Somebody Mixed My Medicine [Complete]

Coruscant - A random Bar in the lower levels

A data pad in hand, the blonde seemed busy in her corner of the bar, right by the exit. A dank little corner, but it was her corner and anyone who thought otherwise, well ... the Bothan had needed to go to the hospital anyway, small little problem of a knife jammed into his shoulder. You know .. nothing too major. She, was not to be messed with. Not tonight. And after the Bothan business the bar sure seemed to settle down. With a scotch, neat in front of her, she typed quickly sending a message to a trusted contact.

Just a simple text message.

Soon the avalanche will begin. The pebbles do not vote today. We will meet in the hour of the scampering, red 3. -Ele

Red 3 ... well for those in Chaos, within her organization knew the meaning. The rest, well ... Everyone would figure it out eventually, but for now that was not an issue. Her contact knew exactly what the words meant.

Ele has entered into the Abyss: Welcome Ele.

She glanced to her chrono, the hour marked. Soon..... A few more minutes passed, and contently she let them as the chat held no logs, showed nothing but to those in it at the very moment it was typed, disappearing soon after into the deepest darknesses of the holonet.

Ele: The hour of scampering is upon us.

Ele: And et tu Brute'?

So she was finally ready to speak. It had taken a lot of time, effort, and money to set up this meeting. Even more to make sure that the meeting would be uninterrupted. The inevitable bonus he would have to pay to the stabbed bothan was a nuisance, but a minor one given the payout involved if this meeting was a success.

Kama has entered into the Abyss: Welcome Kama.

Kama: The pebbles are looking to the heavens. It is time for the twelfth one to display the golden stone path. He who sees all and not readies pebbles for the day of unwinding.

Cora sat for a moment, before taking a sip of the scotch before her and setting it back down. Idly she ran her finger around the rim thinking upon what had been said. They were words only she knew, with a few select others. Codes that meant nothing if an outsider ever saw them anyway.

Ele: Ah, you seek meaning. Then listen to the music, not the song. For in the music is the path. Are you ready to understand yourself? To truly know. Only then the twelfth one can show Brute' what it is to fight legends. Is Brute' ready to know thy self? Otherwise, the pebbles be your temple.

Cryptic, but that was the nature of the things Cora did. In order to stay safe, keep things from being discovered the woman had to hide beneath layers of security protocols, layers of encryption. Even if one did get to the actual words written, to understand ... Well there was that old saying, 'understanding is a three edged sword'. One had to be careful not to get cut. With a sigh Cora downed the last of her drink and waited for what she knew was bound to be an interesting response. Was he ready to meet her? Was he worthy? Well, she was bound to find out soon enough.

Usually bars were not her favorite place to work but she'd needed a taste of her medicine, needed a drink tonight. And right now, this bar felt safe as she could possibly get. After all no one really knew her here, or her past deeds. It was a good thing, a very good thing indeed, just to have a quiet night with a drink in hand, and her data pad working quietly on something brand new. The galaxy would remember her name. One way or another.

So she was finally seeking a meeting. They had met before, in a past life. But that was a fact she was unware of, and if he had his say it would stay that way. For he was Seigi Kan now, and the past must not be allowed to affect the future.

Kama: The temple is the mark of the sinners, we must create music to soften the pain. The hour of scampering is nigh past, should I know myself before the scampering has completed or wait until it is once again the right hour?

It would be simple enough to meet her right now, but [member="Cora Passek"] was skitish. Understandably so. It was best to give her the chance to set the terms, so that she would feel safe. Too much delay was not her style though, not when she had something she wanted. Something that coinsided with his own desires. The Galaxy would know him too, and learn to fear them both.

Cora rapped her fingers on the table, thinking for a minute. Meetings were always a dangerous time for her, most dangerous. Most going in, she was twitchy to shoot someone on a good day, a bad day ... Well let's just say that there wouldn't be anything left to find of the being she was meeting. Fortunately for Brute' ... This, this was a good day. A day where the course of nations would begin to change, all with a few ideas in mind.

