The Anobis Incident [Graxin Rade, Kelios Shara-da]

Anobis, somewhere in a forest.

It was a regular morning. A couple birds were twittering, a couple local predators were searching for prey and the prey was trying to live its everyday life. Though there was one unnatural thing. Some sort of insectoid creature that was lurking in the forest. It looked like it was waiting here for someone or something. The creature was heavily armed with a couple vibro-knives and blasterpistols as well as a large blaster rifle on its back. The thing didn’t wear any armor, just a simple coat and that was it. It’s yellow-ish brown carapace wasn’t very easily recognized between the yellow and brown leaves that fall during autumn. It didn’t look like it was hiding though, it was just leaned against a tree, waiting for something or someone. After a while, the creature decided to stand up and go for a walk, leaving behind a small datapad, most likely to leave a sign that whoever it was supposed to meet should wait there for the creature. And so it left, it went north towards the mountains, though not very far before it suddenly felt something rumbling underneath it. It was an earthquake, quite the strong one at that. The birds in the trees started flying off and the animals started running towards the edge of the forest. Most of the trees were rooted into the ground and wouldn’t fall over that easily, but there were some trees that weren’t rooted in that deeply, most likely because of a stone or something similar underneath it. The creature was at first surprised by this, but then it started to run back, into the direction it came from, until it arrived at the location it had left the datapad at. By now the earthquake had stopped and the datapad was gone. However there were footsteps leading away from the place, it seemed like the person the creature was supposed to meet had ran away with the datapad and had left the creature there alone. For a moment, the creature stopped paying attention to its surroundings to just be angry about the situation. This moment was enough for it not to notice that the tree next to it was about to fall over. The creature only ever noticed that when it was squashed by the large tree. It wasn’t able to dodge, it was too focused on the fact that whoever was supposed to meet the creature had backstabbed it and ran off with the datapad, which was apparently the reason why it was here.

About an hour later a couple mynocks were circling the area and every now and then one would plunge down towards the tree that had fallen over and squashed the bug creature and stay there for a while, before coming back up. This repeated for a long time and made the nearby settlers, who saw the mynocks plunge down and come back up, rather uneasy, since mynocks were quite famous for their power leaching nature and were usually fought off with a couple blasters, but the pack that had gathered was quite large, larger than anything seen before. So they decided to send in a team to investigate why there were so many mynocks after the earthquake and what was attracting them to this place. They had asked for volunteers in the village and there were a couple people who volunteered to investigate and see why there were so many mynocks all of a sudden.

There wasn't much to say as of late. Darth Vulcanus had disappeared, gone from the galactic plane for all Graxin knew. He had been imprisoned as punishment. Punishment for...association. It wasn't much of a crime, but the other Sith hadn't seemed to care. He had surmised that they saw him as a threat; a pawn grown to powerful to be reliable. After everything he had given the New Order, they had cast him out. Thrown him aside like the used trash that they had perceived him to be. That was their mistake. The Son of the former Emperor had learned. He had seen the galaxy for what it was, and now, there was absolutely nothing chaining him to the Sith. Nothing to hold him back.

This led him to Anobis. He hadn't contacted any of his former allies--he had no way of doing so. The N.O. had wiped his identity from the known galaxy. As far as they were concerned, officially, Graxin was never born. Anobis represented a place to escape. A land that he could hide in and meditate; try to learn his purpose and place in the galaxy. The Jedi wouldn't take him, and while the thought of revenge was the faintest trickle of honey, begging for him to take it all, perhaps it was not the correct path. He still didn't know, and doubted he would for quite some time.

Then it happened. In the aftermath of the earthquake, Graxin had stopped in a nearby village to meditate. Suddenly, the weight of millions of lives ending simultaneously hit him like a freight train right in the chest. A single name appeared in the darkness of his mind.

Drunkenwell.

