PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS

- Positive Traits:

1. Respectful of competence / Skill
2. Honest
3. Surprisingly humble
4. Calm, Patient
5. Surprisingly caring (towards those closest to him)

- Neutral Traits:

1. Philosophical
2. Witty
3. Passionate
4. Tactical

- Negative Traits:

1. Diabolical (and knows it)
2. Strong desire to dominate and possess
3. Unsympathetic (towards those he doesn't care about)
4. Brash, Impulsive (in some cases)
5. Tyrannical

- Unique Beliefs:

1. Believes the Dark Side is naturally dominant, and acts as a tool to be used in order to take what you desire.
-

2. Believes the Sith need reforming, and that the old ways are too prone to infighting. Supports the idea that all Sith are equal, and should be led by a council of the most powerful / skilled / knowledgeable.
-

3. Believes the Jedi cannot properly experience the force, since they deny themselves the ability to fully comprehend their emotions.
-

4. Believes a Sith should feed on their raw emotion, yet not become blinded by it.
-

5. Believes attachment is a good thing, and naturally enhances your abilities, as you tend to try harder in order to protect those you care about. (Power of friendship lol)
-

6. Believes the rule of 2 was a massive mistake which only served to weaken the Sith. Seeks to pass on his knowledge as much as he can, and train as many Apprentices as possible.
-

7. Wants his students to succeed (and ideally surpass him) in order to ensure the next generation of Sith will prove to be superior than the one before.
-

8. Ideally seeks to establish a Reformed Sith Order from scratch.
-

9. Views non-force sensitives primarily as resources. Will generally just extract tribute from vassal planets, in exchange for not forcing them to levy soldiers, and defending them from external threats. Will use non-force sensitives to fill the gaps in his ranks.
-

10. Doesn't necessarily want to dominate the Galaxy, and is content with whatever he can get, though may push for more depending on context.
Very Opportunistic.
-

11. Believes the Sith Order should have full control over society. There is no room for any other presence within their boundaries, unless it is loyal to / an extension of the Sith.
-

12. Despite being an Evil tyrant, Stedvar isn't particularly cruel (in a malevolent way), unless he believes the situation warrants it. He isn't the type of Sith who would intentionally starve his people. He'd probably tax them a little, but overall he doesn't ruin lives unless he has to.
-

13. Supportive of organize crime, so long as criminal enterprises remain loyal to the Sith. This stems from his childhood as a street rat, and also a belief that it will help breed an environment ripe for support.

Summary:
- Stedvar, quite simply, is evil. He acknowledges this, and doesn't pretend to be anything more. He doesn't use his philosophy as an excuse, rather basing his philosophy off of himself. If you should manage to defeat him, he'll respect your abilities rather than become enraged. Should he defeat you, he will likely offer you a place by his side (if he finds potential in you).
Though he's motivated by his desire to dominate, conquer, and possess... he is also content. He prioritizes his connections, and typically only pursues more when he finds an opportune moment, making him... surprisingly trustworthy for a Sith.

FIGHTING STYLE

- When using a single blade: Makashi (Form II), Shien (Form V), or Juyo (Form VII)
=
- When using both blades: Ataru (Form IV), Makashi (Form II), or Niman (Form VI)

STRENGTHS

  • Skilled in lightsaber combat, can swap between various forms seamlessly depending on the situation
  • Great understanding of force abilities, can utilize them alongside his fighting style for maximum impact
  • Advanced knowledge of Sith Alchemy due to years of study
  • Exceptional leadership skills
  • Surprisingly stealthy despite his size, due to his training

WEAKNESSES

  • Due to his unique nature of connection, some of his abilities require him to be particularly emotional / be able to feed off of his opponent's emotion in order for them to be at maximum effect. (That said, even when his punches are pulled, he's still a threat).
  • Often makes decisions based on principle, even when a better option is present
  • Sometimes too headstrong
  • Sooner to try and recruit his enemies than outright kill them (though it depends on the fight)
  • Ironically, can sometimes be too trusting of someone's he's converted

HISTORY

- Childhood (Up to 13):
Stedvar was born on Daiyu, his parents were out of the picture. He spent his early years as a street rat, fighting to keep him and his little sister alive.
When you spend most of your life on the streets with nobody to help you, having to rely on only one person, it hardens you.
Stedvar became incredibly protective of his sister, and when one night... some drunk idiot shot her point blank with a blaster, after she accidentally got mud on his boots? Well, that man and his drinking buddies were missing their heads afterwards.

Stedvar had known he was attuned with the force, though to him it'd only been a parlor trick, or something he used to get food and credits. The night his sister died awakened a pure seething rage in him that he had never felt before, though it was uncontrolled.
Stedvar retreated internally, planning on giving up, though unbeknownst to him, someone took an interest.

- Indoctrination into the Sith (13 - 20):
A Sith Lord who just so happened to be on Daiyu the night before his sister's death, and confronted him. Stedvar was quickly overpowered, though, the Sith offered him a choice:
1. Continue to live on the streets, and eventually die
or 2., learn how to harness his abilities, and become something more.

Stedvar took the second option, and at the young age of 13 he was already submitting himself to the Dark Side. He never wanted to feel powerless again.
Even on reflection, Stedvar doesn't consider this worth sympathy. His Sister's death wasn't the reason he turned to the Darkside, it simply gave him the means to embrace it.
Despite his origins, he was always just a bad apple.