Ele: Yes, music must be born.

A smirk formed on her lips, an idea born. A thought now budding into full bloom.

Ele: The hour of longing is soon to be here. Seek meaning in the shadows, in the darkness is the meaning you seek. Yellow six. The hour of longing, do not forget. For the chance will not come again. When the sun sets on the third day, seek the meaning in the shadows in the hour of longing.

Kama: The shadows will be met during the hour of longing. The twelfth one must be careful, as the pebbles can be a wall for only moments before rolling away.

Kama has left the Abyss

And with that the meeting was set up. Before putting his datapad away, he sent out another signal. Nearly in unison every patron of the bar stood up and left, not one looking to the blonde woman in the back. For all Cora knew, Seigi had been one of those patrons. Hiding in plain site without his disguise. Given what his appearance would be when they met next, she would never know.

They would meet again in three days.

Cora lofted a brow at the last message, understanding his meaning all too well. There was a reason the pebbles were not getting to vote today. But that reason she kept to herself. Not involving the pebbles just simplified the problem she had. Then everyone, and I do mean everyone just stood up at once and left the bar, leaving it desolate, and the blonde wide eyed, worried and wondering what the hell just happened. The idea of being watched was one she hated, knowing she was watched was worse but the worst came when you knew everyone in the room just might be part of a larger scheme to keep you closed in, on a leash and that she did not like the idea of.

The bar, that comfortable bar... just no longer felt safe to her. Downing the rest of her scotch at one go, she took the exit she had been sitting beside that emptied into the back alleyway. She would meet Brute', also known as Kama in three days, and right now she had much work to do. Then she would get to know the real man, and perhaps a bond would be formed a united front against what she believed to be wrong and evil. Or ... she'd find just another idiot that she had to get rid of. One or the other, it seemed she never found someone truly in the middle.

Yellow Six, was a code for a place ... One known only to a handful of her people. A safe house, one of many in constant rotation and use as it had always been. Yellow Six was in fact somewhere on Coruscant, but she'd have to be followed to know just exactly where. As she came to a dumpster, a rather terribly smelly one, she glanced over her shoulders both ways before reaching inside and grabbing a large duffel bag and slinging the heavy thing over her shoulders. As for what it contained exactly, that was known just to her. Various tools of her trade, from small explosive devices, to grenades, few other tools. Right now, she needed to go to the safe house and setup a few traps, just in case she needed a fast out and a dead contact. It wouldn't be the first time she'd blown someone to paste, and was highly unlikely to be her last.

Three days later, Seigi entered the safe house. Cora had indeed been followed to the safe house, as he was sure she had expected. It was unlikely she had spotted her watchers though, few people suspected children. Children made great spies, they tended to be naturally loyal to anyone that would trust them with something "important" and were more than cabable of carrying out simple tasks like watching for a specific someone or carrying a sealed message.

Moving into the darkness, Seigi did not bother to turn on the lights. His helmet automatically switched to low light visibility, and his eyes tracked for any obvious threats. Not that he thought he would see any. Picking a chair in a corner, he sat where even with the lights on he would be partly in shadows. Inside his cape a devise hummed quietly, sending out a jamming signal that would not only eliminate any outside communication, but also any listening devises... and any remote detonators.

Now it was Cora's turn, as the Hour of Longing drew closer by the second.

Cora smirked as she glanced to a warning screen on her datapad, a good mile away. A few more lights came on, marking his path through her home, even the jamming signal, she knew as she lost signal. Something she would have done herself, annoyed he'd do it himself. But he didn't know about the pressure plates, or the trip wires hidden in darkness in convenient places, should he have been foolish and strayed too far, he likely would have learned the hard way.