The planet had been killed. Someone had murdered almost every denizen on that world. In the wake of this revelation, Graxin stumbled to his feet. He pushed the small wooden door open and let the warmth of the sun's light wash over him. He had been staying in a small one man hut thanks to the kindness of the villagers. They thought him to be a lost Jedi, and he didn't mind. He stayed around and healed those who were wounded with his gifts, and told stories of great warriors to the children. They seemed to have come to like him. One of the elders came to him at the doorway and explained the mynock situation. Graxin agreed without hesitation, pulled his gray cowl over his head, and followed off with the little mob of villagers.

What they would find...well, only time would tell.

Kelios had arrived upon Anobis by chance in all reality. The massive cat was alongside Graxin Rade when the Sith Inquisitors came barking down his door. Kelios was there during the small skirmish that entailed. In fact the massive feline was wounded in it and now bore a good sized scar going down from the side of his muzzle to his chest. Despite all that, despite everything that had happened, he still traversed the Galaxy and he still looked for his former companion, Graxin Rade.

Upon entrance to the village Kelios walked towards he too was slammed by the event that rippled through the Galaxy. His head pounded suddenly with unexplained pain and his chest constricted as if it had zip line wrapped around the entirety of it and pulled. He heard thousands of voices screaming into his ears and felt the fear ripple into him. It was to put it simply, the worst form of torment he had ever felt.

Kelios then wandered into the village and noted the massive crowd gathering, one would notice him eventually, after all a robed 13 foot feline was hard to miss.

As the villagers gathered, the mynocks only appeared to become more and more. They were now diving down and staying for longer periods of time. The villagers were getting more and more unsettled. They never had to deal with mynocks before, but they knew what threat they could potentially pose. This is why many men volunteered. On the large marketplace in the village they gathered, readying their equipment and checking for any new volunteers. "So we're gonna kill them flying electro-sucking beast things?" A rather large man with some kind of rifle said. He was wearing a checkered red buttoned up shirt, simple blue pants and a blue hat. "They're called Mynocks, Johnson, and kark yes. We're gonna get there and make 'em regret ever comin' here." A smaller man in khaki pants, a green-brown shirt in camouflage pattern and a red headband holding a rather large blaster rifle replied. "Then we better get going. Where's Mora?" A man in a green shirt, blue pants and sunglasses replied. This one only had a small blaster and a knife with him. "She'll be here soon enough. But what I have to ask is: why is everyone bringing such large weapons? We're just checking out what's attracting all the Mynocks here. I mean, just look at Williams there, that thing's huge!" said a man in a simple white shirt and blue pants. This man didn't have any weapons except for a rather small blaster used mostly for self defense. "You're just jealous because you don't have one that's this big." The man in camouflage replied with a chuckle. "Look, it's our latest addition to the group, what was your name again? Haven't seen you around until now." Another man said who had sat on a crate with a simple blaster next to him. He was addressing a stranger who had never been to the village before and had just volunteered to help for some reason.

While that was happening, a rather tall woman who looked like she was in some kind of military was walking towards the group of volunteers that had gathered. She wore a green camouflage vest, dark green pants. She had a couple red bullets strapped to the vest as well as a vibro-knife. A scattergun was strapped to her back and a blaster rifle in a holster strapped to her right leg. On her way to the group however she noticed a large figure walking towards them as well. She approached the large figure and patted him on the shoulder once. "You one of the boys who're comin' with me to find out what the kark's goin' on with the mynocks?" She asked the large figure. The woman appeared to be the leader of the group who would venture out to figure out what was going on out in the forest.

A rather familiar presence pushed and prodded at the back of Graxin's mind. He had grown to know it well, as an ally and a friend. That, and he could clearly see the massive Jedi Padawan for what he was amidst the crowd. The Knight quickly did his best to hide his force signature, though it wasn't exactly perfect. He was no master of stealth. His head canted back as he eyed the swarm of mynocks; black specs in and otherwise beautiful blue sky.

"Hmm? Me? I've been in the village for some time. My name is Rade." He mumbled calmly. His amber gaze shifted between each of the volunteers, and without a word, he began to march off toward the mynocks. He had a single idea as to how to deal with these things, and it had nothing to do with blasters. As long as [member="Kelios Shara-da"] didn't stop him, this issue would be resolved swiftly.
