Taste my supersonic lullaby

Right, Ropos were tiny little buggers. That wasn't very intelligent, Token. Silly girl. She shook her head. Her skirt was pulled by the water tension, but it didn't matter at this point. She probably couldn't use it to help her. When [member="Poro"] did get pushed to her, she smiled and hugged the now-soaking fuzzy ball of critter. She really liked animals.

Even sharks.

Unless they were going to eat her. She looked at Poro and made a shushing sound as she closed her eyes. She could reach out to the shark, right? Taking a deep breath she extended her senses, reaching for the shark, hoping it wasn't going to be a completely instinctive animal.

That'd complicate things.

Poro

Being pulled out of the water and into the breeze was fairly cold. His fur didn't help in this case because of how sodden he was. Tears came to his eyes as he shivered and tried to cough and hack out water from his insides. He had gotten most of it out, but there was still an uncomfortable amount when [member="Token Waters"] hushed him. He tried his best to hold back the urge to cough, occasionally letting off some instinctive, stifled, and unsatisfying wheezes. He stared at the brown, pointed mass underneath the water that was coming towards them.

The sand shark felt a presence on its mind. This was something it had never felt in its entire life, so it instinctively flinched. When it didn't see anything dangerous in the water except for skirted legs and two elbows, he curiously moved in the direction where he felt the touch, which was towards the skirt and elbows. He could see something white, puffy, and snack sized above the water but couldn't quite make it out. He poked his head above the water and stared at the two. When he got a good luck at the puff ball, his lips curled back to reveal a smile made of white, pearly, serrated teeth.

The Ropo was definitely all wet now. Fuzzy was... well, it looked like a drowned rodent, except moving. A drowning, or almost drowning rodent? Still, she couldn't help but feel bad for [member="Poro"]. It was cute, after all. And for a little guy had gone through a lot. She felt bad, but felt... more than bad? She could connect. Her parents were done too. All her family, and her homeworld. How was she supposed to deal with that? By learning about the Force and fighting people who would continue to hurt her and those she loved.

But right now that didn't matter. What mattered was the shark. It was... coming at them. She could feel its mind, instinctive, reactive and most of all hungry. Hungry for Ropo. And possibly her, but it could eat the Ropo without needing to bite off bits. An appetizer. Yeah, that was not a good feeling to have. She looked down a the eyes of the shark when it surfaced and pushed with her mind. Willing the beast to turn away, and to let them get ashore.

The shark felt the presence on his mind again, telling him to go away. He instinctively followed it but, as he did so, his lips turned down into a frown and a guttural, disappointed grunt came from its throat. He turned around, splashing water in [member="Token Waters"]' face, and swam away, looking for something to eat. Poro bravely blew a wet raspberry at the retreating shark and then started shivering again. He nuzzled his wet, furry face into [member="Token Waters"]' exposed sternum.

Token was really good with animals, always had been, was why her father didn't make her the heir to the company he had. Shipping wasn't her thing, but really, the nature and animal parts of life? That was what she lived for. That and love. Love was the best thing ever. She closed her eyes as the shark splashed her and [member="Poro"] and couldn't help but giggle at the critter's reaction. "You okay, buddy?" Was the Force always that reactive?

Poro

Poro didn't know who Buddy was and he couldn't see anyone else around who she could be calling Buddy. So, he assumed she was addressing him. He peeked up at her and stared in response to her words, but he was otherwise uncomprehending of her words. The damp fur on his chest kept expanding and compressing against her skin. It would have been ticklish if his fur wasn't reminiscent to a wet dandelion.

(Congratulations, you. You have 222 posts at the time that I'm typing this. [member="Token Waters"])

Buddy was definitely the term she was using for @poro. She wasn't sure if it could comprehend her, but it could understand feelings, that bit she knew. She saw that first hand. Smiling, she rubbed the wet ball of fur, kind of blah about the feeling of wet dandelion, and hoping it didn't smell. Some animals did, and it was gross. Sort of. Earthy, and Token did like earthy, but it was an odd small. "I think we're safe." She spoke and reached out in the Force, to try to visually define 'safe.'

It involved a hug.

Poro could feel her presence in his mind and it felt great. He was flooded with all sorts of warm fuzzy feelings and he had never felt so much love before now. His fur instinctively reacted to these feelings, changing from yellow to red to pink. His purring created slight vibrations, much like a cat. Suddenly, a black jagged streak slowly crossed his fur in plain sight of [member="Token Waters"]. It came to his forehead and then shrunk, disappearing from his fur.
