Description: Stalgasin Spaceport contains three concourses, each of which is topped by a spire, which serves as a control tower for the concourse. The gate at each concourse is designed for use by smaller ships up to picket corvette-sized: there are twenty such gates on each level of a concourse. Stalgasin Spaceport overlooks a cliff below; in the plain next to the terminal buildings, larger ships up to 500 meters long can land in that area. Unfortunately, its location close to heavily populated areas in the ancestral Geonosian regions puts a straitjacket on how large the spaceport could become. It is named Stalgasin Spaceport because it is located within the Stalgasin Hive's ancestral territory. Nevertheless, Star Tours is given authorization to operate out of this spaceport.
History: By 240 ABY, when it became clear to the Geonosian Hives of that era, borne out of fertile queens stashed off-world by Separatist holdouts at the end of the Clone Wars, that the reconstruction efforts required to restore Geonosis to even a fraction of its Clone Wars-era glory would necessitate proper spaceport infrastructure, the Geonosians set out to rebuild the spaceports destroyed during the Sterilization of Geonosis. As a result, the spaceport was designed for what was considered at the time as room to grow, perhaps a century in the future or so. But it became apparent by 310 ABY that the spaceport was built too small for their pre-Gulag needs, as the Geonosian population recovers. Further expansion is halted by the Gulag Plague, with maintenance being the only Geonosian concern as far as this spaceport is concerned.
