BIOGRAPHY:
I. Early Years
Taunwe Trebor was born on 63 BBY of the planet Mandalore to a wealthy scholar family. They owned a nice, luxurious home in the capital city of Sundari and the family had a good reputation stuck to them due to the many deeds and favors they would do for the government. When Taunwe was born his mother, Nema, had to quit from her occupation to take care of her baby while Taunwe’s father, Travik, was always busy trying to work and make money for the family. When Taunwe reached 6 months into his life, his family was visited by a Jedi who asked to take the infant to the Jedi Temple to be trained in the light side and to serve the galaxy as a great warrior. He parents were hesitant at first because they did not want to leave their only child, but alas they knew what had to be done and reluctantly gave Taunwe to the Jedi Master. From then on, Taunwe Trebor would be trained as an initiate and padawan in the Jedi temple.
II. The Leaving
Taunwe was a very exceptional student in the Jedi order. He was both intelligent in solving situations well and in combat, with often besting his pupils in training. His master noticed his excellence throughout his training and enlisted him on a mission that would require both fields of work to complete. The mission was a relief effort of a sentient species after pirates have ravaged their village. Apparently the pirates were still lurking on the planet so the mission required the extermination of them and to bring back peace. Taunwe did not believe in violence out of what something required of him, as he relied on facts and truth to carry out certain measures. But this was no big mission, as he and his master were the only ones to be present to solve the situation. The mission was a success with Taunwe keeping each side at bay with no casualties, with the two even striking an agreement of trade and other goods. The council was impressed with Taunwe’s efforts and gave him more missions to prove him worthy of a knight. Some mission were easy with having not overwhelming obstacles, while others proving difficult. Both Taunwe and his master has both completed these without failure. But one test in particular would change how Taunwe would view the Jedi’s efforts and the ever persistent pursuit of peace and justice. This was Taunwe’s final test to becoming a knight, and the council made sure this would be something that his master would not assist him with. This was going to be something that would test Taunwe’s mind, to see if he is true to the order. He would require to go into a meditation stance and channel the force into relics that will give the Padawan very surreal visions. Such visions will test him in the ways of the force. He got into his meditative stance, and channeled the force deeply within himself to the relics the council presented. A flash of light was shown in his mind, and he was in his first vision. The vision was him and a battalion of soldiers battling with people with red sabers. The Sith. It was a bloody mess. They were in a forest, with both sides engaging on each other. He saw Jedi and Sith dueling and slaughtering each other. The soldiers on both sides were flurrying fire everywhere. It was utter chaos. Taunwe decided to fight along with the Jedi as the Sith were the sole enemy of peace and order. Taunwe engaged in a fight with a Sith much taller than him. The phantom of darkness had a mask that resembled a beast. Its dark red lightsaber clashed against Taunwe’s bright blue. It sent sparks everywhere! The Sith turned away and charged at the Padawan. Now they were fighting. It consisted of sweat, concentration, and the remembrance of training. The Sith was laughing during the whole thing. It sounded so familiar… Taunwe’s master! The Padawan sliced the arm of the Sith. The evil doer knelt down on the dirt and looked up at the young man. Taunwe noticed that every sith in the battle was all kneeling, looking up to their adversary. All the Jedi swung their lightsabers and killed the sith below them. The soldiers on the sith side were instantly dead and they dropped to the floor, leaving everything quiet. Taunwe’s lightsaber was the only one ignited. The Sith sounded like his master, could it be? He took off the man’s mask and it possessed the face of the Padawan’s mentor. All of the Jedi went up to Taunwe and they all whispered in their ears the same two words but all in different tones.
“Do it!”
“Do it!”
“Do it!”
“Do it!”
