  • No Disintegrations - A major advantage that a disruptor rifle has over its blaster brethren is its ability to absolutely vaporize organic beings in a ranging number of shots, the ionized plasma capable of disintegrating the target atom by atom which makes for a truly horrendous death.
  • Computer Enhanced - Several military-grade microcomputers are featured in the rifle, generally enhancing its combat effectiveness by providing its user things like ease of targeting and the status of the weapon.

  • Reduced Capacity - While regular blaster rifles only have about 50 shots with a standard power cell, the G-9 has 15. The same goes for the canister of tibanna gas, regular has 350, the disruptor has 45. This would mean that weapon handlers would have to carry an increased amount of power cells in order to get the most of the rifle.
  • Slow Rate of Fire - Classified as Semi-Automatic, not only does the wielder need to pull the trigger for a pulse, a recharge period of exactly three seconds is required for the disruptor rifle to once again be ready to fire.

With Taim & Bak beginning their glorious ascent to galactic arms manufacturer, the company's secret owner, the Galactic Empire, requested that T&B create a disruptor rifle for the use by the agents of Imperial Intelligence, the privateers under the employ of the Imperial Starfleet, and the Empire's special force units. In an effort to keep rival companies and nosey factions from discovering Taim & Bak's new owner as well as for them to make more profits, the company decided to push the new disruptor design into mass production.

A new favorite for soldiers, pirates, and mercenaries alike, the G-9 Disruptor Rifle offers the complete molecular disintegration of organic targets, with one shot being enough to kill an individual in most cases and in the extreme, groups of them. Unlike the T-7 Ion Disruptor that the G-9 is modeled after, it is effective in no way against vehicles or starfighters unless the pilot is sitting in the open and a prime target for a shot.

Featuring an effective range on par with a standard sniper rifle, military-grade microcomputers make certain that a shot made by the wielder is a shot made accurately. This is unintentionally exemplified by the rifle's low capacity for ammunition, a single power pack only granting it fifteen shots before it needs a new one, triple that for its canister of tibanna gas.

A fine, Geneva Convention violating weapon, here. Good thing such laws don't exist here, hm?

For clarity, are both power cell and gas canister loaded at the same time, or is it that the user has to choose one load or the other?

If it's the former, then increase the weight and describe how the user swaps firing modes, with a weakness regarding complexity. If it's the latter, where only one form of ammunition can be used at a time -then I think the weapon is fine in its current form.

Well, it's the former but it isn't a 'firing mode' thing. Disruptors, like blasters, use both at the same times; energy from the power cell and gas from the canister combine to form a bolt or, in the disruptor's case, an ionized plasma bolt. I have increased the weight, but I just want to let you know.
