Character Tannor Grene

Name: Tannor Grene
Species: Human
Gender: Male
Age: Mid–late 40s
Height: 6’1”
Build: Lean, fit, understated
Homeworld: Core Worlds (undisclosed)
Occupation: Private Therapist / Hypnotist
Affiliation: Independent
Force Sensitive: No

Appearance:

A calm, quietly observant man with an unassuming presence. Tannor dresses simply and professionally, favoring neutral tones and functional clothing. His posture and movements suggest discipline and control, though softened by a relaxed demeanor. His voice is low, steady, and soothing, carefully measured, never rushed.

Personality:

Tannor is patient, empathetic, and deeply grounded. He listens far more than he speaks and rarely interrupts. He offers neither judgment nor easy reassurance, instead guiding others toward their own clarity and healing.

He possesses a subtle intensity beneath his calm exterior; an impression that he sees more than he reveals. Though compassionate, he maintains firm emotional boundaries and professional ethics, never allowing himself to become dependent on or entangled with his patients. He values consent, autonomy, and trust above all else.

Strengths:

  • Exceptionally calm under pressure
  • Deeply empathetic and perceptive
  • Highly disciplined and focused
  • Excellent listener
  • Skilled at emotional de-escalation

Weaknesses:

  • Emotionally guarded
  • Keeps his past tightly sealed
  • Prone to internalizing guilt
  • Avoids forming close personal attachments
  • Carries lingering moral conflict from his former life

Skills & Abilities:

  • Advanced therapeutic counseling
  • Hypnosis & guided trance techniques
  • Trauma recovery methods
  • Psychological profiling
  • Crisis intervention
  • Behavioral analysis
  • Emotional grounding techniques

Note: Tannor is not Force-sensitive. His hypnotic abilities are entirely psychological in nature, rooted in training, experience, and practiced technique.

Background:

Very little is publicly known about Tannor Grene’s past. At some point in his life, he served in a classified role where influence, persuasion, and psychological manipulation were tools of survival and success. Whether tied to intelligence agencies, covert operations, or interrogative divisions remains unclear; and Tannor offers no confirmation. What is known is that he walked away.

Now operating quietly and strictly through word-of-mouth referrals, Tannor provides therapy to individuals deeply affected by war, trauma, and loss. His clientele includes soldiers, operatives, bounty hunters, intelligence agents, smugglers, and civilians caught in the fallout of galactic conflict.

He does not advertise. Those who find him are typically sent by someone who once needed him and lived.

Current Status:

Tannor maintains a small, discreet practice in a neutral-system location, carefully chosen for accessibility and privacy. His clinic is deliberately modest, designed to feel safe, quiet, and emotionally grounding.

He accepts only a limited number of patients at a time and prioritizes confidentiality and trust above profit.

Mobile Office Space:

Tannor’s office is designed around two guiding principles: absolute privacy and emotional safety. Everything within the space is modular, collapsible, and easily transported, allowing the entire office to be dismantled, relocated, and reassembled in a matter of hours. Though he employs trusted logistics teams for transport and setup, the layout and calibration of the space itself is always done personally.

At it's core, the office is a self-contained Faraday enclosure, constructed from layered composite shielding and energy-dampening materials. This prevents:

  • Electronic surveillance
  • Signal interception
  • Remote slicing
  • Passive scanning
  • Audio or visual eavesdropping

No external holonet signals penetrate the space. No transmissions leave it. The room is, quite literally, a dead zone for electronic intrusion. As a matter of policy, no droids are permitted inside, unless the droid itself is the client. In those rare cases, external transmitters, network connections, and uplinks are fully disabled prior to entry.

Atmosphere & Design:

Despite it's technical sophistication, the office feels nothing like a secure bunker. Soft, indirect lighting fills the space, tuned carefully to natural color spectrums that reduce visual stress and promote calm. The walls are finished in warm, matte textures rather than sterile metals, designed to absorb sound and eliminate harsh reflections.

Furnishings are deliberately organic and simple:

  • Deep, cushioned chairs instead of rigid seating
  • Natural fabric textures
  • Warm neutral tones
  • Subtle ambient temperature control

There is no desk barrier between Tannor and his client; only two chairs angled slightly toward each other, allowing for open posture without confrontational alignment.

The space is faintly scented with grounding botanical notes, barely perceptible, chosen for their calming psychological effects rather than fragrance.

Security Without Intimidation:

All security measures are deeply layered but intentionally invisible. With structural shielding embedded within wall panels, passive sound dampening fields, external perimeter monitoring handled off-site and discrete physical security stationed well beyond audible range. Nothing in the room appears militarized or defensive.

Tannor is acutely aware that many of his clients associate security hardware with interrogation, captivity, or trauma. His office is designed to feel safe - not watched.

Mobility & Logistics:

The entire office breaks down into several armored transport containers, each shielded and signal-dampened. Setup can occur in:

  • Starships
  • Remote settlements
  • Neutral stations
  • Temporary planetary facilities
  • Secure rented structures

No two setups are ever perfectly identical, though the emotional atmosphere is always the same.

Clients are never informed of his next location unless personally contacted.
