Technomancy and Tea [PM for Invite]

Ord Mantell

Not her favourite place. Well. To be fair not a place she'd really considered period, but she needed some sleuthing done, and she needed an outside, objective source motivated by nothing but money to do it. The planet itself wasn't even that bad. It was the fact that it was surrounded by three unfriendly factions and generally overrun by bounty hunters that was getting to her.

The whole seventy million credit bounty thing was starting to cramp her style.

Oh, and the Sith assassin guild having her as target number one. That was fun too.

Still, business never stopped, and she needed something confirmed. A message tracked down. Cryax likely could have done it in a heartbeat, but Cryax was gone. Jarven was busy working on the network, which was just as if not more important. So here she was on high alert in a tea shop on the basis of assassins and the like would probably stand out more here waiting for her contact to show up.

Every minute he was late made her more on edge, not that the casual observer would know. Sure she had her Shot Caller armour on and shotgun at her side, but this was a fairly wild world, and her body language was relaxed. Lie and bluff, even without words. Especially without words.

The slight shuffling noise raking the ground ended in heavy footfalls, followed by the mechanical hiss of a toiling machine, pounding away as it heaved the weight forth and kept it moving. The footfalls ended abruptly as the thing swung it's form around, carefully scanning the horizon for what it may percieve as either an objective, an advantage, or a threat. There, out in front of it hung the structure broadcasting a name which was to be the meeting place for a pair of individuals.

Technovore gave a quiet sigh before he began his approach of the building, there was no need prolonging the inevitable meeting of this individual, nor was there a true reason to be afraid. After all, he hadn't done anything to anyone and he was perfectly capable of hiding away from possible foes or tricking them with other machinery.

He stepped inside, his robotic arm brushing against a door lock in an accidental fashion. He watched and controlled as tendrils of code wrapped around the door lock, tearing apart it's mechanisms and replacing them to be subservient. It was handy...just in case he needed to remotely close a door.

He scanned the area for the contact.

Chiasa was slightly taken aback when a Super Tactical Droid strolled into the Tea Shop, for a moment her fingers twitched subtly, wanting to drop to the shotgun at her waist. Instead she took another sip of her tea, watching it closely. Coincidences, in her experience, usually weren't. They were all either purposefully or created by the Force. And one thing neither the Jedi or the Sith told you was that the Force could be a real bastard. It really seemed to like gallows humour some days. Self-centered or not, the droid was likely related to her in some way.

It didn't move quite like a droid however. Droids went from point A to point B and that was that. This one seemed to hesitate, to scan, to think and pause. Which meant what? Perhaps that it was being controlled remotely. Who would remotely control a droid? Either a coward who didn't want to attack on their own or. Or someone technologically minded.

Like her contact. Wait then. Wait and trust that if this dangerous she was quick enough to get out, skin intact. Still, yellow eyes watched [member="Technovore"] warily. She didn't know much about her contact. She on the other hand was easily identifiable. She'd not bothered to hide her ID when seeking him (her? it?) out, and there were very few orange striped twi'leks out there.
