Tarn wears matte-black Myrmidon armor customized for hostage rescue and infiltration, marked with the flame-over-red-cross sigil of Cohort X "Redsign." His visor is a thin, angular red slit across a smooth helmet with no visible mouthpiece. When off-duty, he wears fitted tactical blacks, with his old Blackhewn utility gauntlet still affixed to his left forearm. His face is sharp-featured, lean.

HISTORY:
Born on the industrial world of Taspir III, Tarn Ekkard was once a salvager's apprentice before signing up with the Diarchy Armed Forces. During a hostile boarding operation against a Imperial Remnant aligned rig station, Ekkard singlehandedly saved 11 Diarchy crew members using nothing but a fusion cutter, a rebreather, and foresight. He was offered placement in Cohort X "Redsign" of the Myrmidons the following month.
After excelling in trauma-extraction and vertical insertion drills, he was embedded long-term with Cohort VII "Blackhewn", where he learned structural sabotage, fortification breach protocols, and tunnel-based retrievals. This experience made him uniquely suited for HRT operations, where he now serves as Primarius Agent of Internal Security, overseeing the safe return or permanent removal of high value targets within integrating and existing worlds.
Despite multiple commendations, Ekkard remains a quiet, cold figure among Myrmidons. His only consistent association is with Centurion Kell Vos, to whom he defers absolute tactical trust. It's whispered among the REDSIGN barracks that Ekkard died once, and what came back was something colder.
He neither confirms nor denies this.
Given the honor due to his service, he now leads as the head of internal defense for the Diarchy security forces. An off branch of the DAF that works directly with the Chancellory of admission to ensure peace, justice, and security.