Now, he was waiting in the darkness for her. In her lair. And in that she had the advantage knowing the layout, the exits, the traps still in play. The woman, no fool. Too many times had these meetings wrong awry and this time, with the possibility of a kindred soul, she worried. Twitchy now after the events at the bar, but she didn't want to lose this one. Not unless dire circumstances changed what she needed to do. If this was just a trick... So much was going to have to change. His actions left her worried that this was yet another trap for her. But was it?

Finally after a long while of just watching the safe house she walked slowly to it, hood covering her long blonde locks. Most worn to obscure her face as she moved into the shadows. With great care she walked, coming to a fire escape. Pulling it down quietly she climbed up the side of the safe house and finally to a window where she carefully undid a trip wire and opened it slowly. A set of switches at the first wall she came to as she stepped over a pressure plate, was the lights to the entire floor, and knowing he'd be waiting likely on the first floor, she switched on only what was needed before heading down the flight of stairs.

Since no other traps had been set off, she assumed he was in the first open room. As she rounded a corner, she flipped that single switch. But yet did not enter the room. She waited, more than long enough. Her blaster drawn, only then did she enter. "It's not your house, not your rules." She said firmly, blaster raised and it was going to stay this way. "Rather rude don't you think? Careful as I am did you think I'd let anyone listen in? Or were you more concerned about being paste on the walls tonight?" Clearly meaning every word. "I don't like it when other people kill the bugs. And I don't like masked men." He'd irritated her, with his actions. However she was not out of options. That still left her with a half full duffel of miscellaneous goods that were just as easy to use, grenades on her belt, plenty to work with. "Which if you are what you said you were, that wouldn't be needed. It only makes me think you have other things in mind than just a chat."

The audio enhancers in his helmet were tuned to the jamming devices specific signtature, a nessessity if he wished to speak to Cora while weaing the mask. It also allowed him to hear the fire escape distantly, and her moving around the safe house. As she stopped just outside the room, he listened to her soft breathing while watching the spot she would appear from fingers laced and resting on his crossed leg.

"If I wanted you dead Cora, you would already be dead," he said after she had finished speaking. The helmut distorted his voice, leaving it still male sounding but impossible to recognize. "The mask is a nessissity I'm afraid. You need not worry about who I used to be, only that I am now 'Seigi Kan' and I have the same desires as you. Seperate, our orginizations can do some damage. Together, as part of Chaos, we could change the Galaxy. Many small avalances merging to become something unstoppable."

"Not helping your case right now." She said, her expression drifting to a frown. This wasn't the way she liked this done, much preferring things out in the open. Hiding was something she loathed. Messing with her things, even more so.

"And I'm not worried on who you used to be. I could care less even. I just want to know who you are." She shook her head slowly. "If I can't see you, I don't trust you, and you see this makes for a very bad business arrangement. When everything is based on fragile trust, and right now you are the last person I trust." Her hand hadn't moved, still aiming at him. "And I never gave you my name. Chaos knows me as Ele. Which makes me only wonder even more who you are and why exactly you are here. So I highly suggest you start explaining yourself and fast." A slight growl in her tone, a little angry now, and angry made her twitchy. "Ninety seconds, starting right now for reasons why I don't just shoot you and leave it at that."

Seigi Kan

Masked Terrorist
"To start, if you shoot me then you will never succeed in destroying the Sith," he said calmly. Apparently the threat of death did not worry him. "But I know that probably will not change your mind by itself. As you said, you do not trust me. As to my identity, I have already told you. I am Seigi Kan. What you see is who I am, everything else is unimportant. For how I know you, I have been aware of you for quite some time now. Joining Chaos was simply the easiest way to meet you in person. No one outside of my orginization is aware of your identity but me."

Slowly he stood up, his hands clearly empty as he did. "You are wise not to trust me, there are many who would see our work undone. Few that would dress in such an... obvious manner as me I suspect." A hint of humor might have leaked through the voice changer. Then he lifted a gloved hand holding it out toward her. "Instead of trusting me words, trusts my actions. Watch me strike against our enemies and leave no doubt as to my intentions." His voice grew fierce with the last sentance, and his outstretched fingers clentched in a tight fist.

