Forthcoming Storms

Byss, blue green sunlight covered a world seeped in the darkside, there was no planet that had been twisted more by the force’s energies than this particular world, all the sorcery undergone here had forever changed the landscape. It was the one true place you could feel the pull of it without even thinking, without even breathing.

As the 769th heavy walker stomped its way forward toward the compound, Kylath hung on to a railing above his head, wearing the 769th’s familiar white trooper armor, with his helmet clipped to his belt. He looked over to [member="Kunsumi"], brushing the hair out of his face and getting himself into the zone, steadying his breathing, training was taking over. The change coming over the young zeltrix, half Epicanthix, half Zeltron was pronounced.

“I know you prefer stealth,” handing over a cloaking field to the woman, a belted one to clip around her waist, showing that he had the same, “but this is the fastest way in today.” Raising his voice over the din of the large stomping legs, each stride was carrying them great distances forward.

Though walkers moved slowly, they made a heck of a noise, a noise the 769th were hoping to use to distract the former blue sun splinter group, while they slipped inside and disabled their defences. FFE the weapon company had fractured since [member="Goros the Hutt"]'s disappearance, but their stockpiles of weapons and goods hadn’t, meaning several parties were after them, wrestling control for their former owners, and Kylath was one of them. He’d gotten the go ahead to take the facility, and if he did well, run his share of it. [member="Kunsumi"] had wanted ships, weapons and needed her own equipment, which might prove a perfect partnership if she wanted it.

"700 meters to target. Ready to deploy stealth squad." Which meant them! [member="Kunsumi"] . Kylath readied his harness over the side of the great walking machine, getting ready to deploy. "Here goes nothing."

Her eyes lied shut, figure placed above a hulking walker in a meditative positioning. Vineech's negative energies festered, building and accumulating for the impending battle. She reveled in the world's force enveloped in the darkside, breaking concentration only to her companion's words. With her own calmed breaths, she lifted herself, dramatically revealing both crimson hues to the field before her. "Appreciated," she spoke, accepting the belted device and lacing it around her figure securely. This was her opportunity to ascend, to grow in both power, authority and influence.

Her saber's hilt was equipped to the belt, head nodding to the commanding voice indicating the battle's 'thumbs up' for commencing. "Then it'll just have to do, won't it?" She responded to his remark on stealth, simultaneously latching her harness and whisking its cable down the length of the Technological Behemoth. "You'd do well to remember why I'm here, Kylath. Failure is not an option." She prepped herself for the leap downward, nodding toward Kylath after the 'go' was given to the Stealth Squad.

"Let's kark some sh*t up, hmm?"

Here we go!

“You say the sweetest things,” Kylath’s grin locking across his jaw. Letting loose the guiding rope, and abseiling freefall out of the huge metal beast, the scanners of the compound would have registered the walkers approach, but this far out the small stealth squad hit ground without much fuss, only one of them taking a bruise to some rocks below from strong cross winds which buffeted them about.

Walking slowly but loudly making its approaching ahead and to the side of them, their metal transport would go one way and leave them able to go freely the other. Adjusting a free eyepiece to better read what was ahead, over their terrain Kylath brought a tactical map of the facility up to his right eye to more clearly see what was unfolding.

Kunsumi had a commanding tone, for a moment he’d had to check she wasn’t a Sith Lord in her insignia, truth be told the young halfblood Zeltron and Epicanthix followed strong clarity. Dropping to ground, he only paid her a glance, but it was a glance that said perhaps he’d follow if the other acolyte took charge, then again perhaps not, because Kylath was still impulsive and in the prime of his youth.

“Squad check.”

So they called out that they’d made it, stealth fields shimmering on and ready to go. Kylath’s breathing in his helmet heavy as he moved with a purpose, hopping over rocks and rounding alcoves at a run. The firing starting off in the distance against the compounds shields was drawing all the noise, hopefully enough for them to slip inside unnoticed but you never could really tell.

They reached the outer edge of the shield, should be able to pass slowly, but a huge metal fence stood in their way.

The female Assassin's feet met ground, harness detached and a momentary gaze offered toward their advancing technological hulk. ".. Hmmph." One day, it would be her to whom such great feats of technology would adhere and return to. "Touchdown," She shouted briefly to indicate her successful landing. Lacking Kylath's eyepiece, she followed swiftly behind their Stealth Squad's advance forward, clicking her own stealth field into activation and encompassing herself in its illusive properties. "It's been a while since I've used one of these. To be unable to seen by what you can see. Beautiful. It truly is." She managed a faint grin, her brief moment of joy altered into anger as the Stealth Squad met the 'huge metal fence'.

