A limited number of a unique throwing weapons, originally inspired by the ancient Salissian throwing whorls used by Gray Paladins, were crafted in the Dark Forge of the Temple of Pain by Sith Lord and master alchemist, Sage Bane, to bestow upon Sith warriors and military men who showed great skill in battle. The weapon’s name, The Atiduo, comes from the Sith language and translates into: “The Returning.” The Atiduo’s four-pointed blade is made of alchemized durasteel, soaked in the dark side and Sith chemicals, and fused with Sage Bane’s own blood to seal its protection against lightsabers.

Easily hidden and lightweight, the Atiduo’s main advantage is its versatility. It can be used for throwing, stabbing or slashing, or even stuck in the ground for a victim to step on. In addition, it can be coated with all manner of poisons or even the bacteria that causes a tetanus infection. Like most canon Sith-alchemized weapons, the Atiduo is resistant to lightsaber damage, normal wear-and-tear, and fire damage.

The weapon has its disadvantages as well. While the Atiduo’s blade is razor sharp, it is not able to pierce through armor; targets are primarily the more exposed parts of the body: the eyes, face, hands, or feet. Furthermore, the throwing whorl is not invulnerable to many attacks, and can be harmed by Force powers. Finally, the weapon is too small to parry a sword, deflect a lightsaber strike, or deflect blaster bolts.
