Kalia paced back and forth in her room as she reread the letter in her hand. She couldn't believe how careless she could have been. She ought to have known better and now she had jeopardized her whole future. It was only fair to tell him what was going on though she hated the idea of doing it in the letter. The only trouble was there was no other way as he was to be gone for months. If she could sneak aboard the ship he was on she could tell him everything in person. She had to ask.

Dear John,

I hope you had fun on our little trip. I know I did and I can't wait to see you again. Is there anyway I could possibly sneak up to your ship and see you? There is something very important I need to talk to you about.

Dear Kalia,

I am having a wonderful time working here but it might be kind of hard to get you on the ship. Are you a certified medic? I could pull some strings to get you assigned as an medical bay employee. If you can, contact Captain Jane Mendo. She is a friend of mine, she should be able to get your part of the application done. Just don't mention your a jedi. You can quit from the Medic corp unlike us Navy Dogs.

It was easy enough to get herself assigned to John's ship as of course she had medical training. Someone had to take care of those smugglers of course so she had gotten certified. Being able to prove her worth and with John's help she was there. Kalia was both excited and nervous about being here. Kalia had of coursed missed him terribly but how he would take the news was another story. She wasn't asking for anything just for wanted him to know the situation in person.

As she figured the medic bay was basically empty and quite. The only time anybody ever came in was because they had a stuffy nose or had cut their finger. This was most definitely not as exciting as living on the edge with the pirates. It would do though and in her state it was probably best to not put a lot of pressure on herself.

John had found out what quarters were assigned He knocked on her door and upon her opening it he was going to do the following. " Kalia!" He said with a smile and the look that told her he had missed her something desparate. " I can't belive you got the job. " John smiled and couldn't help but do the very unprofessonal thing by hugging her. He was in love with her. John was estatic that she had got the job and was just so glad to be with her.

"It wasn't that difficult plus I would do anything for you. I missed you," she smiled returning his hug. Kalia loved him but she worried this new update would scare him away. Kalia couldn't blame him either after all it wasn't what he signed up for. She only hoped for the best though. "I wish I could say that I signed up here just to be here with you but I have something I need to talk to you about. Please come on in."

"Well what is it?" He asked as he gave her a kiss and came inside. John wondered what it could be. He wasn't aware of anything pressing. " I would come in here any day you would let me. " He smiled kissing her again. It was way to nice to be with Kalia again. Maybe this was a bad idea but then again they didn't mind people getting fresh as long as they were officers or in the same department. So he was good. He smiled and looked at the beautiful woman before him. He was amazed he was lucky enough to have her.

"I'm pregnant .." Kalia basically blurted out. She wasn't very tactical or anything. She didn't even know how to bring up the topic so it kind of just came out. "I don't expect anything from you or anything. I just wanted you to know." The only thing left to do was wait and see how he took all of this.

Pregnant, the word echoed through his skull. It was a possibility with how much fun they had on their trip but he figured she used protection. Well it didn't matter. He loved her. John froze for just a moment before his better senses kicked in. " Well than " He said getting on one knee. He didn't have a ring but it didn't matter. " I love you, So Kalia Vondiranch, will you marry me and be my beloved wife?" He said no questions no cares. He loved her, and well if he was going to be a dad, the kid was going to have a mom and dad in one house. He waited on his knee, and it was the longest moment of silence in his life. It was as if her answer meant the world and it did. This was his most vulnerable moment ever. He didn't know what he would do if she said no. He hoped, prayed to whatever god might listen. That she would say yes. He hadn't ever thought it would take so much out of him. Waiting on one knee for the answer that would affect the rest of his life.

Kalia blinked a little as she took a step back. This was the last thing that she expected for him to do. He had a life, a bright future ahead of himself that she didn't wish to ruin by thrusting him into fatherhood. It was a little late for that now but he didn't have to marry her. She loved him but she didn't want him to marry her because she got knocked up. "Are you sure?" Kalia got down on her knees to his level. "I love you but you don't have to marry me just because of this. I don't want it to because I'm knocked up."

