Strengths:

• Jack of All Trades – Serving the Sovereign Navy as a medium cruiser, the Obtruder-Class Medium Cruiser was designed to be the quintessential jack of all trades for the various cruisers of the Sovereignty.

Weaknesses:

• Master of None – The Obtruder-Class Medium Cruiser, although solid, possesses no outstanding characteristics, and is simply well-rounded. As such, this can be exploited, given the proper fleet of any kind.

Description:

Following several successful skirmishes over the marauding Draxite-Pirate fleets in the system of Eadu, the Sovereign Navy opted to – instead of outsourcing to other companies for the bulk of their fleet – to instead create and establish a mainstay cruiser vessel, the Obtruder-Class Medium Cruiser, for the sake of stability and security, for the Sovereign Navy, as was contracted by The Sovereignty to Barabian Systems, to see its design fulfilled. Although it possesses no outstanding capabilities, the Obtruder-Class Medium Cruiser of the Sovereignty, is certainly the jack of all trades when it comes to engaging vessels at the cruiser-level and lower. Equipped with an array of modestly-minded electronic warfare systems and threefold hangars, the Obtruder-Class gives no quarter to those that mean the Sovereignty maliciously, as is done so as a means of preventing attempts at bombing runs and slicing-attacks. This is intended so with the idea of keeping well-rounded, rather than it being easily-exploitable. As per it's standard features, the Obtruder-Class is equipped with an ion drive, hazard and damage control systems, life support systems, navigational systems, sensors and targeting systems, communications systems, environmental control systems for monitoring gravity, tractor beam systems, escape pods, and a holo-net transceiver and encryption/decryption networks that're implied so with the vessel's electronic warfare capabilities.

Pretty standard, which obviously is your intention. There is a slight matter of your defense section having the Anti Missile Octets and Point Defense cannons in it, those need to be moved up to your armament section quick. Nothing too hard. Always appreciated a ship with a story behind it as it makes me curious as to the thread you built this craft's reputation in, and is worth a look later when I have time. The last bit (due to your faction still being Minor) for this to be mass produced it must be a 500m ship. If I am not wrong, I might suggest you set it at Minor Production for now.

Other than that, I think this is more than ready. Nice to see a wholly average ship for once.

With the permission of [member="Varik Ice"], I've opted to replace the manufacturer as; "The Sovereignty", to, "Barabian Systems", a tier-3 company instead of a minor faction. This way, the ship can continue at mass-production. It was my initial intention to do this, but I made a mistake it seems. If you wish for him to post here indicating that he has indeed given me permission or for you to otherwise pm him, I'm sure he wouldn't mind. As requested, I've also transferred the anti-missile octets and point-defense cannons to the armament section.

With that done, I do not see anything else that catches my eye. Interested to someday face this even if I get the chance.