"I can manage the Sith just fine." Maybe she could, with the right people on board and Seigi was not her favorite choice for that cause at the moment. "No, you did not tell me who you are, only a name. And a name is many things, but it is not the name that makes the man." Firmly holding the belief that while names had power, in the realm of shadows, darkness and cover ID's, a name was nothing. A name was not proof of who the person was, or what they stood for, or would do. A name .... Even Cora's name was just a nickname, not her true name. "Then unless I out myself to the public, as the voice of Chaos, don't speak the name again. You never know who is watching, or listening. Even with bug killers, you never know." And she had more cover ID's than she had explosive devices.... But even with those protections, she still guarded her own name closely. Not that it had always been that way, Cora had just learned better to hide her tracks. The hard way, but she had learned from her early mistakes.

"What I see is a masked man, who has shown me nothing of what he is. Nothing of who he is. You speak words, of action? But do you walk the walk as you seem well versed to talk the talk?" Her eyes narrowing upon him, not liking those that spoke big, as so few ever followed through. "And who are our enemies? Who would you strike first? The Republic? The Fringe? The Confedrates? Who do you wish dead? The Sith as I always have?" Not knowing what she was herself, that statement one day might just bite her in the butt. "For whom do you seek justice?" For she knew without a doubt who she sought justice for, but was he on the same page as she? Hopefully he'd be more open, willing to tell. Especially considering she had not lowered her weapon, still waiting for enough to be spoken for that tiny bridge of trust to start to form. Though with him so unwilling, it was going to take seeing what he would do in order to allow for any trust to form at all with the way the conversation had been going so far.

"I seak justice for the weak, those who have suffered under the injustice of governments that only seek more power at the expense of others. It does not matter who they are, if they repress the weak then they shall learn to fear the sight of me."

His hand fell to his side within his cape as he spoke. "I shall prove my resolve to you. Within a week, the entire Galaxy will know what I am capable of. If it does not meet your expectations, well you can decide my fate at that time." Though whether he would meet that fate or not was an entirely diffrent manner. There were obvious advantages to a hidden identity.

"Well that pretty much means every government there is. As there isn't a single one that doesn't seek power at the expense of the weak and innocent." She shook her head slowly, thinking. Ambitious what he was wanting that was if he really was looking to seek out all the governments that had wronged their people at the cost of power. The Republic alone lately had over stretched, killing far too many. They were just as guilty as the others in the galaxy.

"Ambitious. Perhaps, too much so." Eyes searched the rounded glass of his mask, wondering who sat behind the mask. Was he all that he said? Well, he was going to have to prove himself worthy.

"Then prove yourself worthy Brute'. For whom does the bell toll?" Back to coded phrases.

"Then we shall see what you can bring to Chaos. Your true self."

Seigi Kan

The masked man bowed his head slightly. Admitedly he had not expected her to let him leave so easily, but it was best for them both that she did not. "The bell tolls for the oldest of the houses of sin wearing a new face. The static shall clear before the seventh hour of longing. We shall follow time Twelfth One."

Stepping forward, Seigi kept far enough away from Cora not to spook her while not moving so far as to seem afraid. He did not watch her gun as he left the apartment, he was showing he trusted her and that he was no coward. To accomlish his goals, Seigi would need the help of Cora and her own terrorist network. He had to play his part perfectly.

She had been right about him being ambitious. However, she had no idea just how ambitious he was.

"Send word and proof once it is done. You know where the path to enlightenment lies. Seek me on the ninth day, in the hour of scampering. Blue 14." Cora nodded, and only watched as he left the building. She had an idea of who he would attack, the code known only to them. It was just to what extent he would go to and who or what exactly the target was. It was all a waiting game now.
