The 8th Noble
A brisk morning breeze rolled over the market. All around them people were still in the process of waking up. They were setting up their stalls, unfurling marquee's, propping up the signs on their stalls. Office and service workers alike hurriedly crossed the plaza in all directions. Last night's rainfall had given way for the morning's sun and a thin layer of fog rose from the dissipating puddles all over town.
"This was the place." Colette muttered and put her hands on her hips. "One of these stalls is the one."
The brief for today's assignment had mentioned that a new stall in the plaza had been flagged as suspicious after several clients had fallen sick after having interacted with the goods. Embedded in the attachments was a complete list of registered stall owners that were important to check out as well as the names of a few witnesses that had handed in reports to the local authorities.
Usually this would have been something for them to handle, but resources had been spread a little too thin this week due to a dignitary event in one of the nearby towns. Colette was no stranger to investigations, and she gladly took any chance she could to help others out.
On her way out she had picked a random candidate from a list of volunteers. The most prominent name? Toby Perris. Someone with a similar name had quite possibly saved her life on Tython, and part of her couldn't deny that she was curious of their bonds. Brothers, perhaps?
She turned on her heel to look at her deputy.
"Any preferences?" She asked and rolled her shoulder. "Witnesses or stalls?"
"The symptoms of those affected mentioned something very similar to poison. Nausea, illness, and dizziness. Way I figure is that the sooner we get to work, the sooner we'll get to the bottom of all this."
