  • Inability to detach from (fused to) the AT-TE
  • Bow guns' slow rate of fire (manual loading)

Description:

After 2 years of restoration, Saab f’Czeht’sk finally got the ‘Alloy’ up and running. She is a LAAT/c from the Clone War that had met a terrible fate. While flying low over Saleucami’s surface, she was hit by Separatist forces and downed; the resulting hit fused the AT-TE to the hull of the Larty, and being bogged down by mud, she was abandoned.
Over 800 years later the ‘Alloy’ was found and restored out of necessity by Saab f’Czeht’sk, who required the vessel to return to civilization. Almost like new, her bow guns (being severely damaged in the crash) were converted and replaced by what were essentially huge Verpine shatter guns (magnetic railguns). The AT-TE’s guns were undamaged and functioned well. Seeing as the entire thing was structurally intact, and the AT-TE was permanently fused to the hull, Saab add superstructure and connected the AT-TE’s cockpit to the hull of the ‘Alloy’. Further reinforced with additional armour plating, the ship also received new engines with parts ‘donated’ from some TIEs, as well as a salvaged deflector shield fitted in the hull of the AT-TE.

Upon returning to civilization and the city of Taleucema, Saab continued work on the ship. Sometimes through buying parts outright, and most other times through trade of service, Saab added many more modifications. The Alloy was soon to be space-ready, with proper sublight engines and an acutal (albeit low quality) hyperdrive; with all the modifications in place, Saab knew it was time to search the stars...

The bow cannons were odd pieces of engineering…but in no doubt lethal. They were able to be shot at high velocity, though the projectiles are extremely short ranged as they lose their momentum quickly due to their weight. With a max capacity of 30 projectiles in the loader’s bay, they were used sparingly. The AT-TE’s laser cannons, if abused, drew a substantial amount of power from the ship and could have adverse effects on her manoeuvrability (and her ability to stay up in the air in general).

If the ship was emptied, she’d be able to fit 20 passengers in the hull of the AT-TE plus 2 crewmen in the gunning section of the bow. Cargo space (if full passengers) was limited to 1 metric ton; if no passangers were aboard the capacity would be increased to 4 metric tons, not including space for regular consumables (foodstuffs, etc). The ship needs 5 crew to run at 100% efficiency: the pilot, bow gunner/loader, bow loader, AT-TE bow gunner, and the AT-TE stern gunner. Due to the conversion of the guns in the bow of the ship, they have to be manually loaded.

Please go through your submission and make sure you are not missing any fields from the template. If a field does not apply, please put N/A beside it rather than removing it. You are currently missing the squadron count field, it would be a good idea to check for others while you add it in.