But he couldn’t. He was angry. It was his master! The man who had taught him everything of being a Jedi! No, this was of the order. They are twisting his mind! He went out of meditation and accused the council of tricking him into killing a Jedi. The council told him it was the final test to prove that if a Jedi would to turn to the dark side, then Taunwe would keep loyal to the order and exterminate the evil doer. They also concluded that the Padawan would need more training to become a knight, but Taunwe wanted nothing more with the Jedi. He said that this is all a meaningless war and that the Sith will rule, take over, and then the Jedi will come and take over. It will never end. He ran out of the council chamber and fled the temple. His master caught up with him as he saw his student run towards the entrance. They both were in a debate. His master wanted him to stay and complete his training, while Taunwe wanted to leave this mess and pursue knowledge on his own. His master respected this, as he wanted to do the same thing long ago. His master said we will not stop him. They both hugged and the boy said he will return on his new found knowledge someday. But wait, he needed a ship to travel. He was not going to stay on Coruscant, as he needed to find knowledge on his own about the force. He told his master what he needed to do and his master said he would not help him and will not stop him either. With that response, Taunwe snuck into the Jedi hangar and found a star fighter. He told a crew member to open the doors and that he was on an emergency mission. The crew member obliged and did what he said, when Jedi Temple guardians came through the doors and demanded that the doors be closed and that Taunwe was to be handed over the to Jedi council. But they were not fast enough and Taunwe made it through the doors and out in no time at all. Now he was wanted by the Jedi, listed as a traitor. Great. Now all that was left is to find a place for him to learn about the force in a sensible way instead of being told to ONLY go to the light or getting tricked into ONLY going to the dark side. He wanted a way to maybe use both sides to bring order to the galaxy, without slaughtering innocents or turning a blind eye. Now he was in orbit, planning on what to do next….
III. Kelimn
Taunwe has spent months going from planet to planet, finding food and trying to survive. He has been through many systems, finding lots of culture and people. The year was now 43 BBY and the young Taunwe was still trying to find his knowledge of the force. He was in a cantina on Corellia getting some food to satisfy his everlasting hunger. He was in a table alone when he heard a female voice whisper to him.
“ Taunweeee… The Kelimn system…. Come forth for your thirst of the force….”
Who was this person talking to him? He thought if she connected to him from a vast distance, then that women must be force sensitive. He got up from the table, set his bill down, and got to his ship. The Kelimn system? He has never heard such a name before. He got into his cockpit and went onto his navigation computer. He looked up the Kelimn system. It wasn’t on any record so Taunwe had no lead. Instead he channeled the force to try to speak to the woman again. He heard her.
“ The Unknown Regions… Let me guide you … ”
Taunwe’s ship ignited itself and went into the air without him navigating any of the controls. He was absolutely astonished! It took him out of orbit and into space. He was now trying to ask the women questions.
“ Who are you? What reason do you have to take me to this place you speak of? ”
“ Kelimn… Your pursuit of true knowledge… ” The woman whispered.
“ I see. How can I know I can trust you? ”
“ Jedi… I was once one… ”
The star fighter was automatically calculating hyperspace coordinates. It lead to the unknown regions of the galaxy. Wherever this planet was, it was certainly not discovered by any known organization. The star fighter went into hyperspace. Taunwe decided to ask more questions to this voice.
“ You were once a Jedi? How did you come to this planet? ”
“ The Kunri… Spirits who know of the force… ”
“ Spirits? They know of the force? ”
There was no response. Taunwe tried to ask something else but the woman still did not answer. After some time, the star fighter came out of hyperspace and a planet came into view. This planet was very musty. Everywhere there were clouds and thunderstorms. It really did not look like a peaceful place. Was this woman tricking him? Was she an agent of evil? Taunwe still remained still in the cockpit because he wants to at least get a glimpse of this place. After so long, he has found somewhere he can pursue true knowledge of the force. As the star fighter came into the planet, it was going through major turbulence. Taunwe could not even see anything in front of him.
“ What is happening?! Where are you taking me! ” He shouted. The turbulence was too much.
“ Kunri… They await you Jedi… ” The woman replied, though her tone changed. It sounded more human the more close the star fighter was getting to the surface.
CRASH!
The star fighter stormed head first into the surface of the planet and Taunwe was knocked unconscious.
IV. The Kunri
Taunwe woke up in grass. The sun was shining and the sky was a clear blue. He saw a woman look over him. She had a warm presence about her. She had long, brownish red hair with freckles on both cheeks. She smiled at Taunwe and put out her hand. He took it.
“ What happened to me? Who are you? ” Taunwe asked.
“ You are in Kelimn. I am Jora. I was the one who guided your ship to this place. ” The woman still smiled.
“ You were that whisper? How did you do that? Why did you do that most importantly! And where’s my ship? ”
“ I know you have a lot of questions right now and I will try my best to answer them to the best of my ability. But right now you must talk to Hergoph. He will answer to all you seek. Here, take my hand. ”
“ How do I know I can trust you? ”
“ Did I guide your ship into a sun? ”
“ Fair enough. ”
Taunwe took Jora’s hand and they both took flight. Taunwe was startled at how high they went in such a short time! He let out a scream and look over to Jora, who looked completely calm. They were going over meadow after meadow and the occasional mountains.
