Skyria saw a blinking light on the control panel of the submersible that she was at the head of the Imperial/Pakuuni invasion force. The comm officer that she was given to coordinate with General Tane turned to her and gave a nod. A wide grin formed on the young officer’s lips. ”It’s time. The Quarren have begun their advance. The Mon Cals will be distracted by their ancient foe.”

The statement was met with silence within the sub. The clones hadn’t been equipped with the same ambition that Sky had. They were there to follow orders and do a job. Sky found that a bit boring, but they were useful, dependable assets. Skyria stepped forward to the comms officer and opened a channel to her troops and the mercenaries. ”The assault has begun. The Quarren are on their own. Our objective is to take the Council Building at the center of the city. Most of the defenders will move to engage the Quarren. The Council guards are to be left with steaming holes in their chests. Take no quarter of any Ruisto military assets. The Council and collateral civilian lives should be spared if possible. But don’t endanger the mission to keep them alive.”

Skyria clicked the comm over to a channel for only her troops. The mercs can handle their own commands. ”All subs move forward. Follow the plan. Once you have a visual on the Council Building, dive in and take action. I want to inform General Tane that we have control of the Council within the hour.”

A look of satisfaction formed on Teckla’s face as she sensed the feeling of inevitably coming from Councilor Kyrtan. Her home planet was as good as hers. Unless something went terribly wrong down on the planet. Teckla had been sure to have contingencies against that happening. She didn’t trust the Quarren to deliver Ruisto on their own. The battle in space was going well. So well in fact that the defending Mon Cals decided to focus on protecting the citizens’ retreat rather than push the issue with the Imperial forces. Lord Maldor Mecetti Maldor Mecetti wasn’t willing to let anything leave the system easily. That widened the grin on Teckla’s face.

Pressing a button on her wrist she silently notified her aid on the surface to begin the Imperial assault in earnest. The Quarren were a good distraction, but Teckla would be much more satisfied if the mercs she had hired or her own troops were the first to gain control of the planet’s government. She would let the Quarren assume control soon enough, under her steady thumb. ”Take the capital by whatever means you deem necessary Governor,” Teckla responded to the Quarren she had placed in control of Dac after freeing him from a Mon Cal prison. ”We want the government, the rest of the population will fall in line or leave. What they choose matters little.”

As she finished giving Governor Tez his people’s marching orders the room was informed of the arrival of Governor Coypin of Centares. Teckla’s good mood sank just a bit. ”While we are appreciative of the Governor’s aid, and he is welcome in this meeting. He should be reminded to know his place. Pakuuni and the Calamari sector are far from his home. It would be unwise to over extend himself.” She knew the man had far more dangerous assets than what he brought to this fight. If he had attacked with his full fleet the battle would have been a massacre. If he thought he would arrive at this meeting and flex some might he was sorely mistaken. This was Teckla’s time and she wouldn’t fear squashing the Coypin legacy if needed.

As battles within the system leaned towards a victorious end, Teckla was able to focus more on the room she stood. It was the first time that she noticed the Force presence of one of the attendees. Teckla’s glare turned to the Lasat mercenary in the corner General Tane gave a silent hum to herself. As the action played out she may try to get to know more of the intentions of this individual and who she was there representing.

OBJECTIVE 3 - PAAKUNI COUNCIL MEETING

CURRENT QUEST - GUARD DUTY
Immediate Goals -
1: Stand there
1.2: Look Pretty
1.3: Stand there and Look Pretty
2: Swallow your guilt, bite down on your hate.

FRIEND(s) - Empire of the Lost

FOE(s) - N/A

TARGETING ACTION(S) - Teckla Tane Teckla Tane || Jovdev Coypin Jovdev Coypin

She didn't want to be here.

Rationally, Kebii understood why she was here - the Lilaste Order, being nominally aligned with the Empire of the Lost, had compelled her to make friends with the up and coming Imperials, to at least show the Order's support for the regime even if they weren't under the direct purview like the Inquisition. Yet she never imagined that guard duty would be a guilt trip.

Already she could hear vendettas, vindication, the deep rooted contempt that could only occur through years of wrongs or perceived wrongs - and the Lasat was powerless to intervene, helpless to stop.

