the clothes on her back and her trusty blaster, it was high time she finally find a job to get her off this planet. She wondered if she would ever have to come back. Smuggling was a nomadic way of life, and Vin often wondered to herself where exactly she would end up at the end of all of this.

Considering her novice status in such a profession, Vin was pleasantly surprised to hear it was a simple weapons run from Tatooine to Nar Shaddaa. With the help of Gida to get her on her feet, she hoped the mission would be easy. Little did she know exactly why they called Nar Shaddaa the Smuggler's Moon. The scum and villainy of Mos Eisley was just the surface.
