Strengths:
  • Gale Speeds – As should be a necessity with a transportation shuttle, the Sovereign Multi-Purpose is a moderately fast vessel, it's speeds able to edge out it's presumptive escort vessels such as the S-Wings, if a landing zone is considered hot.
  • Multi-Role Capability – Whether it’s to serve as an essential gunship/dropship-hybrid providing fire for it’s troop transport or serving as a transportation vessel for a person of special interest, the Phi Shuttle possesses many capabilities. In addition, like it’s S-Wing cousin, the Sovereign Multi-Purpose is easily modifiable, to make it suitable for a wide variety of operations given the correct resources.
Weaknesses:
  • Low Maneuverability – Although the Sovereign Multi-Role possesses a multitude of capabilities, high maneuverability is not one of them. This is largely due to the large-size of the ship for that of an equivocal starfighter, and it being a transport shuttle, and not being able to perform complicated maneuvers due to the passengers on board and the wide frame in comparison to the rest of the dimensions on the ship.
  • Skill Recommended – As noted from some of the more experienced test pilots from some of the prototypes, the Phi-Class is somewhat difficult to pilot, since the ship is moderately fast but also possesses moderately poor maneuverability, as such, an increased amount of foresight in piloting the vessel is required for making runs or landing.
Description: In the Sovereign Navy’s original engineering and design plans, there was the necessity for both a shuttle for special personnel, as well as a ship intended for troop transport. Simply melding the two together is an easier, smarter, more fiscally-minded idea, as was done with the Sovereignty Navy and the Lambda-Class Shuttle that was used by the Galactic Empire. The Sovereign Navy follows a similar doctrine of ship design for its main transport shuttle. However, the shuttle possesses a particular drawback with a wide turning radius as a result of it being both a troop transport responsible for the well-being of it's passengers, and it having a wide frame in comparison to it's height and length. The shuttle is, however, at least moderately fast, which instigates a difficulty with piloting the vessel, due to it's faster speeds and poorer maneuverability. Like it's S-Wing cousin, the Sovereign Multi-Purpose is easily modified, making it suitable for a wide of operations given the correct resources.

Height: Variable
What's the lowest and maximum height of this in meters?

The ratings for this are a bit high, considering that a mass production ship starts with all ratings at "average". For a mass produced vessel, this should drop around 3 ratings. I'm open to which ratings you'd like to take these from.

Squadron Count: 8
This is a little high. If we can consider that the average starfighter squadron consists of twelve 12.5 meter long starfighters, a squadron contains about 150 meters worth of ships. Using the largest dimension of this ship, we get 5.55 Sovereign Multi-Purpose Transports in a squadron.

I obviously don't expect anyone to fly half a ship though.

You can move the squadron size up to 6 or down to 5. I'll give you a bit more leeway with features and ratings if the squadron size is 5 to make up for the lost of the half ship.

Very well.

The height of the vessel has been changed from 'variable' to seven meters in height. 'Variable', was meant to infer between the landing systems being engaged in port and the ship being flown. Forget all of that old nonsense about it being variable in height. It is obviously going to be subjective to the landing systems being engaged anyway, and is mostly cluttering.

The ratings have also been adjusted accordingly, with myself subtracting precisely three ranks from each as you've requested. The 'high' armament has been readjusted to 'standard', as well as the defenses. The maneuverability and speed ratings remain the same as before. The description and the strengths and weaknesses sections have been adapted in according to these changes.

In addition, the squadron count has also been brought down to six.

[member="Zedd Harkor"], this looks solid now.

This is a bit of a semantic issue (since I'm pretty sure I know what you mean), but there is no rating of "standard". I'm guessing that "standard" is supposed to be "average"?
