The Planet of Belkadan has been ruled by foreign powers for quite a long time with the first recorded occupation by the Ancient Rakata Empire in 30,000 BBY until they abandoned the planet with the collapse of their dominion. The second of these occupations was the Sith Empire who overthrew the government of the planet and installed a puppet organization answering only to their tyrannical rule. Millennia later, the world was absorbed by the Yuuzhan Vong Empire as they entered into the known galaxy; building a shipyard in high orbit for their campaign against the New Republic. Now the planet is free from both galactic affairs which has isolated it; turning it into a breeding ground for monsters of the worse sorts.

The Drengir, a plant like species from the Wild Space Planet of Mulita. Long thought mostly extinct from the galaxy with a few isolated pockets remaining on long forgotten worlds. Now they wade through the swamps and rainforests of the world; spreading their terrible dark roots further and further into nearby settlements that had remained from the unforgiving vong occupation so long ago. Entire communities have been swallowed up by the Drengir as they make their way across each and every terrain. Feasting ever intently on the various planets, settlers and animals that call this planet home. With each new meal swallowed up by the ever hungry maws, the dark side of the force grows and grows as plant life begins to wither.

Among these small group of Drengir, lay the most potent father among them in the form of Daghishat; He Who Leaches. a grotesque creature, born from a distinct past and fueled by the dark side of the force, is a sight that would send shivers down the spines of the bravest souls. With mottled green roots, covered in slimy moss and oozing with foul smelling scent, this Drengir embodies the very essence of repugnance. Its hulking form towers above the reeds and cattails, leaving a single path of destruction in its eternal search for food. Weaving in and out of the trees with its long tangled arms dripping with poisons of the most potent source.

The immense presence of death and decay would surely attract the champions of light to its domain.
