Name: Taara Sehko
Age: 28
Species: Pantoran
Gender: Female
Hair: Lavender
Eyes: Yellow
Skin: Sky Blue
Height: 5'8"
Weight: 133 Lbs.
Orientation: Heterosexual
Status: Widowed
Force Sensitive: No
Strengths & Weaknesses:
+Beautiful- Taara doesn't go out of her way to seduce people. She doesn't even try period. But somehow, some way, most people who are around her are naturally attracted to her in some way. They tend to be a bit more pleasant, which is nice in many circumstances.
+Maternal- She may not smile very often, and she may not seem like someone who enjoys children, but in reality Taara can deal with children surprisingly well. She has a natural tenderness toward them that she lacks with others.
-Reserved- Taara isn't open with her thoughts or opinions. She doesn't talk unless she has to or is obligated to. This can make it hard for anyone to really get to know her.
-Serious- Taara doesn't smile or laugh or openly show outward emotion. She seems cold. This too adds difficulty when attempting to socialize with her.
-Insomniac- Taara doesn't typically sleep very well anymore.
-Self-loathing- Taara holds no care for herself whatsoever. At the end of the day, she would gladly take a bullet or step in front of a bus so that another person would live. She sees no real value in herself anymore.
Personality:
Taara is quiet, cold, and seemingly anti-social for the most part. She doesn't actively associate herself with people, and as a result their feelings toward her are often very neutral. Taara really doesn't seem to care about... Well... anything. She lives her life, eating and sleeping and working. But there's no actual interest in anything she does. There's so much buried and hidden away that she looks like a stone wall with no emotion. However, her sleep won't let her escape. For this reason, Taara only gets about four or five hours of rest in a day.
Biography:
Once upon a time, there was a girl named Taara. Taara came to the planet Zolan at the young age of eleven. It was then, while studying galactic economics in her school, that she met a lively and outgoing human boy named Peran Sehko. He was rather rambunctious, always seeming to get in trouble for clowning around in class. To the shy and quiet young Taara, he seemed like nothing but a nuisance. As out of the way she stayed however, Peran had noticed her the minute she walked in.
Each day he would pester her. The conversation was friendly and relatively pointless, and it typically garnered little to no response from Taara. But as the weeks turned to months, the conversations turned into more of friendly teasing. Peran began to poke fun at her for the smallest things. It was honestly starting to annoy her. Finally, there came a day when Taara vocalized her opinion of him. She told him that he was "an annoying, juvenile little boy who had no business wasting his time with her and that he would be much better off focusing on his studies than throwing slander no matter how light in her direction".
With a laugh, Peran revealed that he'd finally gotten her to officially open up to him. He'd been trying for over three months, and it finally worked! Taara wasn't very amused, at first. But he was right. She started to actually talk to him shortly after that.
When Taara was fourteen, Peran asked her out. She accepted.
When Taara was sixteen, she discovered that she was in fact pregnant with Peran's child. After learning this, Peran married her. They were very young and very scared. But Peran had ended up becoming one of the top students in his class and was going into politics as one of the youngest public representatives in nearly 200 years. He was confident that they could be a family, and that he could support them.
It wasn't easy at first, of course. With the birth of their first child, Allesan, Taara did her best to care for him at home while Peran worked two jobs. Both as a public representative and as a janitor. It wasn't glamorous, and often tiring for the both of them. But they managed.
Three years later, with the birth of their second child, Kayda, Peran was gaining a lot of popularity with both the people and the council. He no longer needed his job as a janitor, and they now lived in a fairly expensive house.
Their fortune only continued to rise as the years progressed.
When their daughter Marsya was born, Zolan seemed to be a world of peace and order. Unfortunately, it didn't last. The government began to decline rather rapidly due to a split in the council. The opposing sides continued gaining numbers and the arguments continued escalating. Finally, an all-out war broke loose. With most of the other representatives taking sides, only Peran seemed to care about those that didn't wish to be involved in the fight. He adamantly spoke and defended the third party until all diplomacy was thrown out the window. With no other alternative, Peran saw to the off-world evacuation of as many neutral parties as he could. He attempted to do the same with his family. But Taara and their children refused to leave until Peran came with them.
And so, they became one of the last families to evacuate.
But what no one expected was for one of the opposing armies to outright attack civilians. As they were loading into the last off-world shuttle, a missile was launched, destroying the shuttle and killing everyone on board.
This included Peran, Allesan, Kayda and Marsya. Somehow, some way, Taara had survived.
She awoke confused in a makeshift hospital where countless other wounded were being treated by outside forces. A man named [member="Ardgal Raxis"] had been there to find her in the rubble. He was forced to tell her what had happened.
It was... Very difficult for her to accept. For the first time in her life, she had nothing. No one. She was completely and utterly alone. But Ardgal had a plan for her. He told Taara that in his dying breath, Peran had asked him to take care of her. He told her that he was a god. That she could be his Priestess.
Taara, with nowhere else to turn, accepted this offer. She didn't quite believe what he said about himself. But Ardgal was kind and strong, and willing to care for her. With nothing left to lose, Taara saw no harm in playing along.
