Born on sun-baked Tatooine inside a mercenary camp deep in the Jundland Wastes, Kail Ragnar was the son of mercenaries and immediately thrust into a life surrounded by honourable crime and notorious debauchery. But it was a life that was full of important lessons, strict morals and great love and affection from those he called family.
Educated within the camp and taken on many exciting, if at times dangerous, journeys across Tatooine and neighbouring planets, Kail grew up healthy, happy and eager to follow in his family’s footsteps. He learnt that many people labelled the “mercenary” as someone who valued credits and notoriety over decency and morals, but Kail easily rubbished that theory through his upbringing where everything that was done was done for survival and the security of family. No-one was ever innocent in the grand scheme of things and it was a dangerous world they lived in, but everyone had to make their way forward the only way they could with their tools and trades.
In his mid-twenties, Kail was a fully operating mercenary, dressed in his now deceased father’s combat gear of heavy duty trousers, Armourweave shirt, worn jacket and armoured vest, allowing him carry weaponry and supplies whilst being mobile. Working with his mother at times on hits, Kail was a worthy foe to his targets but wasn’t physically imposing and often worked with others to heighten his overall threat, but he had great respect within the cell he grew up in as a passionate and strong fighter and survivor.
On one major assignment by a local Hutt to eradicate a smuggling operation in the ruins of the ancient Rebellion Echo Base on Hoth, Kail chose to take on the job alone. Luckily for him the smugglers were in small numbers and quite inexperienced and although many were killed, some fled as they were all surprised by a Wampa horde attack. Thankfully Kail was saved by his mother who had followed and observed from afar with a number of other mercs. Kail was saved from the Wampas and taken back to the camp with his ego bruised and a severe lesson learnt about running into a situation and under-estimating the natural surroundings hidden from the naked eye.
Kail soon decided to venture away from Tatooine after a number of years working on his skill and galactic knowledge to make a name for himself and his family as a mercenary. He would show others that no matter what size you were or what Faction you had behind you or what skill you had, nothing could ultimately take away the fact you could be killed in a heartbeat and become nothing but a memory by one as effective as Kail.
Kail assisted in relic hunts for those in the Dark Arts that tested his resolve as Non-Force user but also as an explorer and adventurer. He also got involved in numerous confrontations with beings across the many cities of planets he visited when drinking in local clubs, as trying to bury memories simply led to his ego taking a battering. During a recent mission on Kashyyyk hunting down Sith Lord Darren Shaw, Kail was under the impression it would be a simple track-down and bag the kill, but after arriving and being taken in by Shaw, using an alter-ego name of Dante, Kail only found out too late it was the Sith he was after. Kail confronted the Sith with his weaponry but suffered a humiliating defeat and a horrid knee wound that still aches and throbs many weeks after leaving the planet, only after Shaw numbed the wound and allowed him to leave.
As Matsu broke away to attend to business with her Faction, business that was too intense for Kail to be involved in, he used to time to reflect on this new "partnership", be it a risky one, and the possibilities could lead to. He took on an assignment to the remote planet of Midvinter to meet with one Aerin Firebrand who reached him to assist in tracking down the name of the one who killed her Valykri father and eventually help her clan acquire weaponry for reasons he was unaware of. It was during that mission he channelled the feelings he had around Matsu to be tougher, more resilient and, surprisingly, more ruthless and cold to enforce his standing as a mercenary.
But Kail soon received word from Matsu Xiangu on Korriban to accompany her in search of a mysterious Sith relic known as the 'Ravager'. There, in the dark tombs on the Sith world, the two had a prickly team to navigate the dangers ahead, but nothing could stop the mighty force of the Dark Side, as two stone statues came alive once Matsu disturbed the relic and attacked the pair. Kail barged Matsu out of the line of one devastating blow, to take the brunt of it himself. Leaving his jaw broken, mutilated and his head severely wounded, Matsu affixed one of the statue's iron armour grate to his jaw to hold it in place until they could seek aid off-planet with the relic.
