Location: Jedi Temple on Coruscant
Time: 1 pm

Since the announcement had been made that there was going to be a “Combat specialist” from the Silver Jedi Order would be at the temple that day for a special lesson on lightsaber combat the sign up sheet for the class had filled up in less than an hour . Lon didn’t consider himself to be a “specialist” by any means. Sure he was skilled at lightsaber combat but he did not feel super confident with the other forms he stuck to what he was strongest with; Soresu. Lon just had to make sure what he was going to teach was simple enough to grasp but also prove useful in an actual combat situation. The regular instructor had allowed him to use the remotes and the courtyard for lesson. If the class was as big as he was thinking it was going to be he need all the space he could get.

As the time grew closer the atmosphere began to change and the air began to hum with both excitement and nervousness. He was used to the number of stares he received from the students and occasionally the staff given his relatively young age of 20 standard galactic years and have so many accomplishments under his belt as they filled out the courtyard. It happened all the time when he did show up at temple. As the chatter from the lunch hour began to die down and the students began to sit he glanced over at the instructor who then activated the practice remotes he thumbed the switch his lightsaber as the remotes began to circle around him which began to fire blaster bolts at him in rapid succession.

Doing what he had done many times before Lon went through a basic Soresu Kata that all younglings were taught when they first entered the temple he added a few advanced modifications that he was to surprise the students, surely enough it did, causing the student’s eyes to spark with awe.

Lon began to chuckle “Glad to see that you guys were paying attention. I am Lon Vondon I am the combat specialist from the Silver Jedi Order I will be your instructor for todays lesson. Would anyone care to tell me what lightsaber form that was?”

Immediately a bunch of hands flew up in the air, scanning their eager faces and picked one at random

“Yes, person in the back row?”

In a rare moment of action, Jasper quickly signed up for the class on Soresu training without looking up information on the class beforehand. Thing is, Jasper already knew about the third form of lightsaber combat through the use of the information gathering he did at the library. Normally for Jasper, he would look up information a class that was going to be taught to the students at the SJO and try to find as much info as he can on who was teaching it. But this time, he did not do that. Instead, opting to take the class without gathering more information on it and who was teaching it. A part of him in the back of his mind knew that was going to be a bad mistake, but for once in a long time, he was willing to take that chance. Especially considering the lightsaber form that was going to be taught.

Jasper had looked at some information on the different forms of lightsaber combat that was available to him and others in the library, and his views on some of them were mixed. He knew that form one and two were liked by him but he didn’t know about the other remaining forms. He did not go into deep detail on the mechanics of how each form worked only doing his best to understand what each form was all about. But out of all the forms that he looked at there was one that caught his eye more than the other forms. In fact, when he read up on what the form was about, he already knew that he was going to like that one without looking at the next forms before it and forgetting liking the other two forms before it.

Soresu, to Jasper, was liked by him for a lot of reason with the main one being its ability to keep the user alive in battle through defense. To keep the person alive when dealing with an attacker that was doing it best to overwhelm him. He wanted to think of himself as being cautious, a trait that he was forced to learn and develop back at his homework as a child, and Soresu mainly dealt with that. Being cautious and patient.

Jasper waited for the class to begin as he looked around to see any familiar faces.

As Aurelion made his way into the Temple he was in distinct and utter awe of the place. He could feel the Force ebb and flow with the ancient weight of history here. A tranquil, harmonious light was here, like the doting gaze of some timeless grandfather that passively observed each and every action that took place. Leaving an imprint of all that transpired. Including the vague screams of countless dying Jedi, like a noise carried on the wind to just barely brush the listener's ears or a vague, formless cold chill that arched down the spine of any who stood to listen too long.

Which, it seemed, Aurelion had in fact done as by the time he snapped himself from his reverie he shuffled into the class just a minute behind schedule. Slipping into the back of the room as quietly as he could Aurelion gave a small sigh of relief and drooped his pointed ears, a nervous gulp of apprehension leaving him as he considered the fact he had never.... quite.... practiced with his Lightsaber before. Though he was more than happy the first form he would truly be grappling with was solely focused on keeping him alive.

As Aurelion closed his eye, focusing on his Lightsaber, the hilt floated of it's own volition to his now-outstretched palm. Resting their with a soft wiggle that nestled the waiting blade comfortably into his grip. Settling there with a rightness of purpose and a comfortable feeling that Aurelion both accepted on a fundamental level and, suspected, he would never quite get over the thrill of. As his eye opened once more he glanced about briefly, the Force flowing and whispering to him as he waited patiently for the class to continue. His singular eye took note of Jasper Candos Jasper Candos for a moment, sensing the excitement and.... indecision? Trepidation? Jasper definitely felt a bit oddly about the class. Which surprised Aurelion.

As he idly looked away from Jasper, his eye settled on one K Kaine Australis and he gave a small smile to the Mandalorian, though this fact was not obvious to Aurelion, and gave a small nod at him. More a small, friendly gesture than anything else. Aurelion did not quite recognize the symbol emblazoned on his robes but... he was a Jedi that much Aurelion could sense clearly. It only occurring to Aurelion after his eye returned to watching Lon Vondon Lon Vondon that the Force was answering his call noticeably easier now. Though.... he could feel a small pressure behind his eyes, a light headache, from the casual sensing he had done of the room. Thus he recalled his senses and focused instead of mastering and centering himself, eye closing again as he waited for the next burst of activity from the class.

Amani had never been to the temple on Coruscant before, which in and of itself was a rather exciting prospect. However, a grand tour would have to wait, as it was not the reason she was here.

Soresu was the lightsaber form that Amani was most familiar with, but recent encounters had only proven that she had even more to learn than she realized. The padawan took the leap and joined the class, arriving a little bit early but sticking to the back to observe quietly. As people shuffled in and around, Amani looked surprised to see a familiar face having stumbled up next to her, Aurelion Nova Aurelion Nova . She was about to greet him when he seemed to be observing the rest of the room, unable to even recognize she was right there yet. Given all the other senses he was probably being bombarded with it didn't surprise her.

“Boo.” Amani nudged Aurelion and laughed quietly. “Didn’t expect to see you here!”

It was nice to find friends in unfamiliar places. Though her smile changed into a curious stare when her attention found its way to the hilt he had with him.

“Woooah! When did you get your own saber?”
