Description:
The Black Talon Transport, a custom built variation of Blood Hunter's Lancer Heavy Freighter, serves it's owner in a whole new capacity. This particular vessel was designed around the transportation of vast quantities of cargo, as was it's predecessor, but with a radical shift in intended goods. With this drastic change many of the original systems were replaced, expanded upon, or altogether eliminated. So much so that the new Black Talon Transport can no longer be considered the same craft as it's originator.
Zenva's primary focus on this unique vessel was to remodel the massive cargo space. The original Lancer Transport featured a vast three story cargo hold, capable of trafficking dozens, if not hundreds, of heavy walkers, main battle tanks, speeder craft, swoop bikes, and perishable goods. While the first deck remains unchanged, able to accommodate some dozen walkers, or main battle tanks, the remaining decks of the cargo hold have been completely remodeled. The second and third deck are now wholly dedicated to detention cells of two varieties, individual cells or eight man detention blocks.
Along with this massive holding cell system comes a first for Blood Hunter's Iron Works, an expansive internal automated defense turret system. Several dozen droid controlled stun turrets are situated throughout the entire vessel, with the heaviest concentration of turrets located in the cargo area. These turrets are programmed to distinguish between crewmembers and targets. There is no middle ground. In the event this emergency system is activated all non-crew personnel aboard The Black Talon are automatically targeted and fired upon until the controlling droids determine the target is no longer a threat to the vessel.
Beyond these additional systems a third Clan Heart Reactor system has been added. This reactor is directly connected to the detention block and internal defense turrets. Shielded against Ion and Electrical interference, this reactor is highly likely to remain active at all times. Ensuring that the ship's precious cargo remains under lock and key.
The armaments remain very similar to the original vessel with little added in the way of overall firepower. The ship remains true to it's intended purpose, transportation not war. The Black Talon's weaponry comes primarily in the form of defensive emplacements, Quad Cannons to stafe off enemy fighters and Point Defense Turrets to destroy incoming missile fire. The ship's only purely offensive weaponry takes the form of two M.A.R.C. 1 heavy mass drivers. Due to the shear size of these cannons they are built into the ship's superstructure, rendering them as forward firing weapons only. Any target foolish enough to attempt to block The Black Talon's established path is in for a nasty surprise. These fire linked mass drivers unleashing their payload is nothing to underestimate. Naturally these cannons still require their typical reload and recharge cycle before they are able to fire a second volley.
