Corporation Name: TaraTari Wartime
Headquarters: Alexandria
Locations:
Operations:
Rationale:
TaraTari Wartime was a former civilian shipyard that held several contracts with the military and then monarchy of Alexandria and the surrounding planets. It was a foreign company, the only one that was waived from the governments strict isolation policy at the time. TaraTari employees would come and go from the Cadi System, thus introducing other species to the human-dominant system.
TaraTari held several mining operations outside of the Cadi System that allowed it to be self-sufficient and independent of other companies, supplying its own resources and minerals in the creation of ships, shortly expanding into vehicle manufacturing for the Kingdom of Alexandria's military.
Once the political coup had occurred TaraTari was forced to either shut down its operations in the Cadi System, thus crippling the company, or submitting to the new governments regulations and ever careful watchful eye. The Commonwealth slowly absorbed the company, now primarily run by government-backed scientists and technicians. Shareholders have been bought out, the board was forced to replace former businessmen in the company with army and naval officers.
The final nail in the casket was when the board held a vote of confidence, and with every officer belonging to the military-government, the CEO was forced to resign from his position to allow the military full and ultimate control to the TaraTari shipyards, factories and mines.
Tier: Two
Description:
TaraTari is a government-controlled company that manufactures ships and vehicles for the Commonwealth military. Formerly TaraTari was primarily a civilian manufacturer that focused on transport vessels with private requests from the military, but after a political coup in the Cadi System TaraTari was quickly absolved by the newly formed government, The Commonwealth. They no longer perform private requests from other entities but continue to produce civilian transports, particularly they comply to the needs of Alexandria's complex public transport system.
With a broad range of manufacturing duties, TaraTari is carefully managed by a team of scientists, technicians and officers of the Commonwealth military that allow it to cater and maximize its manufacturing. TaraTari transports its minerals from nearby systems, primarily the 244Core system known for its mineral richness. As the Commonwealth begins to dissolve the isolation policy of the former government, TaraTari begins to amp up its production and design programs.
