  • Model: N/A
  • Production: Unique
  • Affiliation: Solari
  • Modularity: Yes, but no more so than any HRD.
  • Material: Duralium, Ultrachrome, Synthetic Bio-Fibers, Polymer-Alloy, HRD components
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
  • Classification: Fourth Degree
  • Weight: 100kg (not including Shard host)
  • Height: 172cm
  • Movement: Bipedal
  • Armaments: No internal armaments.
  • Misc. Equipment: None.
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Solari's S-1 model chassis is not quite a human replacement droid, designed for exploration and the life of a Jedi, rather than cloned skin it has a flexible ultrachrome weave mesh, giving it the characteristic reflective silver appearance.
  • The S-1 model, like all Iron Knight chassis, can only be used by a Shard and the Shard can transfer between any appropriate equipped chassis.
  • The S-1 is built for a flexible mix of strength, durability and agility, rather than pure combat performance.
  • The S-1 model can use any equipment built for a standard humanoid form of it's size.
Strengths:
  • Inhuman: The S-1 model is no battle droid, but it still possess inhuman strength, speed, agility and durability.
  • Ultrachrome-weave: Not as strong as ultrachrome plate, but the chassis grants Very High to resistance to Lightsabers and (due to it's conductivity preventing anything passing within the shell) High resistance to Ion weapons.
Weaknesses:
  • Big Kaboom: The S-1 model's ultrachrome mesh has one important flaw - it's conductivity. If exposed to a enough energy that it can conduct, the entire upper epidermis of the droid chassis will melt down at once, utterly destroying the chassis.
DESCRIPTION
Constructed by Jedi Master Aqinos in the later years of the Galactic Civil War for Solari, the S-1 model chassis draws upon many of the technologies inherent in protocol / luxury droids and human replica droids to create what may be a work of art. It appears in all manner to be a lifelike humanoid with a flexible silver-blue metal skin in place of human skin. It utilises what at the time was exceptionally advanced technology stolen from the Empire and purchased from the Rebel Alliance by the Iron Knights in their quest to present a form to the galaxy at large that was accepted.

Truthfully, Solari was never one of Aqinos inner circle and her parent regarded it/her as something of a tearaway - so she was not trusted with the more powerful battle or war droid forms and instead given a form which while considerably more advanced in its ability to integrate a Shard into society, was little more advanced than the already developed HRD. The main advance is the ultrachrome-mesh weave throughout the upper flexible skin layers, which gives the S-1 model a remarkable resistance to lightsabers and ion weapons for a unit of its size.

As a later model in the Iron Knight production runs, the S-1 is fully capable of allowing it's Shard host/pilot to depart via specialised equipment (or brute force) and to accept the same host later. However, each model is tuned to the hosts unique silcon structure and electromagnetic signature - the S-1 model cannot be used by any other Shard without recycling or repurposing the host chassis to a significant degree.
