Briana's fingers deftly danced across the console, keying in coordinates to chart her course to a world she'd never heard of, cerulean eyes lifting momentarily to soak in the endlessness of space sitting beyond her viewport before the Vere dove headfirst into a hypnotizing fray of azure haze and radiant starlight, the growing pressure of sublight acceleration pushing her back into her seat. A wistful sigh escaped her lips once she'd successfully made the jump into hyperspace, inky lashes fluttering down to rest against the tops of her bronzed cheeks as she brushed an errant curl away from where it had fallen despondently across her face, settling in as darkness enveloped the ship, intending to snatch a short rest during the hyperspace flight.

It'd all started with a message she'd received early that day — well, not her, but her mother. Though, she supposed as her mother's beneficiary, that archaic holopad – and its missives - now belonged to her.

Communications for her mother were no rarity; though only esteemed acquaintances and friends held the code for contacting that particular device. Decrypting the message had demanded both the afternoon and the help of SID-10S "Sid" SID-10S "Sid" , since Briana's own expertise lay more amidst gears and machinery than intricate technology. However, once deciphered, the contents left the young Sal-Soren puzzled. Briana had always assumed she was privy to every aspect of her mother's life, but here she was, faced with an urgent plea from some unheard-of individual by the name of Arekk.

The impulse to delete the message and hide the device in the furthest recesses of some dusty drawer was a briefly considered option, dreading that she might have unearthed another nefarious family truth. The burden of her father's transgressions loomed heavily enough; tarnishing the immaculate memory of her mother would be too crushing for anyone in her family to bear. Though, as a Jedi, duty-bound to aid those in need, Briana knew she could not simply disregard a potentially sincere cry for help. As much as she wished she could simply turn a blind eye. Thus, here she was.

How much time passed or how long she slept from the moment her eyes closed until she was yanked out of hyperspace, Briana couldn't say. Though, the blaring of the proximity alarms alerting her to her destination made her feel like it wasn't nearly long enough. Squinting bleary eyed out the viewport from this distance, the world looked eerily similar to Coruscant, though it seemed to be covered in undulating layers akin to snow-white clouds reminiscent of the storm-battered world Eadu. Intrigue and uncertainty nudged at the back of Briana's mind, preparing to pierce the atmosphere and land down on this mysterious world that couldn't be found on any star maps.
