Description: This lightsabre was specially designed by Dr. Taygeta Lightkeeper, Jedi of the Silver Sanctum Coalition. Its cyan blade makes it stand out a little, but is little more than a (currently) standard beam of superheated plasma common to all lightsabres. The hilt's inner components are specially sealed to make it watertight, preventing water immersion from shorting out the hilt, as Taygeta enjoys swimming. Further, the hilt possesses a unique security system, the mechanism of which isn't surprising considering Dr. Lightkeeper's credentials as a professional geneticist. The hilt contains a minaturised DNA sniffer that can be programmed to recognise selected people as authorised wielders. Connected to the sniffer itself are capacitor banks directly connected to sensor electrodes in the grip. These facilitate DNA sniffing as well as discharge a punishing, but generally non-lethal 500,000 volts into an unauthorised handler. The hilt is gently curved to facilitate fluid single handed offensive dueling in the Form II style while not necessarily hindering defensive use, al la Form III. An elegant and inventive weapon...
