DESCRIPTION
Standard Coaxium is the Galaxy’s foremost supplier of Coaxium. It is also the Galaxy’s only significant supplier of Coaxium. This is thanks to its monopoly of both the Kessel Coaxium Mines, and the Coaxium Refineries. This naturally makes the company incredibly important to the Galactic economy, and it could be considered a minor NGO superpower, if it weren’t for the fact that it is controlled by the Pyke Syndicate.

Standard Coaxium is naturally the target of a great deal of envy from others. Sometimes, this leads to pirate attacks on Standard Coaxium transports. However, thanks to its protection by the Pyke Syndicate, these attacks are almost never successful. Additionally, Standard Coaxium has a garrison of troops who answer exclusively to it. These troops are mostly Pykes, but also include members of other species.

Unlike its parent company, Standard Coaxium engages in minimal criminal activity. In fact, it is often considered to be the cleanest branch of the Pyke Syndicate’s metaphorical tree. This is not to say that Standard Coaxium is saintly by any means. They have been known to make rather suspicious deals with certain politicians, and aren’t opposed to selling Coaxium to the Sith Order.

RATIONALE
Karpel Excaan founded Standard Coaxium. When he first started it, it consisted of merely a single mine, and a transport shuttle. This did not last long. He grew it to the size that it is today by using vertical integration to start selling Coaxium at prices far lower than any of his competitors. He also ensured the company’s success by making sure it became the Pyke Syndicate’s official Coaxium branch.
