SPECIAL ATTRIBUTES

Brawlhalla-Alucard-Sword.webp
Svartskera is a long, needle-slender estoc forged in the archaic style of ancient Sith dueling weapons. Meant not for brutish hacking, but for elegant, terrifying precision. Its blade is a tapered spear of treated ultex steel and refined Ha'rangirite veins, seamlessly fused through Mandalorian runesmithing and Nightsister shadow-alchemy. Though physically wieldable like any superb blade, its true power resides in its ability to soar through the air with predatory intent, answering not to hand or muscle but to emotion, will, and the attuned bond with its wielder. The sword behaves as if half-alive: it twitches when danger approaches, circles like a hawk above its bonded host, and strikes in smooth, supernatural thrusts that bend around obstacles and pierce where defenses are weakest. Sith runes of Drain, Destruction, and Shadowfold are carved into its core, allowing it to consume energy, life, and Force essence from those it pierces before re-emitting that stolen power in devastating crimson detonations. It is as much a psychic familiar as it is a blade, a weapon that grows stronger the more hatred you feed it.

Devour & Discharge: The spine of Svartskera is etched with Sith drain-glyphs that awaken when the blade pierces flesh or contacts a Force-saturated aura. Through these runes, the sword leeches vitality, stamina, and raw Force energy directly from its target, storing the stolen essence in its Ha'rangirite-infused core. The weapon becomes heavier, darker, and more violent the more it feeds, its runes glowing with a deep, heartbeat-like crimson. This drain is subtle enough to occur in the midst of a duel but potent enough to weaken even seasoned Force-sensitives. Overuse risks overwhelming the wielder with the emotions it absorbs, fear, agony, spite. Requiring immense discipline to control.

Crimson Obliteration: Once Svartskera has sated itself, the wielder can trigger a catastrophic discharge of the gathered power. The blade becomes a crimson flare and emits a conical blast of volatile Force Destruction energy, capable of vaporizing armor, blowing open durasteel bulkheads, or hurling entire squads aside in a single apocalyptic pulse. This technique consumes all stored power, leaving the blade dim and exhausted, but the sheer devastation is nothing to take lightly. Like a miniature supernova erupting from the point of an elegant, hovering sword. Only those intimately bonded with the weapon can safely moderate the release; an undisciplined wielder risks the blast backfiring or destabilizing the blade's structure.

Sovereign Blade of Will: The weapon can be commanded through pure will, obeying its wielder like a hawk following a gloved hand. Svartskera darts, spirals, and lunges with inhuman precision, following subconscious micro-emotions, visual targets, or pre-planned sequences of martial intent. To the untrained eye, it behaves like a ghost-blade: flickering, bending midflight, and attacking from impossible angles. The sword defends its wielder autonomously as well, intercepting blasterfire, circling like a sentry, or hovering at the shoulder ready to strike. The stronger the wielder's attunement to the force, especially those highly skilled in telekinesis, the more fearsome and unpredictable the sword becomes. When thrown or dismissed, Svartskera always knows the path home. The blade can reverse direction mid-flight, curving through debris, weaving through crowds, and spiraling back toward the wielder with drill-like momentum. This return path is often more deadly than the initial attack, shredding anything caught between wielder and blade. If sufficiently charged with drained energy, the returning strike gains additional mass and rotational force, enabling it to punch through starship hulls or crush heavy plating in its wake.

INTRINSIC STRENGTHS

Phantom Autonomy: Once bonded, the sword becomes an extension of the wielder's nervous system—a phantom limb made of steel. It reacts to subconscious impulses, emotional shifts, and spatial threats even faster than the conscious mind could command, enabling defensive interceptions or sudden counterthrusts with uncanny speed. Skilled telekinetics can wield the blade as though it were three weapons at once: a piercing projectile, a hovering shield, and a dueling sword. This predatory autonomy makes Svartskera devastating in open battlefields and tight corridors alike.

Cataclysmic Output Potential: As a weapon of both consumption and annihilation, the sword's ability to store and release stolen energy gives it a destructive potential surpassed only by high-grade explosives or alchemical superweapons. The annihilation burst can clear trenches, cripple mechs, or obliterate dense materials in an instant. Few weapons allow a single warrior to project such overwhelming power without technological support, making the blade a terror in siege warfare or boarding actions.

