Description:

As Human Replica Droids cannot actually eat, sleep, breathe or dream this enhancement to them allows them to do exactly that. In short this makes droids who choose to install it in a sense, more human. However, once installed it will mean they will have to eat about the same amount as a human. This is so that they will always possess a small amount of reserve power. Due to this, this technology does serve a useful purpose. It also allows droids to think like organics do, and have some semblance of free will. This technology is something Suvian will not often dish out to droids, because having too many that have free will could be dangerous. Waste is disposed of by emptying small compartments in the body that hold the waste until it is time to dispose of it. The compartments are literally removed, emptied, and cleaned. When the compartments are removed the droid cannot eat or drink though.

As for how the food is converted into energy for the droid, a special chamber inside the droid is pumped with chemicals as the food is put in the chamber. The chemicals cause reactions, drawing out the energy within the food, which is then used to power the droid in a similar fashion to how humans get energy from food. It is not recommended for them to overindulge with alcohol, as the side-effects are unknown, presently. The remains are then sent into the other chambers which are routinely cleaned 3-5x a day by the droid.

So, this 'upgrade' requires HRD's to eat, sleep, and drink(notable with no mention of a waste disposal unit), drastically reducing their overall efficiency in the name of stealth(Which they are by and large the most optimal droids in the first place)? And not only that, makes them experience 100x worse hangover(Which would actually make them a dead give away, getting utterly wasted after a single beer is a highly exaggerated lightweight) and makes them experience human emotions? Firstly, I'm not sure why this is considered an upgrade as all but one of the effects heavily negate the efficiency of HRD's, and lastly, I'm not even sure how this would theoretically work. Has Jeff(or any HRD really) been detected in RP due to not drinking/eating? Can you elaborate on how exactly the bio energy converter would work and what basis(canon or otherwise) it has?

The article you linked me too is how the human body works. HRD's do not have human bodies, they are machines with a layer of Synthflesh on top and cannot perform the same functions. Overall this seems a technology with limited benefit and offers no explanation on why or how it works the way it does. Because of this I am going to have to deny this submission.
