STRENGTHS

• (+) Heavy Particle Blaster: fires a heavy particle beam that is explosive, detonating in a low-yield burst on impact. This yellow explosive bolt is capable of putting a 1/2 meter hole in ferrocrete and most personal armors, and is even capable of damaging light vehicles. As a particle bolt, this beam cannot be reflected by lightsabers.
• (+) Accurate: the TC-15 is quite accurate - at five hundred meters it is able to hit a target with pinpoint accuracy on semiautomatic, while saturating a meter radius on automatic at the same distance.
• (+) Rugged: the TC-15 can be handled much more roughly than the standard blaster, and keep firing as designed across a variety of environments.

WEAKNESSES

• (-) Recoil: the TC-15 suffers from recoil that makes rapid rates of fire impossible. The TC-15 is limited to roughly 300 rpm (5/s) for automatic fire. For real life comparison, most modern assault rifles fire at 600 rpm on the low end.
• (-) Weight: the TC-15 is heavy and poorly balanced, and tends to be front heavy due to the thick galven coils in the barrel of the weapon.

DESCRIPTION
The Tetron Centrex TC-15 Particle Blaster Rifle is designed by Tetron for use on battlefields and in corporate war zones. Utilizing a heavy particle beam, the TC-15 fires yellow bolts of unstable explosive plasma, which burst in a low-yield burst on contact. Tooled to the standards of the much earlier DC-15 (to which the TC-15 bears more than a passing resemblance), the TC-15 is capable of putting a 1/2 meter hole in ferrocrete and most personal armors, and is even capable of damaging light vehicles.

The TC-15 is not without its drawbacks, however, and is heavy and poorly balanced - tending to be front heavy due to the thick galven coils and circuits in the weapon. Additionally, the galven coils create significant recoil in creating the particle beam; while an auto-steady gyrogimbal and recoil damping stock helps mitigate this somewhat, the rifle is capped at a rate of around 300 bolts per minute.

Like its predecessor the TC-11, the TC-15 boasts is built to last, and is constructed with magnabolted rivets, inert-power-insulated wires, matter composite shock dampers, gel injected airseals, and is dipped in preservative coatings. The TC-15 can be bashed against a rock, dropped in mud, then rolled in sand and still fire as designed.