Threaded Needle: With its Shadowfold capabilities and precision estoc geometry, the blade is ideally suited for striking through the cracks in enemy defenses. Its umbral thrust can slip past lightsaber guards, shield bubbles, or Force barriers, making it especially effective against Jedi and Sorcerers. The weapon excels at assassination thrusts, disabling precision strikes, or bypassing heavy armor that would resist blasters or heavy melee arms.

Unholy Hunger: Each drained imprint repairs microfractures, restores sharpness, and revitalizes the runes woven into the blade. As long as it continues to feed, the weapon is nearly impossible to permanently damage. Its Ha'rangirite core becomes denser with each stolen heartbeat, making the blade progressively harder to disarm, break, or dull. It has survived impacts, falls, temperature extremes, and explosive blasts that would annihilate lesser armaments.

DESIGN FLAWS

Emotional Overload Feedback: Because the blade amplifies and responds to its wielder's emotions, using it in times of fear, grief, or instability can cause the sword to behave violently or unpredictably. If the wielder panics, the blade may lash out erratically; if enraged, it might push for lethal strikes even when the wielder holds back. Prolonged combat risks the psychological "bleedthrough" of absorbed emotions, creating phantom pains, rage spikes, or disorientation in the wielder. Only those with iron discipline or supernatural emotional control can master it safely.

Bloodthirsty Blade: The more the sword feeds, the more unstable its stored energy becomes. Draining too many targets or storing too large a reservoir causes the blade to vibrate with destructive tension, risking premature discharge, ruby-colored cracks along the fuller, or an uncontrolled detonation of Force Destruction energy. At maximum saturation, the blade becomes physically dangerous to hold and mentally overwhelming to control.

Bladebound Bond: The weapon demands a deep, psychic connection with its wielding host. If that bond is weakened, due to mental trauma, Force depletion, telepathic interference, or possession, the sword becomes sluggish, hesitant, or outright rebellious. It may refuse to strike for a wielder who has lost conviction, or worse, lash out in confusion. Disrupting the bond is among the most reliable counters to the blade's full potential.

Nullwake Stasis: In the presence of ysalamiri fields, Void Stone, anti-Force talismans, or other nullification effects, Svartskera becomes inert and falls lifelessly to the ground. The blade loses its telekinetic autonomy, its shadowfolding ceases, and all stored energy collapses back into silence. The runic system becomes dormant, sealing the weapon's power until the nullifying field subsides. While still a well-crafted physical sword, its supernatural lethality vanishes entirely, and any stored energy dissipates unrecoverably.

THE VAMPIRIC BLOODBLADE

Svartskera was conceived during the twilight period of Domina Prime's early mastery over her resurgent Force sensitivity, forged at a time when she stood between Mandalorian steelcraft and the shadow-laced sorcery of her Nightsister allies. The inspiration for the weapon came from two legacies: the assassin's estocs of old Sith dueling academies, and the floating spirit-blades employed by nightsister shamans, runepriests whose weapons danced through battlefields like guided meteors. Prime saw the potential of merging these traditions, crafting a weapon that could fight beside her even when her hands were full of shields, hammers, or warspells.

Forged from refined Ha'rangirite infused with ultex alloys, the blade was tempered in Nightsister ichor, cooled in star-ash, and engraved under the spectral oversight of Furyia Prime. During its forging rituals, the blade "twitched" whenever Prime's emotions surged, as if anticipating the bond that would later define their partnership. The Sith runes carved into its length were deciphered partly from broken holocrons, partly from Mandalorian sigil-lore, and partly from instinctive visions Prime received during trance states, visions of a blade that devoured power like a starving star.

The first field test came when Prime was ambushed during a border skirmish; the blade, resting at her hip, launched itself into the air as the first bolt fired, intercepting the shot and spearing the sniper before she consciously reacted. From that moment, the sword became her silent sentinel. Its drain capabilities were discovered by accident when a struck enemy collapsed far too quickly, his strength siphoned into the blade's core, causing its runes to glow like molten veins. Later trials refined its Destruction Burst, making it an invaluable siege tool.

Today, Svartskera is recognized as one of the most feared of Prime's divine armaments, a crimson-eyed wolf forged into a needleblade, a weapon that hunts as readily as it obeys. It serves not only as an extension of Prime's will, but as a living testament to the fusion of Mandalorian craft, Nightsister sorcery, and Sith discipline.