Ousted from Matsu's company, Kail left to return to Tatooine a broken man. Wracked with self-hatred, anger and upset and not just losing Matsu's affection but also his confidence and pride, he began walking the line between life and death. It was a good few weeks before Kail was able to talk properly, but that didn’t help the pain. With every letter, every number, every breath he formed, he was in agony. Tempting fate in Mos Eisley and surrounding areas, he pushed himself harder and stronger to be nothing but a pillar of strength. It was difficult, and he gained a lot more bruises in the process from drinking his troubles away and trying to be a tougher, more resilient man.
However it would be Xenia Nastassia, a mysterious bounty hunter-cum-dignitary that would offer Kail a chance at salvation before ripping it out from under him. Forming a peculiar love/hate bond after Xenia attempted to bring Kail to Rodia after his assassination of a corrupt politician, the two found they both craved adventure and dispensing justice to the few beneath them who picked on the vulnerable.
Kail wanted to trust Xenia, and it took him a while before he did, because both seemed to have ulterior motives for the other. They travelled the galaxy to hunt down the Rodian’s who placed the bounty on Kail’s head and also attempted to kill Xenia after she failed to deliver their prize. With their support of the other, both managed to track down the Rodian cell with the help of Xenia’s established company Nas-Tech, working to build security droids and arms.
But it was on Rodia that Kail’s doubt crept in and as he was offered on a plate, after failing to trust Xenia’s trap that was to be set, he set off an explosive confrontation between the Rodians, the Nas-Tech armed droids and Kail and Xenia. In the resulting firefight, there were no survivors except Kail, Xenia and one Rodian thug who escaped. Xenia’s last look as she lay wounded was one of hate to Kail before she appeared to die in front of him. Seeing nothing else to stay for, Kail fled the planet in a rage, back to Tatooine but not before ditching her ship in the process. But Xenia wasn’t dead; she just let him think she was.
Kail fled to Tatooine and the cell he left to finally kill the weak, emotional failure who had done nothing but let himself down and his family of mercenaries. It was time for the man to make way for a monster who would not be broken, and who would be feared by others once more…

BIOGRAPHY
With nowhere to go and no one to stand by, Kail Ragnar gave up on himself. A weak, unstable and emotional failure of a mercenary, haunted by losing the partnership of Matsu Xiangu and responsible for the ‘death’ of Xenia Nastassia, all who constantly pushed him to the edge, Kail finally cracked. He had been defeated by Sith Lords, beaten by bounty hunters and humiliated by Jedi.
Returning to the Jundland Wastes of Tatooine, Kail hooked up with the rag-tag mercenary cell he hadn’t been seen with for months and immediately set about a transformation with the brutal methods, training and tools at his disposal. Wanting to erase the feeble man he used to be, Kail first changed his physical appearance by shaving his hair and embarking on a rigorous and harmful exercise regime across all the terrain he could muster. The sun baked and blistered his skin, which left scars pocketed over his upper arms and back that he left un-treated. Pushing himself, he developed greater muscle mass and bulked up by eating raw meats and drinking fresh water.
Making a rag-tag array of clothing from other mercenary castoffs, he wore combat trousers, boots and a heavy armoured vest, full of pockets, belt straps and padding to protect him from close quarter hits or shrapnel. He was also provided with strong gauntlet over his weak wrist and a back-belt to strengthen his spine. Next came the mask to help hide his face that would give him an appearance that would be haunting but also aid him.
As his development was admired over the months by his mercenary family, they helped him make a modified mask to feed him a steady supply of Nullicaine anathestic gas to kill the erratic pain from his jaw wound sustained in the Sith tomb on Korriban. It would render his nervous system near numb, feeling very little pain. The Nullicaine supply was limited and something Kail would have to continue to seek and administer through the feeding pipe in his mask going directly into his airways, greatly affecting his voice and giving it a raspy, almost synthetic quality to it. Kail took the name of Talos, a protector and warrior of the ages who was subject of myth and lore dating way before the rise of the Sith Order, and one who was brutal, cunning and resilient against authority.