“ How is this place so peaceful at the surface but so chaotic from the view in space? ” Taunwe yelled.
“ Because you are imagining it! All of it! ” Jora yelled back to contest the wind.
He was imagining all of it? How is that? Taunwe was starting to go into deep thought when they reached a mountain top with tents strewn about. Taunwe saw Men and Woman looking up to them. They all wore primitive clothing. Taunwe also saw what looked to be guards. They carried light sabers and wore metal armor. What was this place? That’s all the padawan could ask himself. Then Jora landed down carefully with Taunwe at her side. Jora waved her hand, beckoning the boy to follow. They both went into a tent that housed a man meditating. The ex-Jedi could feel his energy. He felt both light and darkness.
“ Master Hergoph. This is him. Taunwe Trebor. ” Jora spoke.
“ Bring him close. ” The man spoke in a deep voice. He still had his eyes closed.
Jora took Taunwe’s hand and brought him closer to Hergoph. The man opened his eyes and gave a smile to Taunwe.
“ Taunwe Trebor! I have felt your presence through the galaxy. You are one we consider worthy of our sacred home. I felt both the light and dark in you, but you keep them at bay. Tell me, why have you left the order? ”
“ Alright, how do you know my name? Where am I?! One thing I am in my star fighter and the next I am laying in grass greeted by her! ” He pointed at Jora. “ What is happening! ”
“ Yes, I think it would be fair that I give you insight on your questions. Jora, please leave us. ” Hergoph waved to Jora. She exited the tent.
“ My boy, you are in Kelimn. This is the home of the Kunri. We are spirits who are scholars of the force. We study both the light side and the dark side. We obtain knowledge on all aspects of the force and teach people of this galaxy the way of our philosophy, though we only pick a scarce amount. You were chosen to learn our way because we witnessed you leave the Jedi Order. You did not want to be with one side of the force. You wanted to connect truly to it. So we had Jora find you and guide you to us. Right now you are still unconscious. You are in our realm. You are imagining what this world is like, but not the people or where we are. This is a cover up of our true being. Once you wake up, you will be on the surface of Kelimn. It is a very chaotic place filled with the dark side. But here in this place it is the light. There is a way to be in both places, but it requires a deep concentration of the force. Tell me, are you wanting this way of life? ”
Is this really happening? Taunwe’s head felt like it was about to explode! How was he in this place, but he was knocked out? What is the surface of Kelimn like? Did he really want to become this person? He did want to know how a person can truly embrace the force. He thought about it for a minute or two, before looking up to Hergoph.
“ I accept your teachings. Please train me in the true ways. The way the force is meant to be. ” Taunwe bowed.
“ Come. ” Hergoph said.
The boy went up to Hergoph and the master placed his thumb on his forehead.
“ When you wake up, hear Jora. She will guide you. ”
A pulse of light shone through Taunwe’s forehead, and he woke up. He couldn’t believe it. The pain, the suffering…
V. The Way of Both
When Taunwe woke up, he could not believe what he saw. It looked like hell. There were bodies strewn about, all with white hair. There was immense suffering everywhere. He could feel it. His chest hurt. Taunwe gripped his heart and looked to the sky. There were the same clouds he saw from space. There was no rain pouring down from them, only lightning. Now he was laying on the ground. The pain was too much. He heard Jora’s voice.
“ Concentrate, keep this pain at bay on yourself. ” She said. She sounded distant, but at least she could speak full sentences now.
“ The hatred, the suffering! It’s too much! ” Taunwe was on the ground breathing rapidly. It hurt more and more as time went on, like he was being shot by blasters from every direction.
He tried focusing on his breathing. He closed his eyes and sat up. He was in his meditative stance, and he felt the darkness start to part from him. It felt cleansing.
“ Good. What do you feel now? ” Jora said.
“ The darkness. But also the light… It’s there. I have to reach out to it. ” Taunwe said through his focus.
