..:: Detailed Special Features ::..
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  • Internal Inertia Dampener - Due to the weapons size, both in weight and length, it has a rather powerful kickback. As an answer to this, the weapon is designed with a miniature inertia dampener to lessen the kickback on each fire. This system does its best when the weapon is in its three round burst fire setting, allowing for a more rapid volley of fire without the user having to constantly readjust their aim.

  • Ergonomic Grip - The weapon is designed with the needs of many species in mind. The placement of the trigger, and rifle grip are done in such a way that species without the standard five digit hands can still fire the weapon. This means that a Geonosian is just as able to wield the weapon as a Human is (provided they are properly trained in its use).

  • Removable Top Sights - The weapon is capable of having a variety of top sights added or removed due to a small railing at the top of the weapon. This means that an individual can attach a sighted scope, red dot scope, or any other aiming assist system to their liking.

Strengths:
  • Long-Range Capabilities
  • Internal Inertia Dampener

Weaknesses :
  • Unwieldy - Due to the weapons length, it is incredibly unwieldy and useless in more short to engaged ranges of combat.
  • Limited Ammunition
  • Special Training Required

..:: Description ::..
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sorenn-Syrush Industries proudly present the Tau Pulse Rifle Mark I, a weapon with the ideal that it is best to defeat the enemy from a far than to permit them to engage you up close. The weapon is designed to provide the means to permit a combat unit to engage an enemy at a safe range (most likely at such a range that the enemy's own weapons are out of their own effective firing range). Predominately designed for Scout and Reconnaissance units, it has also found favor in the rank and file Rifle squads.

However for all its advantages, it is beset by multiple disadvantages. The weapon itself is large and unwieldy, more suitable for at range engagements and become virtually useless in close quarters combat where a smaller more personal blaster would be of better use. It's limited ammunition also requires each individual to pick and choose their targets, making sure that each blast counts in the long run. Of course this coupled with its size means that any individual utilizing this weapon must undergo special training to prepare themselves for the unique particulars of the weapon.

Thus it is more likely that an individual would see this weapon in the hands of special units, rather than in the hands of the everyday palace guard.
