Description: The tactical saber is not much more than a two-handed darksaber with a blaste barrelr at the end of the hilt put right above where the blade would come out complete with trigger. As such, it has all the advantages and disadvantages of a conventional lightsaber, the only difference being the blade which is completely black with a thin white outline, flat instead of round and makes a much softer sound when activated. The pistol attatched to it uses the black corusca gem of the weapon to shoot bullets at subsonic speed. These bolts are the same color as the blade and, being made from the same power source, it has all the cutting and piercing power of a small lightsaber blade moving at 290m/s. The bolts are fired with great power to provide decent stopping power, but also have a killer recoil that can snap the average man's wrist, making this one only to be used by the strongest men. The rate of fire is pretty low as there must be at least four seconds between each bolt, making this not one to be used in a blaster brawl.

This is a fixed version of a denied application. It has been modified to be simply a lightsaber with a black blade instead of an enhanced version of THE darksaber as it belongs to someone already. The description has been modified to show where the pistol part is and how it fits onto the saber as sort of an attachment.

Okay, Andreas, I'm gonna be real plain and simple here.

First, there is a second chance thread, you should have posted something in there.
Secondly, none of the judges are okay with a weapon that fires light-saber intensity plasma blasts long-range with no power source. A focusing crystal is not a power sources. The diatium battery would explode it if had to surge that kind of energy through a ranged system. If likes trying to fire bazooka ammunition through a slingshot, it's just a way to dislocate your shoulder.

A combination blaster/saber of any kind will require a development thread. Even with a dev thread, it would run on some from blaster ammunition, and have a clip limit that wouldn't effect the functionailty of a light saber.

To create a "plasma bolt launcher" that shoots saber beams of black plasma energy through a focusing crystal would be a weapon that requires a separate dev thread as well. Such a weapon would weigh in the similar range as an anti-material rifle. You are not going to get anti-material range combat on a lightsaber, that's unbalanced as all get-out.