“ Balance the two. Once you do, you will be in our world. The true world. Once you are there, you will be at the same place you were before when you were knocked out, at Hergoph’s tent. Only, everything will look different. Now, concentrate! ”
Taunwe focused more. He was thinking about his master. All the times they spent together… Taunwe felt the light come more closer. It felt warm versus the cold of the dark side. He focused even harder. All around him, rocks and dirt were floating around him. He was now thinking about the Sith and the Jedi, how meaningless the two were if all they brought were wars that harmed the innocent. He felt the dark side looming with the light. Finally, he balanced them both. The dark side and the light.
Together.
He was now in some other world. His body still sitting there meditating, but his mind someplace else. He was indeed in Hergoph’s tent, but everything looked different. The tent was now a cave. Everything outside seemed the same, only the people had changed. Except, they weren’t people. They were figures of black and white. They wore nothing. They all looked like ghosts. Taunwe was startled at the sight of this. He heard Hergoph’s voice in his mind and it scared him even more.“ Do not be frightened. This is our true form. And this is the true world of the force. ” Said Hergoph.
“ Here, the dark side and the light are one. We manipulate it. Study it. ”
“ Where are we? ” Taunwe said through some heavy breathing.
“ We are in our realm. The absolute location is vague, but what we do know is that we are outside of this galaxy. Come, we must begin your training. ”
Taunwe nodded and started a journey that would take decades and decades to complete…
VI. Training and Awakening
53 years have passed. At the start of his journey, Taunwe would train with Jora under the instruction of Master Hergoph. They were taught on the philosophy of the Kunri, which included using the dark side and light side to bring order and peace together. They were also trained in combat, using traditional Jedi techniques and Sith techniques. The ex-Jedi had the ability of going in and out of the Kunri Realm on the account of not giving himself to the planet, yet. Luckily he repaired his ship and would venture to Coruscant and see what kind of events were happening in the galaxy. When he learned of The Clone Wars, Taunwe was disappointed in the Jedi. Now he had no more faith in them as the peace keepers of the galaxy. Hew viewed them now as dogmatic and selfish people, fighting for their own purpose and not thinking of the consequences of it. Yes, war is a subject that brings chaos, but it should be done with careful thought. Taunwe decided he had enough of this, and remained in the Kunri Realm…
When Taunwe turned 35, he was granted the title of Kunri Knight until he was 60 and was granted the rank of Kunri Master. He and Jora have developed a relationship with each other over the course of their lives. They started to obtain feelings for each other and they married when Taunwe turned 40. Both of them were valuable assets to the Kunri and were also two of the most powerful Hergoph and the elders have ever seen. When Taunwe turned 73 years old, he was asked by Hergoph and the elders if the now elderly man wanted to give himself to the planet, and become a spirit along with Jora. They both talked and agreed that they would accept this offer. Their bodies were now in something called force hibernation. Both of their hair turned white and they laid on the planets surface, while their minds were in the Kunri Realm for the rest of time itself. They would remain there for over 700 years, training in the ways of the force. As time went on, Taunwe felt a more darker presence lurking in the realm, something sinister. He and Jora went to explore it and they found something. It was a relic that was channeling the dark side immensely. Someone had placed it there, and they needed to find out. They discovered it was Hergoph himself. He wanted to use this relic to wipe out all of the light from the realm, and exterminate the teachings of the righteous. He was a sith. He turned to the dark side. Now Taunwe and Jora had to eliminate him and take the relic out of their home. They fought Hergoph, and successfully executed him, but they also needed to rid of the dark object. The only way they could do it is if one of them went out of hibernation and manifested the relic and destroyed it. But that meant either Jora or Taunwe could not enter the realm ever again…
In the end Taunwe took up the task to forever exit the Kunri Realm. He embraced his one and only love… The elders gathered around him and chanted while placing their hands on Taunwe’s body. Just like that, he was on Kelimn’s surface to never return back to the Kunri realm… He journeyed for weeks trying to find this relic, when he finally laid eyes upon it in a cave. He touched it, and black pured out of it and covered him. Taunwe remembered his training and channeled the force. The black left and the relic turned gray. Taunwe picked it up and took his light saber and cut it in half. The relic burst with light and shattered. Now the task was done. He saved Kelimn form corruption o the dark side. But now he could not return back. He thought of his wife. Taunwe wept. He got up and headed back to his star fighter, where he saw his wife’s force hibernated body. He kissed her on the cheek and took off to who knows where. Maybe he could teach others the ways of the Kunri, or maybe exile himself somewhere. He did not know. Only the force could guide him on his next journey….
