SPECIAL FEATURES:
- Special storage compartments (Under bed, large compartments below, side wardrobe compartments, in-bunk foot compartment, and above bunk compartments) allow individuals to neatly and unobtrusively stow a great deal of personal possessions, clothing, and other items in secure biometrically-locked storage.
- Relaxa-Bed technology provides soothing deep sleep and full-body massage atop thermal gel which contours to users’ bodies and warms to their own body heat, providing superior restfulness where one hour’s sleep here is equal to four hours spent in a conventional bed.
- Built-in overhead lights are dimmable and allow users to read, write, etc. while relaxing in bed.
- Can accommodate most humanoid creatures and various types of bedding, ensuring just the right sleeping environment for many different species.
- Provides excellent rest and comfort, enabling a full night’s sleep (8 hours) in just a quarter of the time (2 hours), which ensures crew members are well-rested and able to operate at peak performance.

- Due to integrated storage areas, ‘bunks’ are not actually bunked, but rather each bed unit occupies its own section of the cabin space. This means that these bunks are not a sound choice for truly crowded ships where berths are at a premium, such as a standard warship, etc. They are better suited to smaller, custom vessels.
The main feature of the Somnus is the incredibly restful mattress. Providing sleep-inducing harmonics, Repulsor fields, contouring thermal gel, and even massage features, the Somnus bed can allow crewmembers to remain well-rested even after just a couple hours of sleep. Able to accommodate a variety of bedding, a user can snuggle in beneath her blankets, where the thermal gel-filled mattress warms to match her natural body temperatures as her entire body is massage softly off into a deep and refreshing cozy slumber.
If you want storage, the Somnus has got it. Mattress can be raised to reveal under-bunk storage, able to hold folded clothing, underclothes, and more. At the foot of the bed, an in-bunk compartment holds jewelry and other personal items, while below the bed lie two large, deep drawers which can hold larger items. Overhead, two smaller compartments also exist, and each bunk has a side-placed wardrobe compartment too. This allows for a tremendous amount of storage for each crew member’s clothing and personal items without using too much space aboard ship.
Comes in twin, twin-long, full, and double sizes, and can be configured for many different humanoids, however, non-humanoids and those with special requirements may find the Somnus uncomfortable and impossible to sleep on. The large units are not meant for ‘packed house’ voyages, but rather to provide incredibly comfortable, spacious sleeping facilities for smaller-sized crews, such as those aboard luxury private yachts, or for small groups or even lone spacers looking to travel with comfort!
