The Bird Is On The Hunt

Outer Rim
Orbiting Voss
Silver Sanctum Space

As the Jackdaw approached Voss, Songbird considered just what she was doing. The woman had stumbled across an old Corellian bounty, for a man named [member="Kiran Arlos"]. Former Corellian police officer, went rogue and killed seven men suspected of murdering his family. She felt for the man, she really did; which is why she wanted to find him, and help him straighten out his problems.
"Are you sure this is where the informant said he was at, R6?"
The astromech whirled an affirmative, and the Talravani sighed. Yeah, that's what she thought. She had to track down a dangerous fugitive on a planet filled with Jedi. Perfect.

The Jackdaw landed at the port without a hitch, and Songbird paid the landing fee without a protest. Behind her orange goggles, she stared at her environment. What a beautiful place. Clean, pristine, and chock-full of a mix of people.
She could definitely see why this place was considered the jewel of the Sanctum.

But she didn't dwell on that long. After all, she had a fugitive to find. The big question was: how in the bloody hell was she supposed to go about that?

"This?" Kiran raised up a small trinket just enough to garner some attention from the vendor. Words were exchanged between the two in language not common for a Human as he Kiran set the trinket down and then picked up another one. "What about this?" The young man raised another one up again, as just then another exchange of words happened and Kiran showed the smallest of smiles and set the trinket down again, looking at more things. Kiran dressed in rather casual attire, the only thing of any worth note was that there was a blaster strapped to his right thigh on the outer side, something he could easily get too and in perfect arms reach. And tucked within his jacket was a lightsaber, granted he wasn't proficient at all in using it. And if he were to use it, it would do more harm than good.

Kiran waved a farewell towards the Vendor as he decided to take a better look around. Kiran's life seemed to come to a standstill, with the Destruction of Corellia and the seemingly destroyed. The attempts against his life had lessened and he wasn't in as much danger as he was before. He had arrived on planet by way of an acquaintance, Boo Chiyo and Lumi Snow had also accompanied him. And all the while he had hoped he would find what he was looking for here, things seemed to be more strange than before. While he had learned of the force, but hadn't practiced in its art as much as he should have. The weight of what happened still a a constant reminder that he might never find peace. And while he had hoped the Jedi here would have aided him with that, it seemed that this entity the force, just put a spin on things.

Kiran wasn't sure what direction he was running into. He had left Voss a time again, and then had returned after a small short trip, travelling to make some money as a hired gun. While his skill with that blade wasn't decent at all, his skill with the blaster pistol made up for it ten-fold. He glanced up towards a screen at the center, displaying recent news and such, drawn to that for a moment he stood off to the side, arms at his sides as he just watched.

Aware that there were some out there that still wanted him dead, it seemed capture was no longer an option here. Kiran had justified his actions over and over in his head. Sometimes people did the wrong things for the right reasons. Several months had gone by, and still no one was arrested for the deaths of his family, the family that took him in and sheltered him. He owed everything to them. So he took matters into his own hands, gathered every shred of evidence that he could, everything pointed towards 7 individuals, whether they did the deed, or they knew about it, in either of those ways...they were involved. The authorities knew about it, they were corrupt, month and months and...nothing.

And even those with the power to do something...did nothing to stop it. And to the young man, they were guilty. They weren't good men, however in some part of his mind and thought process he wondered if there was another way he could have gone about this. There wasn't any going back now, no one was going to save him.

A deep breath was taken in by the young man and released as he continued to stare at the screen, watching, waiting.

The Talravani had never been to Voss, but she had been to plenty of planets similar to it. Her background as law enforcement gave her a unique perspective on tracking someone down. She wasn't a bounty hunter, nor a Jedi; just a woman with a penchant for orange and justice.
She started with a cantina, the hive of villainy. Even the capital of the Sanctum wasn't free from crime. She asked around, seeing if anyone knew [member="Kiran Arlos"]. But, of course, everyone seemed to have a bit of amnesia as soon as the name came out of her mouth.
How shocking.

At the third cantina, she finally came across someone who had a vague idea of who her quarry was. The Rhodian informed her that the man didn't do much, just wandered, buying things and going through life. Strange. Signs of regret, of remorse? Perhaps.
She continued to follow his breadcrumbs, asking, showing pictures, checking security footage.
Finally, after several hours, she found him.

She watched him from a distance, her brown eyes obscured behind her goggles, her hands in the pockets of her bomber jacket. He seemed innocent enough. He just stood, out of the way, watching a large screen playing the news.
If she hadn't read his files, she would have never guessed the blood on his hands.
The woman continued to watch, considering her next move. She wasn't going to neutralize him for no reason. It had been quite awhile since he had hurt anyone, according to the reports, and she wanted to know what he planned to do about the hit on his head.

With a final sigh, Songbird moved.
She casually made her way through the crowd, her eyes never leaving Kiran, one hand kept vaguely near one of her stun blasters, just in case this turned ugly. She hoped it wouldn't, but she was always prepared.
She stopped next to him, watching the screen. She was silent for a few moments, just another bystander.
Finally, she turned to Kiran, gesturing her head to get his attention.
"Excuse me, love; got the time?"
She needed to see his reaction to a stranger.

Her voice and words came clear across to him. While the young man didn't freeze, or tense or anything he was just fully aware at the situation right now. A potential attacker, or maybe someone who just wanted a friendly word. Kiran smirked slightly as he turned to face her, and as he did his hand moved rather casually towards his blaster mid turn.

There was a girl standing before him and Kiran tilted his head slightly and looked her up and down, not essentially checking her out however pretty she was. Like her with him, he was gauging a reaction. The young man was very curious as to her interest in the time and from him, there was an ulterior motive that he could feel. When you were around as many people and attacked as much as he was. He was more alert than usual.

"Of course, love." Kiran nodded his head slightly and he glanced to either side of him with a slight quickness, already having an escape route planned out. "An hour past noon. There is a restaurant down that way. They make some good food." By that time, Kiran's hand had gripped his blaster lightly, just a flick and pop of his wrist was what was needed. He hoped it wouldn't come to that.