"Yes I am sure. Do you know how hard it is to not be with you every night. Do you know that your smile and your face and the little things you do is all that flash in my mind when I close my eyes. I love you Kalia, I am not doing this because you have our baby. I am thrilled I can't believe I am going to be a father. I am doing this because well I love you and I want our child to have two parents. Truth be told I have a ring in my room. I was trying to work up the nerve to do it. i was hoping by the time I saw you next I had the nerve. So please say yes, I don't think my heart can take no as an answer. " He said as he pulled her and fell backwards, her on top of him now. "please say yes, the waiting is killing me."

"Yes, I'll marry you." Kalia smiled as she leaned in to kiss him. She couldn't believe how lucky she was to have someone like him in her life. The fears she had about everything seemed to just disappear when she was here with him.

He was so glad. " I love you" He said as he kissed her with as much passion as he could muster. He held her tight to him. " um So how long are you going to stay on the ship?" He asked. John was the luckiest man in the world in his mind. He had to stop himself from ravishing her quite yet. " We have so much to plan and do. But well I am happy to do whatever it takes to make you happy. " He said holding her tightly. It had been far too long since he was able to be this close to her. There was no doubt about it. John was crazy for her.

"Well, I do kind of work here now so I can stay for awhile. I would like to stay as long as I can with you. We do have a lot to do but we can take our time. The most important thing in my opinion is the baby and figuring all of that out. I know that if I speak with my father he can help with things." Kalia didn't have much but what she did have she wanted to give and share with him. "Should we get married before or after the baby? It doesn't much matter to me."

" Good hmm I think we should get married whenever works for you, we could do it on our next leave. " He said with a smile kissing her again. " Do you want join quarters? I could explain the situation and get it to happen. I mean we are engaged, Generally they allow us to share quarters and deployments as long as we are agreement to the regulations regarding relationships. Or we can keep separate, I understand if you do. I just thought I could see you more than if we did. " He said with a smile not believing she had said yes and she was pregnant. It was incredible.

"I would be alright with shared quarters if it's not too much of a problem for you. I don't want to get you into any more trouble than what you are." Kalia more than anything wanted to spend time with her husband to be as she was hopelessly loved with him. It was crazy to think that all of this was happening to her. She had seen herself with him but she thought that perhaps that she would have had a bit more time to just date before all of this. "What are their rules regarding relationships and the like? I'm sure that we can follow the rules and behave. I'm already knocked up so what more could happen?"

"We are fine, I will put in the request. I can't believe this is all happening. " He said putting his hand on her stomach. " This is true I suppose we will just have to break in the bed. " he said with a smile as he admired the beautiful and wonderful Kalia. He couldn't believe he was lucky enough to have her. She was everything to him. John was so glad she had said yes, He didn't know what he would of done if she hadn't. @[member="Kalia Walsh"]

"Well, we don't want to interrupt the neighbors. I don't think they wouldn't like that very much." It wasn't as if they could get themselves into any more trouble except getting thrown off the ship which was the last thing she hoped and planned to do. She didn't want to ruin his chances of his career here. She knew how important all of this was to him.

She didn't know how all of this was going to work but somehow she was sure that they would figure it out. In the end it would all work out for the best.

He laughed "Well prepare to move, I am sure they will move us to a more suitable area of the ship once I explain the situation. " John then picked her up and spun her around , letting the moment take them away as he ended it with a kiss and holding her closely. " I love you Kalia and I will do whatever it takes to make sure you and our child are safe and taken care of. But You need to keep being a jedi too, After all I won't be the reason you dropped out. Shall we go get lunch? we can go to the mess and find something I am sure." He hoped it would work, but then again he couldn't let her know he had any doubt. He had to make sure they were provided for.

"I love you too John," she smiled happily kissing him back. Kalia never thought that things would have worked out as wonderfully as they had. Things were perfect and she couldn't be happier even with an accidental baby. It was a blessing in disguise really. "I'll keep up with my studies as it will help me protect our child as well. Soon you can teach him or her to fly a ship." She smiled before kissing him again.

"Lunch sounds wonderful!" She took his hand in hers.

John led her to mess where he greeted and introduced Kalia to a dozen or so men. After they got their food john led them to a table just big enough for the two of them. " So, I figure we pool together our resources and we will be fine. I am an officer and your a jedi. I am sure we can get a place easy." He said smiling, eating some of the food. " I can't believe we are going to have a baby. I am so happy, I just can't believe it. "