It was time to venture away from Tatooine after a year of getting used to his new persona and return to the galaxy to show others that no matter what size, shape or skill you had, nothing could ultimately take away the fact you could be killed in a heartbeat by one stronger than you. Talos swore he would always be the one to administer the fatal blow not just for his reputation, but for the sheer pleasure of it, and maybe one day he would have the chance to crush the skulls of those who killed Kail Ragnar…

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES
+ Superior physical strength thanks to pushing himself harder, longer and faster in training on the harsh surfaces of his homeworld Tatooine. He has become an imposing figure to come up against and with his anaesthetic gas feed, he feels very little pain or discomfort.
+ Brilliant tactical mind who prefers to think about his actions rather than just charge ahead with a blaster. He is careful, cold and calculating with a mind as brutal as any beast out there.
+ Very well trained in melee and hand-to-hand combat after studying the art of many fighters and tactics used by them to help paint a picture of most opponents and identify their weaknesses.
~ He has no loyalty and no compassion due to losing so much he had at his fingertips. It also is a tender reminder of his own reckless mistakes that turned him into this beast.
- Dependant on the Nullicaine gas, hence wearing the mask. Should this be removed or damaged, the pain would be devastatingly brutal and severely weaken him, leaving him open for attack.

BIOGRAPHY
With nowhere to go and no one to stand by, Kail Ragnar gave up on himself. A weak, unstable and emotional failure of a mercenary, haunted by losing the partnership of Matsu Xiangu and responsible for the ‘death’ of Xenia Nastassia, all who constantly pushed him to the edge, Kail finally cracked. He had been defeated by Sith Lords, beaten by bounty hunters and humiliated by Jedi.
Returning to the Jundland Wastes of Tatooine, Kail hooked up with the rag-tag mercenary cell he hadn’t been seen with for months and immediately set about a transformation with the brutal methods, training and tools at his disposal. Wanting to erase the feeble man he used to be, Kail first changed his physical appearance by shaving his hair and embarking on a rigorous and harmful exercise regime across all the terrain he could muster. The sun baked and blistered his skin, which left scars pocketed over his upper arms and back that he left un-treated. Pushing himself, he developed greater muscle mass and bulked up by eating raw meats and drinking fresh water.
Making a rag-tag array of clothing from other mercenary castoffs, he wore combat trousers, boots and a heavy armoured vest, full of pockets, belt straps and padding to protect him from close quarter hits or shrapnel. He was also provided with strong gauntlet over his weak wrist and a back-belt to strengthen his spine. Next came the mask to help hide his face that would give him an appearance that would be haunting but also aid him.
As his development was admired over the months by his mercenary family, they helped him make a modified mask to feed him a steady supply of Nullicaine anathestic gas to kill the erratic pain from his jaw wound sustained in the Sith tomb on Korriban. It would render his nervous system near numb, feeling very little pain. The Nullicaine supply was limited and something Kail would have to continue to seek and administer through the feeding pipe in his mask going directly into his airways, greatly affecting his voice and giving it a raspy, almost synthetic quality to it. Kail took the name of Talos, a protector and warrior of the ages who was subject of myth and lore dating way before the rise of the Sith Order, and one who was brutal, cunning and resilient against authority.
It was time to venture away from Tatooine after a year of getting used to his new persona and return to the galaxy to show others that no matter what size, shape or skill you had, nothing could ultimately take away the fact you could be killed in a heartbeat by one stronger than you. Talos swore he would always be the one to administer the fatal blow not just for his reputation, but for the sheer pleasure of it, and maybe one day he would have the chance to crush the skulls of those who killed Kail Ragnar…
