Spitfire Soul, Heart of Gold
OVERALL FEATURES
- Three crystals that are three parts of one whole, essentially triplets.
- Crystals can be attuned individually or used in harmony with the other two for unique synergy.
- Each crystal has it's own set of features, strengths, and weaknesses, but are aplified in close proximity to one another.
- Orange crystals that produce blades with orange hues that shift slightly differently for each crystal.
Spark: Pale, flickering orange (almost golden).
Inferno: Bright, steady blaze orange.
Ember: Deep, smoldering orange with more dark terracotta colored flashes.
SPARK
SPECIAL FEATURES- Resonates strongly with the history and origins of the Force user.
- Can momentarily enhance the user's reflexes by drawing upon ancestral knowledge. Slightly enhances memory recall and insight into past events.
- Light the Torch: Heightened awareness of combat patterns based on historical fighting styles learned or seen by the user.
- Strength of Kindling: Improves the wielder's ability to perform and adapt ancient combat forms and techniques.
- Stoke the Flames: Emits bursts of kinetic force, adding a subtle impact shock to strikes.
- Burn Bright, Fade Fast: Bursts of kinetic energy consume more energy, slightly draining the user's stamina faster.
- Memory Lapse: Effects are vulnerable to Force users who manipulate minds or use illusions, as it is tied strongly to fixed historical truths.
- Force-nullification Fields: The crystal's unique properties are nullified in areas devoid of the Force, rendering it an ordinary kyber crystal.
INFERNO
SPECIAL FEATURES- Makes a light, perfectly balanced blade; emotional feedback is heightened, aligning with the wielder's will in real-time.
- Generates a subtle Force aura that sharpens presence and charisma, boosting morale of allies as well as the chances to be able to talk an opponent away from the fight entirely.
- Fire and Fury: Weapon it's placed in feels lighter in hand; energy flows smoothly, ideal for Ataru and Niman practitioners.
- Light in the Dark: Boosts user stamina and energy regeneration during combat.
- Battle Focus: Anchors the user's mind in the moment, helping to reducing susceptibility to confusion, illusions, or Force-based distractions.
- Spitefire's Folly: Its intense energy can overwhelm users unprepared for the psychological and physical pressure of constant high stakes.
- A Blaze Without Oxygen: Effects are less effective in isolating environments where the wielder is cut off from people or life energy.
- Force-nullification Fields: The crystal's unique properties are nullified in areas devoid of the Force, rendering it an ordinary kyber crystal.
EMBER
SPECIAL FEATURES- Absorbs surrounding ambient dark energy to help cleanse and provide power for other strengths.
- Can phase slightly, allowing brief moments of incorporeality in the Force (ghost-like presence).
- Smoke Remains: Allows brief Force-phase shifts, enabling dodges or surprise attacks.
- Glowing Beacon: When faced with darkness, grants a limited ability to disrupt enemy energy or force, weakening opponents gradually over time.
- Smoldering Through Time: Its steady, persistent flame excels in drawn-out battles, outlasting more volatile opponents.
- Rest and Recharge: Absorption of dark energy can have a hefty toll on the crystal depending in the strength and quantity, slowly dampening it's effects over time and making it need to properly 'heal' after use before it is at full strength again.
- Heavier in Hand: Feels more weighted than normal, mirroring the emotional and temporal gravity it holds with use.
- Force-nullification Fields: The crystal's unique properties are nullified in areas devoid of the Force, rendering it an ordinary kyber crystal.
DESCRIPTION
Gained on Illum during Azurine's crystal trial, these three crystals are all parts of what was once a single crystal and a mirror of the many natures of flame that are the core of her soul. In the heart of the cave, Azurine encountered not just the luminous call of a crystal, but a manifestation of her deepest grief, regrets, and loss. She had to learn to begin to reconcile her pain or forever be locked to a past that no longer existed. In doing so, the call would be answered and the crystals manifested were pulled forth of her burning heart of hope, creativity, and determination to be a beacon for not just herself but for others as well.
Despite the ice-covered world that they came from, they are forged of heat and memory. Each crystal represents a distinct phase of the cycle: Spark looks forward with hopeful energy and creative impulse, Inferno blazes in the present with the fire of life and action, and Ember smolders with memory, loss, and the wisdom of experience.
Open to feedback as I work on it!
