Lord Seer of Korriban & Professor of Kor’ethyr
SPIRIT GUARDIANS
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
- Intent: To provide clear information about the kind of NPCs summoned by the "Altare De Campio" and provide some Sithspawn mobs to act as fun opposition or environmental backdrop in RP
- Image Credit: Nightengale videogame, Eduardo Commettant on Artstation, StockCake
- Role: These mobs are summoned through ritual sacrifice using an altar created with natural materials and Sith sorcery
- Permissions: N/A
- References: Inspired by the tales of the Golem & Genus Loci
- Mob or Pack Name: Spirit Guardians
- Affiliation: These beings are loyal to the land, ship or structure they are summoned to. They will not become aggressive toward the rightful inhabitants of the place they are summoned into but will act with aggression toward all others
- Classification: Sithspawn mob
- Description: These creatures are eerie and bestial. They are formed in resemblance to that which is sacrificed to create them, their surroundings, and those who summon them.
- Unit Size: Medium to Large depending on the size of the ritual or sacrifice conducted to raise them
- Unit Availability: Rare to Uncommon given that these being require a fairly limited artifact to summon them
- Unit Experience: Rabble given that these are wild Sithspawn with raw aggression and only bestial combat skills
- Equipment: None, they are equipped with natural weapons like claws, teeth, antlers, hooves, horns, and so on. Humanoid members of the mob can however take up simple weapons and wield them with the most basic proficiency, so long as simple weapons are provided to them
- Combat Function: These creatures have the same skillset as very strong and angry wild animals. They are not particularly intelligent nor cunning when it comes to combat tactics. Their power lies in sheer numbers and overwhelming, feral ferocity
- Force Abilities (Force User Units Only): N/A
- Untamed Ferocity — The beings created by these altars are single minded and aggressive regarding the defense of their homes. These beasts are loyal to the surrounding environment they are summoned into and care only to protect the rightful owners or inhabitants of those places. All else will be treated with unbridled violence
- A Whole Greater than the Parts — Summoned guardians & champions will take on characteristics and features of the sacrifices made to summon them. Organic material used with an altar set in a lush environment will give way to creatures that reflect their surroundings. This technology also strengthens and enhances the beings so that they are somewhat stronger, faster, and fiercer than whatever was initially sacrificed to summon them
- Imprinted Warriors — summoned guardians & champions cannot stray too far from the place of their creation. If they are summoned planet-side somewhere, they must remain within a handful of miles of their spawn point. If they are summoned upon a ship or within a structure of some kind, they are limited remaining within a few hundred yards of the ship or building of their origin
- Wild Rabble — these beasts and spirits are incredibly ferocious but they lack significant intelligence or sense of strategy
After the events and subsequent discoveries made by A'Mia and Alisteri during the Great Hunt, the neti made it her mission to recreate and perfect an ancient magic they'd found buried deep in the woods. After a manic burst of inspiration and countless hours reverse engineering the original shrine, A'Mia summoned her trusted friends Revna and Darth Strosius to participate in the final test of the invention. The first half dozen or so were built on Brosi to work in harmony with the ecosystem there.
Example of a guardian summoned purely with spiritual/ energetic sacrifice
