SPECIAL FEATURES
STRENGTHS
  • (+) Fuel Feed Selection: the 33c Fusion Turbine can operate off cheap liquid hydrogen, or more expensive deuterium, as both are hydrogen based. This allows colonists the ability to be flexible in their fuel choice as they grow.
  • (+) Sequential: the 33c Fusion Turbine can be linked into sequential arrays of up to three units, allowing for greater power generation as a colony grows, without the need to buy a new larger unit.
  • (+) Accessible: the 33c Fusion Turbine is sturdy, easy to repair and maintain, and has universal energy jack connectors that make installation a breeze. Combined with a low price point, this makes it an attractive option for burgeoning colonies.
  • (+) Power on Demand: the 33b Fusion Turbine resolves the the principle drawbacks of the 22b and 11a by integrating an energy cycler and ion recirculator; the reactor can be started and stopped in as little as five minutes.
WEAKNESSES
  • (-) Variable Efficiency: depending on the fuel used, different outputs and efficiency is created. Liquid Hydrogen yields roughly 50% efficiency, while Deuterium yields about 70% efficiency.
  • (-) Sequence Locked: despite being able to be staged in arrays, the 11a uses specialized energy couplers that will only accept other Tetron generators - this locks the colony into buying more Tetron products.
  • (-) Overload Potential: the 33b utilizes multiple plasma rotors, and an robust ion injection manifold that is much more powerful than previous models - if the reactor is breached, a violent explosion is guaranteed, along with an ion blast that could negatively impact infrastructure.

DESCRIPTION
The Tetron Centrex Colony-Class 33c Fusion Turbine is an Ion-Plasma powered fusion turbine generator. An Ion-Plasma reaction supplies constant ion flow through Plasma Transvertors to an Ion Injection Manifold; once enough requisite charge is stored, the manifold supplies energy to one primary and two secondary plasma rotors that generates power. With its sequential design, the generator is sufficient to power 5,000 households with a single generator, 15,000 with two, and 50,00,000 with three generators in a staged array.

The 33c Fusion Turbine represents the culmination of Tetron Centrex's Colony-Class line. Whereas the earlier 11a and 22b were primarily colonial stopgaps—affordable and pragmatic generators meant to fuel frontier settlements—the 33c is a transitional design for colonies transferring from scattered settlements to a dedicated city-grade reactor. By integrating multiple plasma transvertors that feed into a high-output Ion Injection Manifold, the 33c multiplies its output dramatically, driving three plasma rotors simultaneously for exponential power generation. This technological leap allows Tetron to pitch the 33c as the answer to both burgeoning metropolises and militarized garrisons, with its modular arrays able to power anything from a city shield grid to a sprawling manufacturing base. Colonists specifically celebrated its five-minute startup cycle, a direct rebuke to the sluggish 11a and cautious 22b, finally delivering on the promise of "power on demand" in an unforgiving galaxy.

Yet the 33c's design carries both strategic genius and ruthless corporate calculation. Its variable efficiency ensures wealthier clients—those who can afford steady deuterium shipments—reap vastly superior returns, while poorer colonies scrape by at reduced capacity. Its sequence-locked couplers further entrench settlements into Tetron's ecosystem, making independence from the corporation nearly impossible without a complete infrastructure overhaul. Perhaps most dangerously, the manifold and tri-rotor system, while brilliant for output, makes the 33c notoriously unstable if compromised: a breach can cause a catastrophic plasma detonation, with enough ion energy released to cripple an entire district's electronics or vaporize a military encampment. Tetron has brushed aside such concerns, insisting that Tetron is "building futures," but underneath the propaganda lies a single fact —every innovation Tetron rolls out walks the line between prosperity and exploitation.
