STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:

+) Bold & Active: Terras is the type of man who can never sit still without offering his own advice and opinion regarding even the matters that should not be of his business. He is often critiscized for this characteristic, and yet his boldness has allowed him to succeed in the business world with his willingness to take risks allowing him to place forth risky investments that pay off handsomely.

+) Educated & Intelligent: Although some of the traits he exhibit may make the Twi'lek seem far from worthy of the title 'intelligent', Terras has nevertheless dedicated a substantial portion of his life to academics, learning business and politics under his father's guidance. Furthermore, Terras can be quite keen and clever at times, although usually due to certain incentives or rewards.

+/- ) Narcissistic: He has an inflated ego that has both propelled him to certain prominence, while also limiting his capacity to garner much respect from others. This particular trait of narcissism can be partly traced to the constant company of female 'admirers' or companions that Terras is known to surround himself with.

-) Sluggish: The corpulence that is characteristic of Terras comes with a great physical toll, even if the obesity that is clearly visible in Terras is considered a symbol of wealth and power in Twi'lek society. One sign of his physical decadene is demonstrated by the fact that nearly all of the time, Terras can be often seen leaning partly on his female escorts for support while walking.

-) Socially Impaired: Although by no means is he unable to communicate effectively, Terras is nevertheless a socially awkward being. He's interaction with others primarily revolve around the occasional contact with other nobilities, or otherwise mingling with his female consorts.

BIOGRAPHY:

Few truly know the origins of Terras, for he has meddled greatly in the affairs of his personal history and revised it for the sake of his public relations. Some say he began as a son of some wealthy aristocratic family, while others even go onto speculate that Terras made a fortune in his early years as a pimp or an owner of a chain of clubs and restaurants. The truth, however, is that the Terras was born into a rather poor family, far away from his home planet Ryloth. Terras's father was a middle-class merchant who sought to make a living in Nar Shaddaa, and was responsible for his upbringing. His mother had died at childbirth, hence Terras only could look up to his father for education. Indeed, his father invested great sums of money into educating Terras, whom soon graduated at the top of his class in a respected academy at Nar Shaddaa. Terras, however, always dreamt of returning to his home planet Ryloth where he would revitalize what he thought was a decaying Twi'lek civilization.

At one point in his early adult years, Terras had become hired to work as a manager at one of the leading pharmaceutical companies in the Galaxy. There, he both accumulated significant stipends, and gained valuable connections to those who could supply him later in life with valuable spices and narcotics. When his father died unexpectedly, Terras at the age of 26 made the decision to abandon his lucrative career in business management at the pharmaceutical company, and went onto pursue his lifelong dream of returning to Ryloth and starting his own business there.

On Ryloth, Terras quickly took advantage of the slavery that was very much existent at the time of his arrival and purchased about a dozen Twi'lek slave girls. Partnering up with certain shady individuals, Terras began operating a string of night clubs and prostitution rings that soon proved quite profitable. Using his profits, Terras redoubled his investment on purchasing more Twi'lek girls to finance his business, all the while eyeing possible entrances into Ryloth politics. With around 300 slave girls and a reliable base for wealth, Terras began to bribe his way into Ryloth politics. At one point, Terras managed to place himself at the helm of a major clan on Ryloth by having one of his girls marry the heir to the clan leadership, before killing the heir and seizing the clan leadership for himself by claiming himself the father of the late heir's spouse who could rule 'temporarily' based on precedence in customs.

Recently, however, the Techno Union entered Ryloth and began to enforce its anti-slavery laws in a process of industrializing the planet. At the point in which he could instantaneously lose all of his precious stock of slaves, Terras has begun to work with his key partners in an attempt to quickly adjust to the changing economic landscape, while also bolstering his prominence planet-wise so that he could place himself in a more advantageous position for leading Ryloth politics.

EDIT - With the collapse of the Techno Union, Terras views Ryloth as a fruit that is now ripe for picking.
