Quietly the footsteps fell upon the ashes and dust that covered the floor of the ancient tomb. The cairn lying untouched for thousands of years, the last inhabitants of the world having been those that lay within. Their bodies long since turned to nothing more than remains, perhaps the very ash upon which the Dark Lady stood. Allowing herself a moment as she approached the large door, her eyes gazed over the ancient Xalish symbols that danced across the stone work. A smirk crossing her lips as her hands began to run along the symbols, slowly pressing against a small tile as her slender digits danced over it. Taking a step back, she watched as the door rumbled and groaned to life, slowly sliding away to expose the long length of the hall and the catacombs that now lay before them.
"Watch your step. Mind what you touch."
The Dark Lady said to those that had joined her for this occasion, to delve within the ancient burial tomb. It was one of many hundreds if not thousands that lay across the world. Much like those Sith tombs on Korriban, these would be no less dangerous or easy to find their way through. It was funny to the Dark Lady, musing to herself on the subject of burials and the preservation of the dead and those worldly belongings which they were laid to rest with. They had no need for such things, the bodies dead, their life and spirits departed. As always it seemed to be more of a misunderstanding in that it was for those that buried the dead. Shaking off the thoughts she stepped forward, the boots she wore pushing the dust and ash away as the whispers slowly begun to rise within her mind.
"An old tomb. Death within and those that lay hold power."
Stepping forward again, her eyes cut through the darkness as she brought her hand up. Letting it rest near an old torch that had long since gone out, a quick snap of her fingers brought the flame back to life. In a single fluid motion she took it from its resting place as she moved towards an ancient brazer, pressing the flames into the oil as the room became flooded with light.
