The Beaten Path is Syndicate's newest thread that we wish to undertake. Where Savages was more action heavy and forced everyone to look at the inherent violent nature of man, and Cities Made of Glass took a look into existential despair brought on by mass tragedy. The Beaten Path coming from the term "Off The Beaten Path" often refers to tourism and finding spots that aren't frequently viewed by tourists as a whole. So taking that expression in this thread we wish to apply that not only externally but internally as well, by doing two things. One is setting the thread in a very obscure and unknown planet in the Star Wars universe and really breathing life into it, almost in a Hemingway style of setting events in very smaller unheard of locations. The second way we plan on doing this is internally taking ourselves "Off The Beaten Path" by visiting parts of our personalities we never knew we had. Be it mercy, kindness, wrath, or regret we never knew we had the capacity to give. These are the general themes and narrative we're looking to give in this scenario. So bellow will be the official "IC" invitation for you to join the job. Also yes we get really deep for a criminal faction.
Risks: Combat will be on the lighter side for the mission this time around. While we will be requiring heavy hitters and hardened mercenaries for what will be used for what can be considered very close quarters combat, we will also be requiring saboteurs and assassins for eliminating rather high priority targets. We will be facing off against organic targets so if you have any qualms against taking a life then I'm afraid to tell you that this job might not be for you. We also must claim that due to our last operation, working with us may or may not cause psychiatric harm to you. We are criminals, we are not saints, we are not good people, and we will go to great lengths to not only protect ourselves, but our contracted employees from harm and identification. As per usual you will be required to fill out the necessary paperwork before joining if you are new. These forms consist of Next of Kin Information, Remains/Corpse Directives, Basic Medical Questionnaire, and a Life Insurance Form. Now remember what you do and see on this mission is strictly confidential, if you rat, narc, squeal, or inform anyone of anything we will kill you. Thank you for understanding.
Job Details: We will be venturing to the destroyed planet of Anoth where we will be meeting an organization that doesn't need to be named right now and doesn't tie into any major galactic power. Once we meet with said organization we will commence with negotiations to secure a certain item, once the item has been located and confirmed, we will be taking it. Syndicate has no plans of purchasing said item and we shall destroy this weak and inferior group in order to do so. But before you get up in arms, they are worse people than us and deal in human trafficking and slavery among other rather destructive vices. We will be needing heavy hitting mercs to travel in the main party and assassins to be working behind the scenes to eliminate their leadership before the conflict begins. Do this and we'll be good.
Payment: Due to the toxic atmosphere of Anoth we will be stacking on an operational hazard bonus onto this job. You will be required to at the bare minimum to wear a breath mask and goggles, which will be provided for you should you not have any at your disposal. This brings our payment for this job upwards to fifty thousand credits for you to enjoy. Once more we do need to talk about penalties. Act like a professional, follow orders, common sense. If you do your job then there will be no issues on that front. Furthermore as hypocritical as it might sound, we don't particularly enjoy murdering unarmed civilians. However we have no qualms with killing rats and potential informants, so please do not harm any civilians until they have been deemed a security threat. Which in the case of this job we highly doubt, we here at Syndicate pride ourselves in the freeing of slaves.

Thanks everyone for showing interest in The Beaten Path. Since Savages just ended today, I intend to take Friday to watch Generation Kill, BBQ, and relax. We'll be kicking off Saturday probably at around noonish so until then, enjoy and have fun with your own devices.
