Intent: To Create A Species

GENERAL INFORMATION

Name: Az'al Mo'or

Designation: Sentient

Homeworld: Hollastin

Language: Kr'ulish, Galactic Basic, Huttese

Average Lifespan: 150 years

Estimated Population: Planetary

Description: [Provide a short paragraph that describes this species at a glance. More in-depth descriptions can be added in distinctions below.]

PHYSICAL INFORMATION

Breathes: Type I

Average height of adults:

Males: 2.67 meters
Females: 2 meters

Average length of adults: N/A

Skin color:

Males: Light Gray
Females: Dark Gray

Hair color: N/A

Distinctions:

Outside the height difference, the species have long elongated arms with three long clawed tip fingers and two shorter clawed fingers on the outside of the hand. The claws are riddled with bacteria that can infect wounds disallowing healing while poisoning bloodstreams. They have slender bodies and and average muscle mass.

Their face is sunken in with black eyes that appear hollow, but are actually encased in a black membrane. The nose on the face is snout-like with oversized nostrils. Their mouths are small and posses no teeth. A highly acidic enzyme inside their mouth breaks down food in rapid fashion allowing them to "drink" their food.

The only notable difference between the males and females is the slight height difference and the skin color. Males are light gray while the females are a darker shade of gray. As the species begin to age, there is no notable difference.

Races: N/A

Strengths:

Force Dead: The species is absent in the Force, marking those capable of using the Force unable to detect their presence.

Infrared Sight: The species sees through infrared sight allowing them to see through heat and light waves.

Generates Radiation: As a defense mechanism, the species can emit harmful radiation from the pores in their skin. The radiation can cause radiation sickness in those infected and for those exposed to long bouts of the radiation can die instantaneously.

Weaknesses:

Weak Endoskeleton: Their skeleton system is poorly constructed, making it easy for bones to break and shatter.

Vulnerable To Bright Lights: Despite seeing through an infrared spectrum, high concentration of lights (directly or indirectly) literally blinds them; and at times makes them dizzy and nauseous.

Absence of Coagulation: The species lack the proper components (platelets and plasma) in their blood that allows for the clotting of blood to stop the bleeding of an injury. Though not a certainty, the species could actually bleed to death from a simple wound.

CULTURE

Diet:

Nutritional Value: Red Meat, Plants, Vegggies
Poisonous: Fish

Communication: Speech

Technology level: On par with the galaxy

Religion/Beliefs: N/A

General behavior:

The species, despite their war like nature, are religious builders and inventors; though half of their creations are intended for war. The species live in independent tribes, with each tribe responsible for the preservation of their own survival. Due to their warring nature, the tribes often fight among one another in an attempt to assimilate one tribe into the other.

They view outsiders as a threat, though the planet they inhabit is scarcely populated, and will hunt down and kill any intruders caught in their territory; which each tribe considers sacred. However, there has been cases where individual tribes have traded with outsiders; and its these tribes that are looked upon by the others as heretics and traitors.

In terms of mating, males and females are paired up long enough to attempt to conceive offspring. After which the ritual is completed, there is no other contact such as family life. They breed only for survival of the species. Because of this, incest occurs frequently. However, any newborn with visible birth defects are immediately killed.

The species, despite being sentient, are not intelligent. Outside their building and inventing characteristics, they hold no measure of education for the exception of war knowledge.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

For the greater part of their existence, they warred with the Hutts while at times forced into slavery or labor camps by the Hutts when they ruled the planet of Hollastin. When the Hutts left the planet behind, the species thrived and became the apex species of the planet; even though the planet was nothing more than a small trading world with little to no contact with the galaxy for the exception of the various trading outposts on the planet.

Throughout the period where the Hutts had abandoned the planet, the species began to experience an influx in their population all throughout the independent tribes. As their numbers swelled, so did their bravery as they began to attack outsiders, taking and learning more about technology other than what the Hutts allowed them, Some of the tribes even grew more technological advanced through trading with outsiders and the outposts.

Over time, the tribes began to build small little towns or villages across the planet; each operated independently and ruled by war chief. Since the species knew nothing of government, war chiefs were forced to fight challengers for their right to rule; the trial by combat fought to the death.

The Gulag Plague

The species survived the outbreak, but their numbers had dipped dramatically. The planet and the species would have survived the outbreak if not for the Hutts, who absentmindedly brought the virus to Hollastin. Without proper knowledge of medicine, and with their long standing conflicts with the Hutts, the virus ran rampant through the tribes.

Once the threat was over, a population boom exploded across the tribes, and in two years their numbers grew to staggering heights.

Netherworld Event

The species, surprisingly, survived the event where the galaxy saw some many of it's citizens disappear. The species, who discovered ghost town outposts, were confused by the disappearance of the outsiders. However, the outsiders had 'magically' returned with some going as far as to try and create cities in their sacred lands. Those that attempted these projects where slaughtered relentlessly.