Stedvar was fortunate enough to be trained by a master who was more... free-spirited in his training techniques. Stedvar would be trained in more than just harnessing his emotions, he would be taught how to control them and use them in tandem with his fighting style. Stedvar's master would also instruct him in how to use Sith Alchemy, doing all of this with the intent of forming Stedvar into the perfect Assassin.

- Sith Assassin (20 - 25):
Stedvar would form a professional bond with his master, despite the customs of the Sith. He would strive to impress him, and would mold himself into the Assassin he was trained to become. Over this period, Stedvar's training was mostly complete, and by age 25 he had becoming quite the formidable opponent, being used to eliminate various targets, wipe out pirate crews, or ransack villages when needed.
His master had planted a seed of free thought into Stedvar, whether he realized it or not, and over time Stedvar began to question if the role of an Assassin is all he wished to be.

So, he strove for more. He would surpass his master, and become an adept in the arts of Sith Alchemy. He would begin to believe that knowledge was just as important as raw power, and that combining the two (as his master had done, and implanted those same ideas within him), a Sith could grow immensely stronger than they ever could've before.
By 25, Stedvar was much more emotionally mature, being far more composed than the street rat he used to be.

- Historical & Philosophical Pursuits (25 - 30):
It was during this time that Stedvar would devote his time to chronicling the Sith, and would thus write: 'The Chronicles of the Sith', a 17 part series of works which covered all of recorded Sith history, utilizing Sith holocrons and ancient records. This took him a ridiculous amount of time, though, he believed it was worth it.
Stedvar wouldn't stop there, and instead would continue to write. He would write various philosophical texts, based around the ideology of the Sith Order, and ultimately why the Sith had the correct understanding of the Force.
More than just that, it would explain the roles of Passion, which is when Stedvar was beginning to be viewed as a heretic.
Despite this, Stedvar would become a Sith Lord around the age of 27.

He had a hunger to write, fueled by an increased understanding he had gained through his studies. He began to realize that the Sith would often fall victim to the same tropes in cycles, though eventually return. This is what would lead him to formulize his philosophy and interpretation of the Sith Code.
It be during this period that Stedvar would receive the title of: 'Darth Ikkon'.

- Exile (30-33):
At around 899 ABY, Stedvar would be exiled for his writing of heretical texts.

Stedvar had begun to encourage connections, rather than viewing every being as simply transactional, believing that through sodality, the Sith could strengthen themselves, and reduce infighting.
To take things a step further, Stedvar had begun to write outright Doctrinal Texts for the Sith, which is when he was forced to leave.
He would openly oppose the idea that a Sith can only train one Apprentice at a time, the idea that connections & other forms of emotion were weak, and most importantly:

He would outright denounce the idea of a Sith Emperor/Empress.
Instead, Stedvar would conclude that the Sith were meant to be equal, united in their shared self-interest against the Jedi, and that they should be led by a council of the most powerful/skilled in order to prevent the Order from collapsing to one ambitious Sith Acolyte.

After his exile, Stedvar would largely disappear, though his writings remaining in his stead.

It is important to remember: Even though these ideas may seem 'good' on a surface level, a deeper inspection of them reveals that Stedvar subscribes to these beliefs because he sees them as a way of ensuring the continued persistence of the Sith, and ultimately, the Order's tyranny. Though he may not be directly malevolent, to consider him 'one of the good ones' would be horribly incorrect.

As of now, Stedvar continues to wander the galaxy, looking for any soul he might be able to indoctrinate as he had been before.

Lately, Stedvar has began operating out of the Slice, traveling crime-ridden worlds and thieves dens, attempting to make a name for himself in the Criminal Underworld as he dabbles.
Stedvar has currently aligned himself with various spice-lords, most notably: He keeps the slaves on Kessel in line, and acts as a valuable enforcer.
In exchange, he is allowed to reside on the world, kept a secret to outside powers.
Stedvar also uses Kessel as a semi-nexus, drawing off of the suffering, pent up anger, agony, and despair. These energies feed his abilities, and assist him in his studies.

Outside of Kessel, Stedvar continues to make dealings with other Criminal factions, while largely focusing on expanding his writings and recruiting potential Apprentices.

    -
  • The Power of Sodality (Bordering on Heretical):
Teaches that Sith should form bonds with one another in order to strengthen themselves.
    -
  • The Truths of Peace & Love (Bordering on Heretical):
Teaches that Peace is subjective, and that Love is something to be sought after.
    -

Explains why the Jedi always fall, since they cannot properly experience or understand the force, due to their self-imposed limitations.

      -

(Expands on 'The Power of Sodality' by including non-Sith)

      -
    • The Importance of the Self:
Explains why you should use the force as a tool to get what you want
      -
    • The Importance of Unity:
Explains why you should put the survival of the Order before yourself, and that without it you can't get what you want. Condemns treachery against the Order, incentivizing its members to work together out of shared selfish desires.
Also says you should train as many people as you can, and doesn't impose a limit for current students.

      -
    • Controlled Chaos:
Explains the importance of not cutting yourself off from your emotions and simultaneously not becoming enslaved to them. Incentivizes coordination between your emotions and your actions, maintaining a balance of both.
      -
    • Equality of the Sith:
Condemns the idea of a definitive Sith Ruler, instead believing that the Sith should instead be led by a 5 person council, and how they should be chosen. The ranks of Sith Lord, Apprentice, and Acolyte remain untouched.
Also bashes on the Rule of 2 again, and bans it from being implemented.

(NOTE: Most of these writings have been scrubbed from the Sith Archives, those that remain are mis-attributed to other authors. Some surviving copies still exist, albeit rare.
The holonet darkweb contains original versions of most of his writings, if you know where to look.)
