She had been away too long, a fault that was entirely her own, but it wasn't without it's benefits; though she was rather tired of the facial surgeries. Still, she rather liked the black hair look, and having trimmed her hair down made it a heck of alot easier to get her helmet back on. Which had lead her back home, or rather, what was to be home. She had the entire load out of the Krayt Mothership uploaded into her head, but she hadn't spent nearly as much time as she should have on board. Her personal vendetta had taken up most of her time, but with her little recon mission finished, it was time to sew shut a rift that she had long left open. After Coruscant, she had taken a few hits, as had Shai, but the incident had awoken a side of Aerith she had thought lost, and with it, she had finally found her objective.

Now, she just needed a little bit of help, and closure. Hopefully, she could get both tonight.

Her footfalls halted as she arrived at her destination, her cybernetic arm raising as she rapped her metallic fist against the door, smacking against the name that had been inscribed upon it; Shai Krayt.

She had put this off for far too long.

It was a moment of piece for the Shistavanen. Without wars, fights, losses, or other kinds of responsibilities dragging her away, she had some time to herself to grieve over Eliz's loss and tend to herself. Aboard the Vhipirheim, curled up on the bed, she stared at the holoprojector playing her favourite drama. It had been going for almost a hundred years by now, with no end in sight as the story continued on with its twists, turns, affairs and other daily struggles of the average people in the galaxy.

A life she longed for, if she had to be honest.

The operation on Panatha had left her in a dismal state. The job was easy, if she had to be honest. But the loss she and the rest of the clan sustained was unacceptable. One more of her kiddies gone, taken by their people's enemies. Gwyneira was broken by it, and her resolve to keep Vulcan safe as much as possible was only strengthened. She wouldn't lose another one of her kiddies in this war. Never again.

She jumped when someone knocked on her door out of the blue. Pausing her show, she adjusted her tank top and shorts as she wandered over to her door. It was likely just another thing with the ship, or something she forgot about in her job as Alor... or it was the last person she expected to see on the ship.

Her crimson eyes went wide in surprise as the door slid open. Since Coruscant, Aerith was missing again. She knew the girl was safe... and she was quite glad that the girl didn't change her style since she helped to fix her memory. But one thing remained most prominent... she never got to thank her.

After staring at the cyborg for way too long, she closed the distance and wrapped her arms around the girl in a tight hug. With a shaky sigh she held onto Aerith, no desire to say anything. Gently she pulled her into the room and closed the door behind them before she pulled back to look at her with tears welling up. "I never got to thank you." She chuckled, not knowing what else to say.

When the door opened, Aerith was surprised at the state of her friend. Coruscant had been difficult, hell, it had been a pretty bad smack down truth be told. She could have resisted being pulled in, probably should have at least tried, but decided against it. This was supposed to resolve things, and force knew the way she carried herself before hadn't accomplished anything aside from sowing confusion.

She was surprise when Shai mentioned she hadn't thanked her, and she raised an eyebrow at that. Hugging the woman tightly, Aerith grimaced. She wasn't worthy of being a friend to her, yet here she was. Life didn't make sense sometimes. "After everything you've done, it's the least I can do." She muttered, before slowly stepping away. "I...." Once again, she took in Shai's new form, and frowned. Was this again her fault? Not being there to protect her friend? Metal and flesh didn't belong together, it shouldn't be fused in such an unnatural way. Sometimes, it was just better for the flesh to die, rather than keep going. Yet, here she was and Shai were going against the mill. They seemed to do that alot. Perhaps why they had become friends. Maybe something more. "I didn't expect to see you with all these upgrades." She muttered, her cybernetic eye flashing to an orange, as Aerith scanned her friend.

What the hell was war doing to them.
