Description: The Taurek project is designed to fill holes in the Republic Defense Force's line of battle, utilizing both new and old technology. It has been a significantly long time since a galactic superpower relied on atmospheric fighter craft, but it cannot be doubted that having a dedicated aerial superiority and ground support vehicle would only enhance the effectiveness of Republic ground forces.

The AS/GS Fighter is designed to take on anything within an atmosphere, utilizing not only its aerodynamic design and modern aeronomics, but also utilizing pilots specializing in such battles and an integrated command and control network. The ground support role is significantly effective, and was truly where the project started. The typical space superiority fighter of modern navies has far too much to do with fleet support operations in most theaters of combat to be able to get more than a flight or two of fighters to support ground operations. Such ground support has historically provided a significant force multiplier and has allowed for severely outnumbered ground troops to seize the day through integrated communication.

[member="Samuel Quentin"], it looks pretty good to me.

I am curious though, why is it minor production?

Just a heads up though, when I used wing hardpoints on one of my designs, a judge wanted me to specify more of what it could hold. You might have to do the same, and if they want a canon example, I'd reference the K-wing. If they're still not okay with it, Lucerne Labs makes a general purpose warhead launcher, which will give you similar versatility. But I think hardpoints are really better for an atmospheric craft if you can get them.

I figured Minor Production because it isn't something meant to be extremely wide spread...though I guess the design is likely easy enough for Mass to work. I'll try mass first and go from there.
