  • Description: [ Give a brief overview of this combat unit. Notable appearance, if they have a unit emblem, general mindset and behavior, etc. ]
COMBAT INFORMATION: The combination of Unit Size and Availability below is the indicator of how numerous your unit is. Stormtroopers for instance would be considered Large/Common, while Rogue Squadron would be a Small/Unique unit. Majority Force User Units are prohibited from being Common or Large. The stronger and more specialized your unit is (FU or NFU), the smaller and less common it should be.
  • Unit Size: Medium
  • Unit Availability: Some
  • Unit Experience: Elite.
  • Combat Function:
There are Elite soldiers, and then there are the Raiders. Violence is their calling, their passion. They have done nothing but committed themselves to war and the pursuit of it's success since their inception as young men and women. The Raiders are no different. They are specialized in a variety of fields, in specializations that range from reconnaissance all the way to emergency trauma medicine.

They are an advisory unit, dropped into hostile planets with the intention of transforming local militia members into highly-effective, highly-lethal warfighters sympathetic to the Silver Jedi cause.

Strengths:

  • Extremely mobile. Each Raider is able to self-sustain themselves and use common transportation to get to an objective. Raiders are able to get to and from planets relatively unnoticed.
  • Extremely versatile. Raiders are hand-picked and hand-selected, they are among the most diverse group of Special Forces units. There is no common theme or background among them, they are all uniquely suited to the mission set in some way. Some come from less than pretty backgrounds.
  • Lethal. Raiders are above all else, highly effective combatants. They are all Special Forces operators in some capacity, and leagues ahead of most troopers.
  • Proficient. Raiders are selected for a specific proficiency, or skillset. They excel in their respective fields.
  • Deniable. Raiders are not marked, and their gear and attire are usually self-supplied, save for their rifles. This makes them hard to identify among the units they embed with, and easy to move about freely, usually under the guise as Bounty Hunters or mercenaries.
Weaknesses:
  • Unsupported- Raiders usually go in alone, and with no air support, no evacuation plan, and little communication with higher adjacent units. This is part of their mantra and doctrine.
  • Small Unit- With such a small number of troops, Raiders operating in a combat environment is rare, they are typically leased as force multipliers, and rarely direct-action combat missions. The potential for loss sets the Raiders back immensely, losing even one Raider is costly to the unit as a whole.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
[ Include a description of the unit’s history here. How they were formed and by whom, past noteworthy battles, moral affecting defeats, where they are stationed if applicable, etc. ]
