As of late, everything that had been going on in Calixte's life was extreme in one way or another. Either she was rushing off to do who knew what with her fellow Crusaders, or it was all about dressing up and making nice with the factions allied to the Confederacy. Raids, parties, drinks, and whatever else...After a while, it all became a bit much and the need to take a step back and do something out of the norm was required. For Calixte, she had reached that point. She was by no means burnt out, the redhead was still very much so devoted to her place in life and the family she had come to adore. But she just needed a day to do anything else.

Cali had been scrolling through her data pad, idly searching through stories, news, and fake this and that until she had come across some promotion for a zoo. It was an older place, something that had been established some time ago, but it was clearly losing business because the add was targeted to lure people in. Free refills on drinks bought from the zoo vendors all day long with price of admission. Not a bad deal considering the rip off most places like that had on their food and drink. And so with nothing better to do with her day, the redhead had abandoned her place and left to make way to this zoo.

When she arrived, she was pleased to find that it was not some run down, hole in the wall place with a handful of animals. It was a large, open area, and she could see from the admissions booth that the habitats were large as well. Cali paid to get herself in, and had even taken the map offered to her without rolling her eyes! By the time she had gotten into the actual zoo she had grown curious and maybe even a little excited to see what the place had to offer. Odd some might think, but really thinking back Calixte couldn't recall ever taking a trip to a zoo of any kind. So for her, this was a whole new experience, and once she planned to get the most out of.

Which started with going to one of the vendors and buying herself a drink so that she could make the most out of the promotion that had lured here in the first place.

Slowly Talon's life began to shape once again, over the past year he had little choice to rediscover himself. Through the help of Pomsky through he had regain partial parts of his memory and why he had lost the last five years of his life. It turns out that during Skirmish he had suffered life threatening injuries, and nearly losing an apprentice, he had induced flashburn on himself. Through the process he had unfortunately wiped his own memory, now he was rebuilding and forging new memories, and once again is employed within the Knights of Obsidian.

Under pressure to be acquainted with the CIS, and for the most part he could only remember certain people or places, making it strangely awkward when people would approach him that he was supposed to have known, in which he had no memory of. It was nice to get away and relax without any obligation.

What a better place than a zoo, Talon had never been to one before. Retrieving a map from his back pocket neatly creased and folded in half, noticing a vender one could buy a drink. A striking lass was doing the same, she was alone. Talon wasn't about to interrupt someone else's date or even a family outing. Confident Talon would not be intruding might as well enjoy the day with a beautiful women. He generally isn't this forthcoming.

“Aye M'Lady, I how is it that a beautiful;women comes to a zoo such as this alone? Forgive me If I am bit forthcoming”.

While it wasn't entirely uncommon to find pairs of people, couples especially, loitering around such places, today it bothered Calixte just a tad. Her arms had folded while she waited her place in line, and her fingers drummed against one of her arms as she looked about and took in the fact that she was probably one of the few who had come her unattended. Not the only one of course, but she was seeing more pairs of people than any singular form wandering about.

Cali had more or less been lost in the reverie of her own thoughts, idly moving her place in line as it pressed forward, when she was spoken to. The redhead blinked a couple of time in rapid succession, then shift her gaze to the keeper of the voice who had pulled her back. For a moment she studied this man, eyeing him and taking in the presence that he put off. Once again her fingers drummed against the soft flesh of her arm, but a soft sort of smile appeared on her lips.

"You're forgiven." she told him simply, and then once again moved her place in line though without looking away from him. "And to answer your inquiry, I'm here alone because I arrived that way." she answered with a shrug of a shoulder. "I hadn't considered the idea of bringing someone else along. I simply made a last minute decision and made my way here." A slender brow loft as she looked at him now. "And what about you? Why are you here on your own?"

Talon was in the same boat; he didn’t give a second thought to be accompanied by someone . Actually that was the furthest thing from his mind. Until now as the both of them engaged in subtle conversation he noticed couples coming and going passing by hand in hand. He questioned himself, why wouldn’t he really, the zoo would be great place to learn about someone you share a common interest with. Also in the same breath he had a many great things on his mind to firstly entertain the idea.

As far as the real reason he had ventured to the zoo was too find solace away from the confederacy and its hectic schedule to clear his mind and find clarity. “To be honest with you, I was in need of a much needed break from my regular duties, what better way to experience something new" He was finding it difficult at this moment to break free from her mesmerizing gaze. Realizing he may have been staring. He pulled out the map from his pocket, ruffling the pages. “Besides would be nice to be accompanied by pleasant company. My name is Talon, pleasure to meet you.” Offering to shake hands with the lass.

Oh Calixte was very much so aware of the fact that he was staring. It caused the redheaded woman to loft a brow, but rather than look annoyed or seem offended, she actually looked amused. She had been keeping the eye contact after all, at least until he had looked away to busy himself with his map. "I most certainly understand the need to step away from your day to day and do something else." she made a vague gesture around herself. "That's more or less why I showed up here in the first place. I didn't even stop to think about it, I just read an add, and now here I am because it's out of my norm."

When he introduced himself, Cali's smile relaxed a touch, "I'm Calixte," she informed him, and then once again moved ahead a place in line. "And I don't see the harm in having some company wandering about the zoo with me." With that being said, she turned to the window once it was her turn and ordered her drink. She got her souvenir cup, thanked the kid behind the counter, and then stepped aside so that Talon could get his drink if he was going to. "Anything in particular you want to see first?" she questioned him curiously.

Talon came to hear about this place by word of mouth more or less. A friend of his suggested the zoo as place one could separate themselves from the outside world, on a different note perhaps it would bring forgotten memories to light.

Talon didn’t believe he had been here before, but who knows mabe certain senses will trigger a memory, as it were Talon listened intently as Calixte spoke to him. “Pleasure to meet you, To be honest I do not have a specific animal in mind.” Pausing for a moment, Talon had the sense he just might have invaded her personal space and her agenda. Calixte came across as the type of person who knew what she wanted, and if you were not welcome than you would surely hear about it.

“I hear the Saber cats are a fantastic animal, I am actually surprised they are here, hmm how does that sound t you?” he asked politely while the boy behind the counter finished pouring his drink.”Sir" the boy replied”Thank you" and moved to the side so the other people in line could order.
