Light-imbued gold and force crystals that give Aida a deeper connection to the force, shield her mind from dark-sided attacks, and dampen other dark-sided abilities used against her. The force-imbued metal has a subtle glow, especially visible at night.

The traveling Jedi, Aida Aquila, is not known to carry any weapons, not even a lightsaber. As her duties to the light do place her in potentially dangerous situations, she recognized the need to protect herself. She recalled the name of a metalsmith she had met some years ago, Gerala Glasvyrn, that she had met during her travels. A meeting of fate, some might say.
Aida imbued the white gold with the light-side of the force, working under the guidance of Glasvyrn. It was quite a time consuming task, but it was well worth it — resulting in a powerful light aura that could shield her mind from dark abilities. The imbued gold was made into an amulet that resembles the shape of a star. The addition of small Solari crystals gives Aida a deeper connection to the force, and coupled with the imbued metal, it helps to dampen dark-sided attacks used against her.
The amulet, though quite strong, does not protect against kinetic or physical attacks, blasters, or lightsabers. In any situation where the force is negated, it will cease to provide any boost or benefit. The effects of the amulet only benefit the wearer -- if Aida would like to pass the protection against darkside attacks to someone else, she will need to give up the amulet and leave herself vulnerable.