She stood before it, looking from left to right. The assassin withdrew a hilt, two in fact. Lowering each to opposing ends of her slender form, beams of red erected from the corresponding light-saber hilts. Her teeth would grit, a brief slash made in an rainbow pattern along the metal field, only faint whizzes and sparks left in their graceful wake. Both sabers acted as if one, effectively melting an opening for the Stealth Squad.

"Knock, Knock." She mused.

With her lightsabers returned to her hip, she thrusted a swift palm forward, bending the force to her will. The fence blew open, a man-sized portion of it atleast. Forcing herself through, she looked from left to right. Should the coast be clear, she'd motion her hand for the remainder of the Stealth Squad to proceed forward. "Our boys could do without this annoying ass shield. Bring it down. Silently, and swiftly." She certainly wasn't a Sith Lord, or a tactical soldier, but from her dialect alone it'd be hard to guess.

Hmm’ing under his breath, he had to start thinking like a Sith not a soldier, he could have had his saber out already staving off any delay because she cut it like butter, unbroken footing, while he had paused.

“Nice.” Ky said, entering through her breach, and nodding as she gave the call to disable the shield. He wasn't feeling rancor or Sith tendencies enough to question an order, military training kicking in as she gave it, one day he'd question them, but for now the soldier was in him still.

Stealthed and ready, spotting an approaching form on his visor readout, Kylath whistled and moved off, hugging the side of the structure. Unlike his half brothers stealth and finesse were his namesakes. One step closer he put his gun on the ground, and crouched low, as soon as the unfortunate man stepped one step too far, his saber was pierced upward through the invisible field, a clean precise hit that gave no quarter to the victim. Gun back in his hand in a heartbeat, the Acolyte continued on, disengaging the saber to move freely with his scope out ahead.

Entry inward:

Couldn’t hear anything in the entry corridor, the guards had moved off distracted. His visor showed nothing, Kylath reached out with his force senses last of all, something that should have come first, because he had a feeling of danger, they’d almost tripped a laser mine! “Feet,” Kylath nodded toward the ground, taking a canister to spray what looked to be a coating of lingering smoke outward, to highlight the once invisible laser grid, now visible for them to cross at their peril, just one more challenge to their infiltration! "Any ideas?"

Behind them the walker was drawing off the guards and taking fire. This heavier assault unit was fitted with point defense lasers shooting down missiles, and shields of its own, taking a real pounding if the loud pings off the matter shield were anything to go by, but at least holding its own for now, not needing to waste any soldiers in the distraction yet.

She tagged behind Kylath swiftly whilst they entered, pausing before the exposed laser grid. "poodoo..," She hissed. Observing the patterns whilst others contemplated a plan, she began to step back, removing her lightsabers and tossing them towards Kylath. "Hold these." Her tight-fitting latex suit stretched accordingly as she took stance, preparing herself. Both eyes shut, an unnerving force enveloping her suddenly. Her force senses were encased about her being, utilized as eyes for her upcoming feat. Suddenly, she broke off into a sprint, leaping into the air, contorting her body in a spiral to barely glide past the initial band of lasers. The force would aid in her mentally mapping out her surroundings, and reacting to their locations. Vineech would land, only her right leg touching the ground. With the single leg, she utilizied force speed to perform a series of front-flips and cartwheels to breeze past the defenses.

In actuality, however, her heart was racing. This was dangerous. After bipassing said defenses, she noticed a door opening, a patrolling guard walking out. He barely lifted his gun at the sight of the swiftly approaching Vineech, her left arm used to brutally bash the gun to the right, right arm used to grip his throat whilst driving him back into the wall. His gun dropped, his body lifting against the wall. "You will de-activate this laser grid.." He looked at her, a sudden influential wave overcoming him. "I .. n-..no, HEL-" -- She rammed his form against the wall. "You .. will deactivate .. this laser grid." He gazed into her eyes, gulping. "I ..will deactivate the laser grid." He was put on his foot, walking to the command console nearby the door's entrance. A series of codes were punched in, the lasers notably lowering.

"How sweet of you.." She smiled briefly, placing a shoulder whilst her free hand attracted one of her curved hilt sabers from Kylath like a magnet. With the guard's back turned, she placed the hilt against his body and erected the lightsaber, lifting it to split whatever lied beneath in half. She looked back towards her team from her peripherals, "Now then .. Shall we proceed?"