Worse still was when there was a brief eye-contact made between Teckla Tane Teckla Tane and herself. If she had a credit for every Force-Sensitive "iron lady" type that had a military commission, she'd have two credits so far - which wasn't a lot, but still. This, naturally drew her mind to compare the red-haired and soon to be gazetted Moff of the Calamari Sector and the High Admiral of the Lilaste Order, Ali Kare Ali Kare ; There was some comparison to be made between the two, and on a surface level gaze, the two women would only be differentiated by hair-color. Those with sight into the Force would note marked differences - General Tane was passionate, energetic, and with a fire that would not easily abate, and that was fueled nigh-perpetually by its own defiance. Admiral Kare, on the other hand, was cold, calculated, and you'd sooner squeeze blood from a stone than get a rise out of her.

Were those to be her fate, should she remain within the Empire? Would she too bleed her heart dry, or burn it up to keep her ideals?

Already she was failing the latter, for she looked away first - justifying it as mere professionalism. She had hoped that Beviin, Tyme and Geena were faring better.

OBJECTIVE 4 - DO YOUR OWN THING

CURRENT QUEST - Strange happenings...
Immediate Goals -
1: Grrrowugh?
2: Snoof Snoof Snoof
3: Mmmrrraaaaarrrrgh

FRIEND(s) - Kebii'kara Solus Kebii'kara Solus Metal-Box-Doctor

FOE(s) - Fancy Lady who smells dark

TARGETING ACTION(S) - Alicia Drey Alicia Drey

She didn't like the metal-box-medic, not personally. But when the rifles were lowered at the poor photoreceptors, Beviin leapt between him and those who would do him harm, both to protect her Big Sis Kebii's companions, and to show these schmucks who was the true danger was. She was Beviin the Blood-Stained Lance! She was fire and death! Her meter-long body and wingspan struck fear into the hearts of rodent analogues everywhere! None could command her, none would subdue her, none would ignore her-!

"Pardon us, Madam." The metal-box doctor acquiesced, ignoring her, after she just got done explicitly saying not to! Have these droids no shame?! "Beg for pardon" indeed! "I am designated V-4T1M3, a utility droid, and I am currently trying to escort my Master's exotic pet back to the ship."

The fire that had been building up within her throat belched forth in a retaliatory snark accentuated with merely a foretaste of her pyroclastic fury - how dare he?! As soon as the burst of fire gathered the droid-doctor's attention fully, she launched into a tirade of eloquent chittering, her logic sound, her rhetoric impeccable, her intuition unwavering - this lady is an anomaly, first by her mere presence, but she knew that there lay within this well dressed and admittedly nice smelling lady was a crumb of the Force. Not merely the untapped well, but something secret, hidden, like the trinkets she would hoard atop her resting place, could this fool not see?!

"Yes Bevii, we can go back to the beach if you want..." With a pained and half defeated groan, the drakeling rolled head and eyes along with, confounding and cursing the utility droid for not bothering to learn the natural tongue of dragons. She could forgive not being Force sensitive, but substituting a clear soliloquy to some self-serving interpretation was rude!

Nevertheless, Beviin would not budge, she reset herself, sitting proud, her eyes like rosy pools of defiance up at the femme fatale, her nostrils already glowing with a second bout of flame.

Alicia was a small woman in size and height. She was used to being dwarfed by other, much taller beings. But this was a first. The animal before her was sentient, that was for sure. She had heard of similar creatures like this in the Outer Rim Territories to Wild Space. The Bryn'adul- who definitely more gastly, and monstrous then in comparison to this Drakeling- came to mind (regardless of the obvious differences) because they stood were animal like in appearance, but possessed the sentience which rivalled beings such as herself, and the Force was strong in this once.

It became clear that the creature had been attracted to her powers in the dark side, but the question was whether or not they are a native to Ruisto? As the question lingered in her mind Alicia found her gaze turning to one of the Stormtroopers who still had their rifle raised. They were clearly terrified of the beast before them, and she sensed the same trepidation in the others in the unit that had been assigned to her.

"I said lower your weapons," Alicia repeated curtly to the unit. One by one she watched as they lowered their weapons, and when they had Alicia averted her gaze from the Stormtroopers back to the Drakeling. "You have a Master? An owner? Tell me, are you and they native to this planet? Or did you immigrate here? Tell me what you are doing here?"
