- Modularity: No
- Production: Unique
- Material: Sith Alchemized Silver, Capacitors, electrodes, Ultrasonic Vibration Generator, Crystal Oscillator's
- Classification: Chain/Hook combo
- Size: One-Handed/Two-handed
- Length: 4.58 Meters
- Weight: 25kg
- Channels and stores different forms of energy
- Superconductive: Due to the nature of how Sith alchemy often makes tools or weapons crafted with it superconductive the chain is capable of dispersing lightning, blasterbolts, and the energy from lightsabers across the entirety of the chain and storing the energy.
- Lightsaber resistant: As with most objects that are crafted with Sith Alchemy this is immune to lightsabers.
- Weight: This chain and hook are far heavier than any other regular chain due to the alchemization process and thus it can become quite unwieldy.
- Projectile weaponry: If one were to try and deflect or block ranged weaponry with the chain they'll find it to be increasingly difficult due to the nature of how chains work.
- Heat: Due to its super conductive nature the chain is capable of heating up to extreme temperatures which could cause the owner to be burned.
- Shock: If used to block electrical energy as its original purpose it is still incredibly likely the user will be shocked if not using the insulated grips.
DESCRIPTION
Having need for a new weapon to adapt his combat style more than it already is Alkor Centaris lacking the same technical ingenuity as his apprentice contacted Raejar in the hopes of getting a weapon capable of not only blocking Sith Lightning but also storing and re-utilizing the energy. That was the point of the hook and chain combo, it allowed Alkor to use it at a range against those combatant’s unfortunate enough to run across him. To begin it started with crafting the chain out of silver, a metal known for being conductive in its own right, then reaching out to the alchemists of The Sith Empire he'd pass the chain on to them to work their magic. The chain after alchemized is now far more conductive than a regular sith alchemized item making it conduct far more heat and energy while still possessing the ability to block lightsaber strikes, and blasterbolts. This effect also applies to electricity based weapon attacks such as an Arc Caster or even Force lightning. The superconductive nature allows the electrical energy to travel across the chain, something that many wouldn’t wish to do, especially if they’re wielding it. Though that’s why insulated grips were added at certain junctions of the chain making it easier for Alkor to use without fear of being burnt or shocked. Adding capacitors, electrodes and other mechanical components to the chain are what allow it to store the energy and store it to later be used. In specific junctions of the chain it has ultrasonic vibration vibrators installed giving it the same properties as a vibrosword, which is known for its ability to cut through armor, stone, and durasteel plating. The only thing is that the energy absorbed from lightsaber strikes, electricity, or even blasterbolts is routed to the tip or along certain junctions of the chain superheating it giving it far more cutting power akin to that of a lightsaber. Constant contact with the chain will begin to heat other objects it's in contact with possibly even cooking someone inside their armor. With a vast portion of the weight focused into the hook, this allows the blows to be dealt with kinetic force as well as cutting power.
The superconductive nature of the weapon comes with a few downsides that Alkor is aware of, one of which is just how hot the chain the becomes if struck too many times with energy weapons and absorbing it, easily capable of delivering third degree burns to the user if not holding the insulated grips, which anyone that’s used a chain as a weapon can tell you is not the easiest task. The next is the electrical shocks that the user could feel when absorbing electrical energy which could cause nerve damage or other types of damage. The chain and hook are both incredibly heavy making it slightly unwieldy when Alkor tries to carry it into combat, not only that but the length could give just as many issues with transporting it. One of the worst things about the weapon is that prolonged periods of heat could cause the chain to begin to melt which is not the best case scenario for Alkor. Yet due to the length and width of the chain it would take a substantial amount of time before it reached that point.
